Oh how I wish I had practised maybe 30 minutes more ahead of the race. Got really consistently good after half the race and could have battled with the leaders if I had that from the beginning. :)

Nice race from everyone and a really nice fight with futuref1 in the end (maybe a tiny bit dirty sometimes but that happens in the heat of the battle :p )
Sorry about cutting you off at some places there. That was one of the best battles I had ever had and I didn't want to lose. No hard feelings?

No worries, it was a great battle and probably the most fun I had all race. More annoyed at my crash in the end when I finally passed. :p

How does everyone feel about the change in car specs?

They seem great, I couldn't help but laugh during the second stint where you and I set identical (down to the thousandth) times at an identical point through the stint so yeah they seem pretty balanced =)

On this point, are you still hosting tomorrow jonny? I just hope I will be able to connect as we haven't been able to connect to eachother all weekend (might be same issue as the rest though). Is there a back up host just in case?

I was a victim of not following my own advice (have just moved house so had completely failed to properly set-up my router), so hopefully things will be better. If push comes to shove then memto can host/drive and I can livestream

Im sorry mate but that is total bollocks. Drivers not seeing eachother is down to individual conections nothing to do with the host at all.

Forgive me, my friend, but you do not know what you're saying. Unfortunately my bad English language does not allow me to explain what the problem is. However, if you met a situation that the room with a fixed host people could not see each other, you are unique in the world.
I propose to end this discussion and thank you for your understanding for my knowledge of the language. I was trying to share my knowledge and experience, but you will do as you wish. See you on the track and I wish we all always see each other.

Is it not p2p connection whatever room setting u have? Gran turismo totally depends on individual peoples connections to each other only way around this is dedicated servers i.e battlefield which are very expencive which is why on battlefield you have to pay for a server.... Gt6 u dont. Cheap peer to peer is what gt6 is. But please if im wrong somebody correct me.

I hope nothing has changed. I wish you a speedy recovery bro :)

Nono, nothing serious, it's just a cold but I said I couldn't come today unless I was sick because I had other plans. But I am strictly prohibited to come unless I can guarantee I won't pass my cold on to others so I had to cancel. Still, it feels a bit better when it means I will be able to race :D

Good luck tonight bro! ;)

Did it? I wasn't online for the entire race because my computer crashed! Yay technology!

(And PD servers)

The race was good, 2nd - 4th were about 5 seconds apart and I managed not to try and chase Mikey's filthy fastest lap stealing MX5's time and actually take the victory

Awesome job! So I guess that means I was the only person not to beat M4R this weekend... Oh well. Congrats on the win!

Hey guys, I have a weird question. I there any real audience in CORE? Are there people that could potentially say "Hey I'd like for you to race for my team in real life." I know it sounds a bit stupid, but haven't we all thought about having a career in racing. I'd still like to make that a reality. Will racing in CORE get me, or any of us anywhere in real racing?

It's extremely highly unlikely for that to happen. But not impossible, I guess:lol:. What your saying sounds more like GT Academy.

Like some kind of talent scouts watching our races? Sounds highly unlikely since we have pretty low view rates on the videos. But it would definitely be cool if there where guys sweeping the web for young drivers. ^^

There is no simple answer to this, but, as Stiggy said it is not impossible. IF the right people were looking to online racing to find drivers (outside of GT Academy of course), then they have a high chance of finding the CORE races, but with so many already established race car drivers out there in the real world fighting to drive a car in the next season, I think it is unlikely that they would be looking.
What it will do for you though, is make you push yourself harder to find extra pace that you can then take into GT Academy and use to your advantage to give yourself a better chance of getting to the top of the time sheets.
Other advantages is, IF you were to get through GTA' you can get youself some practice talking to the CORE media, that will give you some advantage over your other competitors who may not have had media practice, then lets say you win and get the drive in the races, you can then draw on the 24 hour race experience here to help you understand what to expect. 👍

I can say for sure that people in the Motorsport industry do watch the races and have expressed interest in core, unfortunately it's not the right people to make contracts happen but these people do know the people... We are trying to improve the coverage so that there is more exposure to the wider world so you never know

Well, who knows? Maybe if video gaming becomes a spectator sport, we might get quite a lot of fans of CORE and the teams! We just need to promote CORE and GT6 as a whole correctly though...

Not a lot of talk here this week.. I almost forgot we're doing it this weekend ^^

Any results from the last time? (not that we're in the running for anything :P )
