Yes but I think what you were trying to say it lost in all the talk about concepts.

You should have just said that the NSX concept and the DNX concept are the same.

Hahahaha my bad

So we are about to get the new Corvette? Or will it turn out be another NSX Concept that hasn't appeared yet?

Hope not, anyway I hope I can get my hands on the camoed version and that it remains in the game after the normal version arrived.

Are you referring to this NSX Concept: https://www.gtplanet.net/new-gran-turismo-track-revealed-in-nsx-concept-video/
Which is different from the Honda Dualnote/Acura DN-X. Similar but different.

The Acura NSX Concept has only been shown in a video, but the Corvette Prototype appears to be in the game already. So you could say we already did "get" the car, we're just waiting for it to be unlocked for use.

That is the main reason why I am looking at this different than the NSX.

This isn't some video sent over the internet by PD or Sony, it was found by a GT5 user and followed up by a Kaz FB post.:)

Plus Chevrolet themselves addressed it.

Just pointing out yes they are different but basically the same. Different variation of the nsx. Same engineering (motor layout) looks are a bit different.

But yes i highly doubt that this will happen with the Corvette.

Of course I was referring to the NSX from the video. I didn't understand a word of all that Dualnote/DN-X talk, lol, sorry. Just expressed a doubt I had on the C7, sure the appearence in the demo and the car count at the Chevy dealer makes it obvious and almost certain we already have it.

Thing is we where never officially promised to get the NSX(I mean the NEW one, the one in the video), how about the C7?

edit: what exactly was said in that FB post?

Here's the story thus far, for those that missed it.

6th Nov: GT5 Update 2.09 secretly adds the Chevrolet Corvette C7 Test Prototype ’13 to the game.
GTPlanet members report that the Chevrolet dealership shows 17 cars available for purchase, but there are only 16 models actually available. m8h3r later confirmed that the count was 16 before the update.

11th Nov: jstickboy13 starts this thread stating that the C7 Prototype can be seen during GT5's dealer demonstration. Videos are made by others confirming the statement and this news article hits the front page:https://www.gtplanet.net/camouflaged-corvette-c7-new-aventador-appear-in-gran-turismo-5/

12th-15th Nov: SpartanUK GTPlanets own "Resident Psychic" leaves some words of wisdom:
Just wait a little longer, you all... (well, some of you - the luckiest ones - might wait a little less... :D )
All I can say at this point is... someone in this thread guessed it right! =)
I should probably have jumped back here a little earlier considering the direction the thread took, but I have been busy. Sorry guys!
Hmm... let's see...
If you are not interested in driving "just" a C7 Test Prototype (that is more than what the majority of us will be able to do in real life anyway...), I can only suggest to ignore it.(Or maybe to wait even longer and see... =) )

13th Nov: 4everdelayed posts this which has a supposed GM employee saying:
"Dust off your PS3's. It will be playable before the end of the....oh wait, I can't say that."
and "long before anyone sees it in Detroit"
14th Nov: By this point many other sites have picked up the story including AutoWeek:
"We put a call in to Chevy to ask what the deal was: All they would say is that Chevy is working closely with the Sony to offer players of GT5 an authentic driving experience with the new Corvette. Chevy said more details would be available at a later date." -Jake Lingeman
http://www.autoweek.com/article/201...s-in-Gran-Turismo-5&utm_campaign=awdailydrive

15th Nov: Kazunori-san posts this on Face Book: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7811239#post7811239
This post doesn't tell us anything other than the fact that he knows we know. SpartanUK returned to tell us that the Face Book page is legitimate.

28th Nov: After nearly two weeks of silence we finally get the official word via the PlaystationBlogEu:
The PlaystationBlogEu post (which was removed a few hours after it surfaced)
PS3 DLC
Gran Turismo 5
Corvette C7 Test Prototype ’13
Prices: Free
Availability: All (releases 29th November)

In the Autoweek link there was the only thing that is appropriate on beeing called a confirmation:

"We put a call in to Chevy to ask what the deal was: All they would say is that Chevy is working closely with the Sony to offer players of GT5 an authentic driving experience with the new Corvette. Chevy said more details would be available at a later date."

Can anybody who can read Japanese translate the FB post? I always sucked at the characters and I wouldn't trust Bing with a 10ft pole

All you have to do is copy and paste it into Google translate

All you have to do is copy and paste it into Google translate

1: How do you propose I 'copy and paste' something in an image?

2: Using another translator would completely defeat the purpose as translators are often vague and blatantly wrong in places. Hence my asking if anybody has studied Japanese or is at least fluent and could provide a translation

It was a simple request that shouldn't have bothered you in any way, so your snarky remark has been duly ignored.

Just to let you know i wasn't trying to be rude or snarky in anyway. I was actually trying to help you. Words get mixed up really fast bro. I suggest before you think that someone is trying to be rude ask to find out because I wasn't. I am really getting tired of people getting so quick to making false assumptions.

I didn't know it was a image that's all you would have had to say. Because if something is written (ehich you said post) in Japanese you could copy and paste it into Google translate. I have done it before I even have it on my phone. But a image I am pretty sure yes you might have to have someone translate it.

All i have to say is I am not trying to take this all out on you but it is getting really old. For future reference think or ask a question before you make a assumption about what i said or someone else.

My apologies. I haven't had the greatest of experiences here so my immediate reaction is defense, skipping the middle man as it's generally the correct one.

The FB post from Kaz was posted as a screen shot, my ability to translate Japanese is limited to verbal, I haven't sat down to study the written language yet because I'm lazy like that. But from what I've learnt, I've learnt never to trust google translate, especially for cryptic and vague posts such as this.

I requested the translation not because I couldn't be bothered bringing out a character sheet and copying each individual character into google, but because I felt the best option would be the possibility that in this vast community, there is a massive chance of there being someone who speaks both fluent Japanese and English and could translate the post more efficiently for everyone to have a better hope of figuring out what Kaz was getting at, rather than the bizarre translation Bing offered.

I understand. Apologies accepted. I just didn't want you to get a false impression. Specially when i didn't mean it that way. Anyway all good bro thumbs up.

But yeah if it is one of Kaz's famous short responses it may not translate it correctly. I tried to do it with a short French sentence and it did mistake a couple words.

I've been using internet translators for a very long time. So I developed a way of rephrasing the results of the translators. This is what I believe it could possiblly mean.

(...) he's probably just saying something like:

"We'll get this at some point"

"Sometimes I seem to get it" meaning, trying the showroom viewer.

It's odd and mysterious, but that's probably the way he wanted to be. :dopey:

Calling fake. Rims are wrong and overall looks way too rough.

EDIT: Not sure on second glance. Just after that Aventador got spied as well...

car and driver magazine got pics of the real one, look on their website. so yeah its real, is it going to be in the game? probably since they put it in the beginning video after the update. and it looks rough because its camo is designed with little suds and creases and shapes to cover it. thats why its in camo? duh. havnt you seen a real life camoed car?

He posted that a very long time ago, before there was much proof of it. Obviously it's real because it has since been (sorta) confirmed. Don't talk to him like he's stupid.

Also, you may want to work on your grammar as per the AUP. Maybe adjust your attitude alittle otherwise your stay here on these forums will be short but not sweet.

I do agree with you cargo, BUT, I fear a good portion of the people on here could also do with the same attitude re-adjustment.

Yea, but since he's a new member, he is certainly not starting out on the right foot.

You know what would be nice?

If the new members would cooperate so we could actually get back on topic with this thread.

Not really sure what there is to get back on topic about, honestly. We know we're getting the test car, but beyond that we're in the dark.
