Hiya. Just wanting to post up a feeler thread on the current interest in tuning garages as it seems none of us are getting any talk going on in our garages. Perhaps you can tell us what we can do to get some reviews happening?

Speaking for myself I am very interested since I lack the knowledge to do it myself. It's just that I have been so content with the DC tunes for the Integra at Fuji and Clios at Suzuka that I simply haven't felt the need for anyting else.

I for one appreciate the work you and the other tuning shops are doing very much and if you could make a VW GTI tune for Fuji I would use it and tell you exacty what I feel about it.

I think there are more than enough excellent tunes for the current events, so I hardly think people are really looking for something different, unless ofcourse somebody would create a 'insert car model here' event in one of the online events.

As for myself, I'm reconstructing my bathroom at the moment and in the middle of starting a new business venture, so I simply have no time to play GT5P at the moment.

I am sure that most people at least start with a Tuning Garage's setup, certainly the case for me.
From your point of view, it would be good to receive a review from a broad spectrum of drivers - say one from each division. I'm sure that some tunes are more suitable for the aliens, and some are more beginner-friendly.
Maybe you could recruit a test driver from each division?

I think Cohiba is right, people picked their favorites already and stick with them.

Depends what how you define 'review'. I usually just ask for feedback, which can be a single line, like 'I like it because the gears are excellent' (or something similar) or 'I hate it because the gears suck' (or something similar). I usually get enough feedback from GTP_hyperuk to tune the car right. If I need additional, more extensive feedback than mentioned above I usually just PM certain people on my friends list and ask them to take it for a spin.

That's not necessary. If they're inexperienced then it's possible the tune suits them even less, and they should give us feedback so we can do them a more personalised version for their eyes only. Unless of course, we find we can make the tune better for everyone. I remember getting feedback on my Z06/Tuned a while back helped me make it that much better.

I think something different is needed, Or at least give people more options for the 550 RWD so everyone isn't in either a nsx-r or a clio (its pretty boring racing when its just a 2 or mostly 1 car (clio) field). Id like to see something unusual for the 550 RWD definitely, there is plenty cars out there that even with my limited knowledge of tuning I have managed to get within 1 second of the clio and nsx, so im sure someone else will be able to make them competitive. Just throwing a few ideas out here but id like to see some or at least one of these, 350Z, 370GT, M3, Tamora, Mustang. There is plenty cars to have a go at .

New member here, will provide feedback on any tune I try. Reams of feedback available, I ramble.
May not 'need' a new tune until after the update.

I couldn't vote for any of the above points, some came close to what i usually do.
I sometimes try tunes from several garages, mainly to see what suits my style of driving, not found a tuner who as made a set up which i have not had to change, even Lars' Renault Clio V6 24v which is near to perfection for nearly all people and dominates the Suzuka 550 PP RW Online event, i unfortunately don't fall into nearly all catagory. So i tend to try do my own and if I'm lucky a tuner as done the same car so i can compare and see if settings by the tuner can improve mine.
As for feedback like DukeofPendle says, it can be quite intimidating for someone who may not even know the basics to give a review, after all most garages have test drivers who are far superior to us in racing and in helping development of a tune.
I do like the fact there are several garages here at GTPlanet and each as there own style and each supplies a varied mixture of cars/set ups, I will continue to peek into these garages but feedback is limited to, "i can do this time round this course"

That's exactly me, I sure can tell that a car with a good tune is much better than a standard car, so I always try to use a tune, but that's pretty much all.
Usually I can't tell differences between different tunes (exept gears), or what's good or not good about it, what's missing or whatever. I can't tell you if a tune is good or not, I just know a tune is better than standard, that's all.
I usually just take a tune and stick with it, don't even think about it if it's good or not, it's just how it is then.

So I have to admit, usally i don't write comments, but I highly appreciate your work.
I did write comments when a car with a tune really suprised me, like the Mustang, but that's rare.

I just think I can't give you any helpful feedback at all, but I do thank you now for every tune you do and will do, it is appreciated.

I don't agree with that, I have already tunes for the common cars like NSX, Integra or whatever, the reason I come here is to see if there are new tunes for other cars like Jaguar, Aston Martin, 370, etc etc.
I think it gets boring if every garage releases tunes for the the same cars for the same events, cause as I mentioned above, I can't tell the difference anyway, I only use one tune.

That's just how I look at it, but I can imagine that others "not so advanced" drivers think the same.
