While were waiting for the Corvette C7 Stingray, what colours is everyone going to be painting their C7s? If I get minds in red, I'm leaving it red. How about you guys? :)

Damn I really don't like taillights. They are Camaro SS style to me. What the hell they are doing in C7? Even original Stingray has round taillights. Just ugly :(

im going to buy 3 of them. one i want to paint sassy grass green from the cuda. i dont know about the other two yet.

I'm going to have a bunch. But I will have a black one to hide the tear drop tail light housings, and to hide the giant piece of black plastic underneath them.

I'll probably have one in default color, then another in Blue(because thats favorite color on the 1963 Sting Ray). If there is any chance that it has a race modification (which likely would be based on the C7.R we've yet to see), then I'll have a velocity Yellow one and a Silver one.

Ok if PD decide to not release it imagine the uproar.

Edit: Would it be good to put this on the news section about the revealing or wait to see if its released for GT5?

I think that the actual front mixed with the last Vette back was a better and nice idea than this one. I like the front, but The back... Mmmm not The best.

I'll paint it green, similar to C4 ZR1 green :D

Daytona Yellow

Nice colour choices guys. :D

Buy a heap and paint them all the different colors of the rainbow might be my approach  I'll probably have a White one and a Matte Black one. One stock, one tuned.

For some reason, I have a hunch this will not be a car you can Race Mod. God that would be awesome though.

Lol at the rainbow part. Good choice for both your stock and tuned versions. :)

Agreed. O_O

I'm curious about the gearbox of the car. Now that they released it, pictures show a 7-speed manual gearbox whereas the car we have in-game right now is a 6-speed (and a craptastic one at that).

I hope PD would update the car model, but I don't think this is new info for them...

...and I think I'll paint my Corvette silver. Or metallic red.

Could there be a possibility that the prototype only had a 6-speed gearbox?

Yea. it is over. The video replayed from the beginning and gave me a 10 minute countdown.

As far as the track ready Vettes, I was referring to more beefed up Vettes that Chevy will eventually shuffle out over the years.

Right now, I'm thinking about Z06 and ZR1 THIS SECOND! Imagine the ZR1, a LS9 6.7 or 7.0L supercharged V8 pushing around 690-750hp to the rear wheels and a 0-60 at 2.9 to early three seconds, quicker than the C6's 0-60 time.

And I'm predicting a Ring time of 7:17 or 7:16 minutes. Watch out Viper, GTR, R8, 911 GT3 and GT2, Supra and NSX. Somebody is pushing it! :mischievous:👍

I'm with you about the Stangs. But the Vette is my choice over the GT500 and Viper for the US rep. of world sport car contenders.

Yep, If the Skyline GTR/GTR is the Japanese legend and the 911/GT3/GT2 are the European legends, then the Vette should be the American legend.

Why, because the Corvette means everything to the American car enthusiasts and its history is longer, WAY longer that the GT40/GT, Camaro, Firebird, Mustang/GT350/500, Cobra and Viper. He was the pioneer that pushed some of the best American sports cars and muscle monsters in the day. Who would of thought that a inline 6 C1 of '53 would be a legend with big and powerful V8s, fighting many rivals, domestic and imported of the best car in the world. ;)

And this is coming from a Mopar guy, even though I love GM cars, especially the Corvette.

Gonna get some trance music ready to be played for when I get this baby (C7). :D

Electro all the way! :D

I'll paint it green, similar to C4 ZR1 green :D

I'm painting mine Jetstream Blue. The ZR1 shall live on. ;)👍

I'll probably get a few, especially for some tests and a theory on the power of the Z06 and ZR1 and tune. I got a BRZ STi concept going on and I will add these two to my "labs". ;)

So this basically confirms the authenticity of the Bloomberg article.

Its been debated that the Prototype might have its performance stats altered to keep its true performance hidden. Maybe the 6 speed is part of that.

Like the new look of C7, reminds me a bit of some Ferrari but dont know wich one. No wonder that the Corvette is also called the american ferrari.

Alex I feel the same. It's got a weird f12 look to it and I thought at some angles, the general shape of the LFA comes to mind!

I don't see all the fuss about the rear. It is similar to the ZL1 but different in its own way. The ZL1 is a mean and good looking car from the back and as for the big black plastic parts.... It's a corvette. What did you expect?

I would happily leave mine red or go atomic tintcoat orange from the Z06. Think it will look gorgeous. Or maybe push the boat out an go Monterrey blue!

But the Corvette always had its round taillights which were kind of as important feature-wise as the big engines. Losing them now, especially to such weirdly shaped squares with the black stuff surrounding them, is a shame, and in my opinion destroys the design of the rear while the rest of the car looks pretty good I think.

Agreed! Especially when those taillights do not have any function other than design. I mean I understand McLaren P1 design - all for aerodynamics. With C7 I don't know - it's not most beautiful taillights.

But then again BMW for example had 4 round headlights as a key design feature for decades, yet nobody asks for them to return for a BMW to be a proper BMW.
Ferrari's mostly had 2 round taillights for years, then they switched to 4 round ones, briefly 6 in the seventies, 2 square ones on the eighties Testarossa, then 4 round ones again for a while but now they've gone back to 2.
Fashion goes round in circles, which means it currently are squares. ;)

And remember, Corvette's didn't always have 4 round taillights either.
