Cockpit Shaky Camera

I love it. I can't believe there are people who don't like it. In real life you FEEL the shaking but in a game you have show it visually.

No, you don´t. It hurts in the eyes and creates headache. If you can´t see it in real life, you don´t need to see it in a video game.

And of course, in real life you feel uneven surface and bumps.....but I tell you, that´s why GT5 is a video game and not reality;)

That´s why it is hard to compare a video game with reality and only thing, which would make it more realistic is sth like this:

One of the best updates yet.

Edit : Why do you need 3 TV's XD.

Instead of paying one million for that thing, you could buy a 3D TV. I dont have it though.

It´s not for me and I would never buy such a crap. But for fanatics and realism fetishists, it is the only way to get realism at it´s best. And not with faked camera shaking.

i never noticed it to be honest maybe becuase its the way its sopose to feal i have drivin some time attacks and if dint notice the deffircne is beacuse thats the way it looks when you race just seams to me poeple dont like it cus they cant addapt to it but that dosent mean its not realistic

You see, when a cockpit camera is very good, when you lap times are nearly the same like in hood cam for example, because you have the same control over the car.

My cockpit cam-times are three seconds slower than hood cam-times. so it can´t be a realistic cockpit view..

It seems more realistic. But, when I run a NASCAR race now, I use roof cam or else I'll get a headache. If that's how it really is, hats off to the real life drivers.

We have peripheral vision. In the tv you dont have that, so its more looking through a tv through a tv.

I think they should blur the cockpit a bit. Atleast when there is a car in front or a turn comming up.

The thing is, GT5 doesn'r support that machine. Any console game for that matter... So...

Too bad we don't have a SIMPLE option...

I'm with the ones who like a LIVE cockpit (have you tried pCARS? with the internal parts moving, the shakes and vibration really add to the immersion, and make you more aware that you drive a beast on the edge.

So why not a simple option for us to enjoy GT5 both way?

lol I tried explaining this to some kids but i guess it is to hard for them, still kids in real life brain compensate for the movement so you dont see the "screen' shakes
now in a game it feels like you are a camera and not a man

pathetic

Stop trolling, seriously.

Flawed logic. The roof cam/T cam/hood cam (whatever you want to call it) rovides superior views of apexes and approaching corners. It's much, much easier to nail a "perfect" lap with this advantage. It's more realistic BECAUSE the view is compromised with dash, a-pillar and hood obstructions.

If you raced using the rear view camera and your lap times were junk, would you consider that unrealistic?

Since I went from v1.00 to v2.05 I noticed how they almost completely eliminated the shakiness of cockpit cam.I can't really notice it now to be honest.

What I hate is the fact that I missed the "dynamic" chase cam. I saw it in vids and loved it. Unfortunately I never got to experience it.

Exactly. It's the bumper/hood/T cams that are unrealistic. There is no car anywhere with a seat in any of those positions.

Thats an interesting logic, because it has more do to with your ability at driving in certain views, rather than the view itself being the source of reduced lap times, I'm actually worse in Bumper cam, because it moves so much that i over-adjust everything brakes gas steering, i like Cockpit even in Standards because it has good movement, but its more fluid than Bumper.

YEs the bumper and hood are less obstructed, but confidence in racing comes from knowing whats coming up next, and if you know, then no obstruction will hinder your driving because you know even with a screen full of mud that the 3rd turn at Tsukuba is a 55kph left handed hairpin with a late apex.

I cant stand hood cam, the noise, the angle. Yeeesh.

Agreed. The further back the camera seems to be, the more difficult it gets for me.
But I love turning Display off with cockpit camera and not getting distracted with split times and drivers list. It's a lot more innmersing for me
