Countdown to GT5

I just picked up the PS3 Move bundle at Bestbuy for $349 and a copy of GT5 Prologue to tide me over until the 24th!
 
Just got my email from Amazon telling me the estimated arrival date has been changed to November 24th.

I really hope they're good about that sort of stuff. This is the first time I've used Amazon to get a game on the day it is released. If it doesn't get there on the 24th, I'll probably have to wait to Monday.

Me too. I think I'll have to post some laps in the F10 on Suzuka in F1 2010 and compare the times when I drive it in GT5. I have a feeling the F1 2010 times will be lower because I don't think the physics in GT5 will be as forgiving.

Amazon will do it if it is humanly possible, their customer service is about as good as it gets. They've already refunded my release-day shipping fee because of the delay and I pre-ordered Toy Story III under the same deal and it arrived exactly when it was supposed to on the day of release (meaning they shipped it the day before).

FWIW I also just got the email about updated shipping on my GT5 CE order. Ten days and counting (after waiting nearly six years since my first pre-order that's not so long).

Happy New Years:cheers::cheers::dunce::dunce:. Gamestop employee quality is stretched across both ends of the spectrum. The quality of them is really a reflection of the manager.

I thought they were supposed to hire "knowledgeable" employees. The guys at my Gamestops pretty much know where things are and if they can't find it, they look it up on their computers. That guy is just an idiot and is lucky to have a job there.

Same in my case (ironically in their home state). They are usually very knowleagable about their stuff.

Yeah, I went in today to finish paying off my pre-order and the guy was like "11 more days!" which means that store is a lot more up to date then some apparently. :lol:

If you find an image on the internet, just use the INSERT IMAGE option when you're posting. If you need to first upload a file of your own, use a website like tinypic.com. Once the file's uploaded, you'll be given a link that you can then use in the 1st step I mentioned.

I think that's the 3rd or 4th time the SRT10's been posted (I was first ftw). It's so sweet looking though so it never gets old :)

It's 11 days for Australia... but the first official release is on the 23rd in 10 days so I'll just go with that for this thread. So it doesn't get like last time all muddled up etc.. :)
