Compressing video clip

I noticed alot of clips are tiny .wmv how compress to .wmv... with my capture card my only output video format is .avi sooo... does anyone know of a good .avi to .wmv converter or something to make my files smaller?

Try to capture using Movie maker 2 - edit it with this software aswell... you will end up with wmv as default.
