Can you do the nurburgring without crashing or spinning out

There's no guarantee when using Sports Hard during a night race. But my knowledge of the track is pretty good.

I'm not too skilled when it comes to driving GT cars though. I think I'm more prone to over speeding since I take lines that I usually take with production cars on the Nordschleiffe i.e. S2000.

It just takes practice.

I found hot lapping in the Zonda R made me a much better driver around the ring. It improved my skill with lmp cars because it requires similar throttle control but doesn't have quite the grip. So once I hop in an lmp I almost feel like I can let loose.

Also, driving the Zonda for a while makes handling the ring in slower cars a breeze. Try ten laps in the Zonda then switch to a German touring car. The track will feel like it's four lanes across.

I've done it plenty of times. Did the 4 hr endurance, and other than part of my car leaving the road to pass the slow AI, I didn't crash or spin for the entirety of the race.
I've also done a couple drift laps with my friend and didn't crash or go off the road, which is quite an achievement for me o_O

The only time I fear I may crash at nurburgring is when I drive a car I've never driven before and have no idea what to expect with the handling or the limits of the car. But thank science it's a video game and not real life so I am able to test the limits :P

I would say I have done it a countless number of times if I'm really focused on getting good laps rather than say, just messing about with my friends. I also have major fun driving old classics (Stratos, Miura, 512BB, etc.) that are completely stock, aids off, including ABS. Soooo much fun. :sly:

Yes, I use a DS3, all aids off.
However I've been trying to beat the RL time of the ZR1 on Sports Hards and then Sports Mediums (it was using Semi-Slicks :P) on the 'Ring and it's fairly impossible for me to shave that last five seconds no matter how much I try... (4 hours lol).
Never spun out even in this car, nor crashed. Guess I'm too cautious over the throttle, which is a good thing as it's better than smacking into a wall. :)

Maybe off-topic, but:

I mostly use Nurburgring as a test track for all new cars I get. And when doing so, I certainly want to see how well the stand up timewise to other cars that I have driven on the track before that. But, if you use a car that is hard to drive you sometimes accidently will drive on some grass - and when you do that after driven 5, 6 minutes or so you have to start all over again because your time is disqualified.

I think this is really frustrating. Somebody agree?

I've literally done thousands of laps on the Ring since GT4 and at some point it just becomes part of you and you don't have to think a lot anymore when you go around it - you just know where the natural points are where you change gear, where you can push it, where a bump will unsettle the car. It just becomes organic. It even doesn't matter much which car you change into. I think there's some tracks where a natural flow develops and on some tracks you always feel forced to do certain things in order to be fast. The Ring is certainly one of the former, although, simply because of its length, it might take a while.

I've also made the experience that compared to other drivers, I'm able to achieve much better results on the Ring, which is simply down to experience, which is key there.

I always crash using rear wheel drive cars, trying the new V12 Vantage and set a target time of around 7'47 or something (completely stock) but I got 8'09 and I crashed 3 times and got the rear too happy many a time which meant sideways action. I get quite aggravated every time and then get bored. The only times I'm happy with are my Veyron and R8 laps. Even they look average on here lol.

I know the track fairly well and am capable of lapping without crashing. I'm easily distracted however, and do crash fairly often. Especially when i'm pushing it a little bit.

Yer I can do the Nurburgring without crashing or spinning out. I've been round it so much I can nearly do it when its pitch black.

Spasiboy
Many people said they can do it clean so why that sarcastic reply occured only in my case?

Cause I haven't read them till know cause I forgot to sub to this or check it till know so yeah

I can do clean/fast laps with any car under 600pp however after that, things become more of a challenge for me. I drove the ring on a daily basis doing shuffle racing, and it helped alot :)

I never used too get a full clean lap done but now only the most inbalenced cars (RUF Yellowbird, i'm calling you!!) lead to crashes at the 'ring :D

No :banghead:
I like 'the green hell' but it doesnt like me!
I only ever won 2 online races there out of about 50 attempts
