Bah, so much for the offical rules then.

But he bent the realease date three of four times so this should be nothing big, right?

There goes any chance of getting more premium cars or extra tracks.

Of course, we may be able to convince the idiots in charge that using DLC could be advantageous, if we can get some numbers behind us. Someone needs to set up an official petition for DLC in GT5 and get buy-in from all the major GT forums. At the very least I want a livery editor patch (and time-based instead of laps-based online & arcade mode races if they're not there already), but hopefully more.

They said they watch forums, so we really have a chance to make a change here. I for one would be very willing to wait an extra year or two for GT6 if it meant regular updates to GT5, since GT5 would be basically perfect if it had more premiums and a livery editor.

Also, no one realeases a game as "a start". The DLCs are just there to make it better once it's up.

Didnt you read the article this game is so massive that DLC is not going to Fit. Your Forza livery will neve be in gran turismo get over it. all of the fantasies you have are a smh for Yamauchi san.

I quite like the SP1, but would have preferred the P540 Superfast Aperta (the SP2):

That said, it's be a damn shame if there aren't iconic Ferraris such as the 250 GTO.

Well, we have under 20 Premium cars that we haven't seen. Hoping for some nice surprises.

Was the P4/5 the SP3?

Was the P4/5 the SP3?

To my knowledge, the P4/5 was built prior to the Ferrari Portfolio Program. Ferrari wanted to get in on the coach-building business after seeing cars like the P4/5, 612 Kappa, etc.

I'd love an up to date car list of french dealers (renault, citroen, peugeot).
Is the person posting vids on youtube a member of GT planet?

I'm still hoping for a Maserati MC and 355.
And I'm amazed that there's still no Peogeot 206? Was one of the best rallying cars...

This will be in GT5, since it was in GT4, so don't worry.

Last night I thought... "I could easily think about 30 important stock cars from that aren't included in GT5, forgetting about Porsche". These are some of the cars I thought:

Abarth 500 '09
Abarth Punto Evo '10
Aston Martin DBS '08
Aston Martin One-77 '10
Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10
Audi A1 1.4 TFSI '10
Audi RS5 '10
Audi RS4 '05
Bentley Continental Supersports '09
BMW M1 '78
BMW M3 E30 Evolution II '88
BMW M3 E36 '95
BMW M5 E39 '98
BMW 850Ci '89
Bugatti Veyron SuperSports '10
Cadillac CTS-V '09
Caparo T1 '11
Citroën C2 VTS '05
Citroën DS3 Racing '10
Ferrari 288 GTO '84
Ferrari 360 Modena '00
Ferrari 599 GTO '10
Ford Focus RS '09
(Koenigsegg)
Lamborghini Reventon '09
Opel Corsa OPC '07
Opel Astra OPC ' 06
Opel Insignia OPC '09
Opel GT '07
Peugeot RCZ '10
Renault Mégane RS Sport F1 Team R26 '08
Renault Clio RS '06
Volkswagen Golf V R32 '05
Volkswagen Golf VI GTI '09
Volkswagen Golf VI R '10
Volkswagen Scirocco R '10
Volkswagen Passat R36 '08
...

And that without even thinking too much. I know they are mostly europeans, but our american mates would do another list like this mostly for american cars. The japanese cars are ok at least, I guess... With some ot them, I'm no that strict (I mean I wouldn't mind a "standard" Continental GT instead of Supersports version)... Don't even thought about Porsche or race cars.

I know we don't know all the cars yet, but I'd happily bet NONE of this cars is in GT5 (the only one I give a chance is the Abarth 500...).

Instead of them, we will see the SAME RUBBISH as in GT4: "Oh, let's see what Citroëns do we have... Mmm Xsara VTR... 108 bhp... C3, 110 bhp... Let's better try for Cadillac. Oh nice!!! A 760 bhp Cien prototype...! And nothing else...!".

I understand some things. But I don't understand how already having the 599, we don't have the 599 GTO, it must not be so hard to make the modification...

And most of all, I'm SO TIRED of waiting...

Sadly a BIG +1 to this :nervous:
I'm really disapointed those european hothatch and GTI (the heart of european sports cars) isn't in GT5 (or in rubbish version; ps: you forgot megane 2.0 16V :ouch:)...

American have muscle cars (being more represented in gran turismo series) Japanese have drift and powerfull GT's (over represented in gran turismo) and europeans have hothatch and GTI (really anecdotic in gran turismo)

Well, if this means anything, I was pleasantly surprised to see a '70s Mustang, and a late model C3 Stingray{'82, perhaps?} in the intro video..........the '82 model 'Vette was my favorite American car in GT2. :)

This? (4:57)

That`s a chrome bumper corvette with some kind of bodykit. Probably the 69 convertible we`ve seen before.

The other red arrow was for another thread, please ignore.

EDIT: look at the bottom of the screen in this video at 0:04

It says: "Cars of this make available for purchase at current level"

You have to level up somehow to unlock more cars. Maybe you`ll unlock more makes too? That would explain why Bugatti doesn`t have a dealership in that video.

Probably not, because it says available for purchase at current level: 4, but when the menu gets opened it shows 5 cars.

I think you see all them from the beginning, but there's no Bugatti dealership because you can't buy it, but earn it as a prize. I might be wrong, of course.

Well, Lets look back all the way to GT1, In "Arcade mode" You didn't get access to the Dodge dealer right away, right? You had to win races to unlock it. Same goes with the rest of the series! :)

Also: The blue 'vette might be something like an '82.

Is there any proof these cars dont exist. Im still trying to figure out if my Alfa Romeo Mito is in the game :nervous:
Id be really surprised if the Golf GTI isn't in

No that grille is from a chrome bumper corvette (68 - 72). I have a 1980 Corvette myself IRL and I know how they look and how to tell them apart. The video is to dark to identify excactly what year it is but it has (or had) a chrome front bumper. You can also tell them apart by looking at those small lights in the front grille.

My car (1980 corvette but the `82 is almost exactly similar)

1969 corvette:

Those front lips might be the front wing. GT4 had only rear wings but you could adjust the downforce on both ends. Maybe they are generic for all cars like the wings in GT4?

Absolutely agree about the European hatches. I've long been concerned that this game is going to look like it should be called GT4:HD. The first leaked vid with all the early-mid 2000s cars brought back my concerns.

No Abarth in the dealership (although could be under Fiat. They have the base model, so no Abarth would be shocking)

Alfa's centenary year - Mito & Giulietta QVs would be a huge omission

Current Golf and Polo GTis, MkV R32, new Scirocco??, even the Golf 1.4 TSi with its turbo-supercharging...

Megane RS250, Clio Cup???

Newest Focus RS

Come on, guys. You'll have to realize that it's all a matter of taste which cars you think are worthy, interesting, important or iconic enough to have in the game and which are not.

I'll take a 95hp Xsara before a CCX any day. Is that the right decision? No. Is it the wrong one? No. It's my opinion, based solely on my taste.

If you want to tell everyone which cars you think should have been in the game, go for the wishlist thread.

Even if they made a simple search in wiki they'd found this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_hatch

This car list is THE list (or part of) i wanted for GT5 ...for sure a great par of these cars are missing :ouch:

@A Name: matter of taste...lots of these cars where elected european sports car of the year, best sports car of the century...(ie megane R26, R26-R, peugeot 205 GTI, focus RS, megane 250...)

And i don't agree with the "all japan and supercar" taste :yuck:

Stop trying to turn every thread into a wishlist. We already have those.

Nope - it's a question of YEAR. With the exception of the exotica, GT5 risks feeling 5+ years out of date.

Out of the cars that I listed above, it's only really the four Italian ones that I would have included based on my own tastes.

The first leaked vid really caught my eye as it had an old MX5, Alfa 147 and old style Punto. It looked really dated. I actually saw one of the old style Puntos on the drive home last night - first time in ages that I had...

Fiat Coupe Turbo? Alfa GTv - Always fancied one new, or even early s/hand - but you're talking about cars that are deep in to "project" territory these days...

I think it's not a wish list, it's the show the huge number of major cars GT5 is missing
(yes we don't know all the cars... but actualy we know about 3/4 of the car list, did you see any post 2004 car except "japan or supercar")

the only hot hatches i know are in gt5 are the audi s3, subie sti, mini cooper s, and the civic si I hope vw is in there and

Those look like a Racing Modified Corvette C2 and Dodge Challenger

Looking forward to this game so much I will be however a little bit gutted if there are no Sierra Cosworths in the game.

Fingers crossed!!!

this is a long shot does anybody knwoif there is a turbo forester in the game ( loved playing that in GT2)

There has never been any in a GT game.

Seriously...too many people crying about "this car isn't in" or "I won't buy it unless this car is in" and I all I've got to say is...Really?

1000 cars and just because [put car name here] isn't in you're going to be sad or not buy the game? Really?

I think Sony spent 6 years making this game and there's so much content, you should just buy the game and quit complaining. Heck, Kaz mentioned it took 2000 days to come up with the ideas for GT5...That's about 5 and half YEARS...just for the ideas. So, just be happy with what you get, please.

I agree with you, they made a really great job, the amount of cars is huge...
but some choice are criticable
I mean it's a game about sports cars so < 20mph cars are just... and non sports model when there sport version exist, it's just...👎
