With the improved physics and the new graphic engine, it's going to be a much more different and improved driving experience than what it was in GT4 and I know I'm gaining more than just a higher resolution gameplay. Even if you remove the driving experience out of the equation, there's still the huge improvement in the car animation- improved body roll, suspension behaviour and of course, damage. And when it comes to the driving physics- I'd love to see how well I could handle a 69 Camaro through the Nordschleife. GT4 didn't quite do it for me.
And yes, I'm a car nut and even the standard cars seem to get all excited.

I think all those cars look beautiful!
I think people are mostly afraid because of that one Le Mans Audi R8 picture. That one isn't the prettiest of the bunch, but it's not horrid.
