Its "just" the relativity of time (in my opinion)- if you want to have a water boiled in the kettle and you leave kitchen right after turning on the fire under your kettle to lets say read some posts on GTP you will have your water boiled in no time but if you stay in the kitchen and stare at the kettle it will take "forever" till water gets boiled. You guys were probably distracted by something different in october (like studies etc)
