what did you want me to change? my avatar? betty is cool man.

now the FIRST letter is the series of engines it comes from. a,b,c,d,e,f,h,k. the two numbers after is the size of the engine. the third letter and the number after is what model of that engine it is. like the b16a1. its a b series engine, a 1.6l and its from the 1st generation civic/crx. if it was a b16a2 it would be from the newer model civics like the eg and del sol. the b16b is from the civic type r.

now as to info on the eg, all i can tell you is its a slight progression from the ef and most people like it because its a bit more round then the ef. it uses the same style suspension and lots of parts are the same technicly. i still love the ef though. its classic you! i roll o.g style y0!

now about hondas sucking, only the forced induction ones do. suck squish bang blow... supercharged.

now as to vtec being over rated, sure it is by rice boys that dont understand it. BUT its great from a street car performance stand point. why just alter ignition timing when you can change to a cam with more lift thus letting the engine breat much much better? imo people that say vtec is just average have never been in a car with vtec.

so dude you getting an ew civic hatch? or what? 400,000 what is that yen? in my version of the game it costs 4,161.

YEAH BABY !!! EF RUULEZ !!!! :D

I'll prefer turbocharger against supercharger, no matter if its more complicated or has less power than a s/c can had, I like turbo spool sound :D

Well, I drove the Integra of my friend and I didnt really know what was VTEC back in the time, but now as I listen to VTEC engines high-revving, I do know when it kicks in just by sound (maybe I'm wrong but I do hear a little something when you are high-revving a VTEC). I dunno what it principally does when you drive it tho, I mean if you feel it kick in or something. Anyway, I'm not an expert like you pSI Civic but I'll sure learn alot more when I'll have my own VTEC :)

turbos have more top end i only said s/c because they suck. turbos blow to put it simply.

when vtec kicks in it does sound different and you can feel it like a kick in the gut. idealy in a well tuned engine it would be linear rather then a lump of power around 5000rpm but its fun the way it is.

now really all it does it switch the amount the vavles open and how long they stay open letting in more air and fuel thus making more power.

now i'm no expert on anything i just know a few things.

just because one knows a wide array of facts simply makes them reliable. an expert would be akin to a professional and my skills are not anywhere near the level i would be comfotable saying i am a pro.

i just know what i like and fully believe one must know a lot on a subject to fully like or dislike it.

now all this doesnt mean i dont like your compliment. :sly:

well you're just a honda whore !!!!!!!! lol

i dunno how much to ask for... I dont even know how much km it has because its a swap so... It says 320,000 km or close of this tho... But its 320,000 km for the entire body and frame... lol

I probably gonna reset the odometer when the car will be redone from a to z. But that could be in a long time... Its aload of money to work the frame and rework the entire body...

a used dohc zc long block with about 60,000 miles runs about $550 in the us. the full swap costs around $950 for the tranny and ecu. you could probably get $300 for those 3 well used.

as I was expected.. I was chilling aroung 300-500$. Well I got the engine the tranny and the ecu. I'm getting all of this out of the car including the mods on it: AEM CAI, DC Sports headers, 2½ exhaust line and Ractive exhaust system. When I'll have the b18c1 of course.

there are more of his car on the sedan site.

i know, thats where i got it :)

EDIT: i think i'm gonna create the hatchback division of your site... EF Civic Hatch Cental... ;) just kidding...

thats pretty much every site that has anything to do with the ef civic. its all ef hatchs and crxs out there. i've tried to build into the only source for the sedan.

your hatch is still welcome though.

Overrated by many teenage drivers? Yes.

VTEC = (Variable) Valve Timing Electronic Control = Variable valve timing

Variable valve timing = VANOS (BMW) = VVL (Nissan) = VVT(L)-i (Toyota) = Variocam (Porsche) = MIVEC (Mitsubishi) = etc.

Some systems feature lift, some don't, and VTEC features lift, if I recall correctly. However, claiming that VTEC is completely different from an ordinary variable valve timing system is like claiming that an LSD-equipped car is completely different from a car without LSD. It's still the same car, and it still puts power to the same wheels.

VTEC is just a typical variable valve timing system.

Thus, VTEC is just an ordinary variable valve timing system that is horribly overrated by teenage Honda drivers. I don't see how you're offended by this.

+1 👍
ill take a Nissan VVT, specifically from the s14-s15s :dopey:.

BTW my bro got a civic, as a DD, try to guess what he got a 165,000 miles civic ex '96 for? :scared:
