I think its good they recently said the release date. Made the wait bit shorter. If they announce the release date before Nov 2nd, it would make the wait so much longer.

The Valcanoes and Tsunamis do add to the cost because no matter where you buy a house there, you've got to buy either volcano insurance or tsunami insurance or both.

Also, not everything is imported. They grow their own coffee, sugar, pineapples and other foods. The REAL reason is because Hawaii is a tourist destination, and a lot of the money the state makes comes from tourists.
