After a slight shift around of the calendar of other events, there's now the potential to make the final round at the Nurburgring into a double event. The format I'm thinking is the first race goes ahead as planned but then after we could have a reverse grid race (with or without championship points being issues). If this is something you as drivers would be interested in please let me know.

Reverse grid as in by class or overall (GT300 in front )
My suggestion is, instead of doing two 1 and a half races at Nurburgring, why not one 3-hour event for double points?

  • I would like all races issuing championship points.
  • 1st race held using the standard race format
  • Predicted 2nd race using a reversed grid by using the championship points table.
  • Perhaps 2nd race double points?

^Alright Bernie =p That would certainly stir things up a little, I've put a pole up on the top of the thread with a variety of formats, if you could all vote for your preference then we'll go off of that.

Well the final round races are set to kick off at 10am GMT on Saturday the 28th so if it were double length it would finish about 13:30 with qualifying included.

Lap 31 - TNR_5zigen - Pit-in Line
Verdict: +30s

Lap 33 - jonnyb1990 - TNR_5zigen - Avoidable contact
Verdict: jonnyb1990 +90s - While it seemed to be fairly light contact, both cars recieve damage. I can only apologise Zigen, it was a minor misjudgement on my part that ruined an otherwise good battle.

Lap 35 - TNR_5zigen - Pit-in Line
Verdict: +30s

Lap 36 - Glen-Alz-81 - Pit-in Line
Verdict: +30s

Lap 44 - TNR_REBLLION - TNR_FILO - Avoidable conctact
Verdict: Warning TNR_REBELLION - It's unclear if Rebellion can see Filo's car or not, but he seemingly drives straight into the back quarter of the other car, causing Filo to half spin. No damage is incurred to Filo so no time penalty is given.

Lap 44 - TNR_FILO - Pit-in Line
Verdict: +30s - FILO tries to stay out of Rebellion's way but a) there was plenty of time for FILO to move over to the RHS of the circuit, achieving the same end and b) having gone left, Filo could have slowed to give himself time to cross back before the pit line began.

While no penalties were given, many drivers are taking liberties with the track limits; as per the rules cars must coast to rejoin the circuit if they run off track onto tarmac. If this continues severe penalties may be implemented.

Wow... 4 Hours before a race and only 6 drivers have signed up... This could be the smallest race of the season...
