No idea but it might be a safer bet to buy in store. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, you might get screwed till Friday or so. I know post office won't deliver on Thursday, and probably not even UPS or Fedex.

Well I pre-ordered the Collectors from Amazon, and the regular from Gamestop so im covered eitherway i guess. lol.
 
Hey SuperShouden ... there was a news item on the official GT website saying 23rd for North America. The story has since been removed. Are we going with the 24th then?
 
I linked that news article earlier too, good spotting on it's removal. I'm curious about this. Either way, I don't think I can pick up the game until the 24th anyway.

Yes. That is what is reported on the Playstation Blog.

So, that's what we're using.

It DOES look and sound like the 24th is the INTERNATIONAL release date as hinted at by amar with his winds.

I suspect that was one of the reasons why they waited so long to give a release date. Once everything had been shipped to retailers/warehouses, then they could coordinate a global release date...which...by the way, would be the first EVER global release date for a racing game anyway, if not for ANY game.
 
So has anyone become a hearty erection yet?

The optimist in me expected it to be out between November 30 and December 7. I was bracing for mid/late December.

Thanksgiving week, I can do this. I won't be able to do anything with the game til mid-December, but I'm very happy to know it'll be at my apartment before going home for the holidays. My birthday's in late December too, so the delay didn't ruin it. The past month was a crappy, crappy slog that I'll never forgive Sony for, but at least GT5's coming on a reasonable date.

Happy days are here again!

I just realized that the 24th is a good day. It should alleviate traffic around the stores as most people will be headed to Thanksgiving that day. So, it looks like there will be a single day where EVERYONE is playing and as that day progresses and changes into the 25th, numbers will drop dramatically.
 
24th is cool with me, although I was keen on the 23rd because I won't get to play much over that weekend because of all the turkeys and the other things I'm supposed to be grateful for ... grrrr :D damn you family and friends ... haha.

So I take back my image for the 10th.
 
are those screenshots from the game or real life? I actually can't tell.

I'm guessing real life, since I don't think that car is in the game.
 
Hey, I just realized we skipped almost and entire week in the countdown. It left off at 18 and started back up at 12. :) Not too bad for a 3 week delay.
 
I'm so glad it's a worlwide release. I would have been gutted knowing people are already progressing in game while we wait, but I think I can live with the fact only one or three people are playing it in europe!
