So this racer calls me a dirty driver. In this situation, he turned right into me. This happened in a previous race and the same spot. I managed to save it this time. What do y’all think? I also post the whole video to shiw my view, his view and his “revenge”

Technically you did not have overlap before the turn in point
Jvnd.jpg

Therefore you did not have a right to the apex.

However he went wide, applied more brakes, left the door open, and turned in on you. He should have defended by taking an early instead of late apex. Perhaps he got spooked by you getting close, but by avoiding you he should have stuck to avoiding you, not take the apex after giving it away.

Next week's races are up:
A) N300 (Provided) - Dragon Trail Gardens - 4 laps - Sports Medium
B) Gr.3 - Maggiore II - 4 laps - Racing Hard
C) Gr.X (One make) - Suzuka - 12 laps - Racing Medium - x4 fuel, x15 tyre wear - Grid Start w. False Start Check

A could be either the new Lamborghini or Ferrari seen at the Paris event given they raced at Gardens there
C is presumably the SF19

Suzuka again but whatever, it's the new F cars so I can live with it so hopefully it'll be great. Gardens should also be fun.

I'm really going to have to put my head down and practice Maggiore. I've been avoiding it every time it's GR3/4 because I'm horrendously bad and off pace on it (usually started bottom 5 and off the leader by 3 - 4 seconds). I've only been capable of driving the Fiat 500 around it.

Overall I'm looking forward to these.

Is Suzuka a weekly thing now.... DT gardens not my favorite, neither Maggiore. Perhaps the car will make Suzuka fun for a couple races. I have 404 races completed on Suzuka, it's time for Error not found, enough of that track.

I just got disconnected again, perhaps it's time for another break. After N24 is done of course.

I have to admit Suzuka is one of my favorite tracks, but enough is enough...

I don’t think he saw me there to be honest. I watched other videos with him in it and his awareness is off. He had hit me before but not so much to ruin my race.

When I saw him lose it there I took the chance as anyone would. People usually lose it big when they don’t get that area right. I expected him to stay wide.

Yep it's a perfectly valid overtake when he changed course. You had scrubbed enough speed to avoid him if he took the early apex, nothing wrong with your actions. Great driving on your part, he's driving like the AI there.

What's the fastest race time anyone have seen in Race C?

I just finished second to a Porsche that did a 16:37.354
I don't remember the exact finishing time, but I saw TRL_AUGH post an 8:18 first lap. I assume the second lap is faster than that, so his finishing time was definitely under 16:36. I think it was somewhere between 16:25 and 16:30. That was in the AMG.

That's smokin' with fuel savings

Not sure how to do that and get to the end. Whoever did that must do really well at conserving momentum...
He led the race from start to finish, so no draft either. His Q time was 8:06.

The guy in my race did 8:20.6 and 8:16.6.

I'll try the 911 and AMG GT3 and see if I can find any of the 6-7 seconds I'm losing per lap in the SLS. I don't think I will though, these guys are a different breed.

I can’t believe I just blew this in the final corner, the lap I was chasing on the ticker didn’t have a great final corner either, so it was entirely possible to gain a little more coming onto the home stretch and stretch it to .4 if I had nailed the last corner. Effin Grrr!!

Edit: Well, she wasn’t pretty at times and there’s still more left to cash in, but I got it done. 46.7 with an Optimal of 46.5, It’s been a good day. :)

Came first in Race A today.

There were a few bumps and penalties (lower rank, I don’t play that often, not a dirty racer though) but overall it’s quite an enjoyable race. Just need to play more often to get myself out of this demo derby hell.

@Sven Jurgens, do you really think my difficulty with gettings wins/poles in general is due to the low playercount? It feels like the matchmaking algorithm should be able to make things fair somewhat indepentently of that factor. (Side note: would more or less players help my situation here?) I don’t think I’ve ever played a game where my win ratio was this low. I’m not asking to be given wins/poles for nothing, but I think a stronger bias towards matching DR over SR would be better. Especially since I would imagine that you can only have such a high DR when you drive badly enough insofar of having a low SR. And that it feels weird to be often matched with DR A or S players when my DR is B, with a score of around 21k.

I’d like @Alpha Cipher‘s opinion on this, too.

Yes! I knew they'd put the Super Formulas in the next update, but of course it would be Suzuka...AGAIN. I knew it was going to be either that or Fuji for this race, so I'm glad it's at least the track that wasn't designed by a sadist.

@MIE1992 Since you SR is pretty much constantly at 99, more players in the 90-99 range can provide better matching on DR.

21K DR used to be low enough to drop down a tier at SR.99. Nowadays there aren't enough players in the 90-99 range to make 2 rooms, or at most some D/S players will be sorted into the next room.

Matching on DR first has a whole range of other problems. There are different rules for different SR tiers, you want to avoid that as much as possible.

You can try racing at different times. Sometimes you get lucky in prime time, some times the fast people don't show up at quiet times. Matchmaking is a bit like playing slot machines. There's no intelligence or fairness behind it, it's just the luck of the draw, or rather who else shows up.

As for win ratio, only one can win each race. With 12 to 20 opponents, even if the game would give you fair chances all the time, you can't expect anything better than 3.8% win ratio.

I went back to Green Hell despite my poor finishes before and came away with two 7th place finishes in the Corvette (thanks to those who mentioned it.) It's a nice car to short shift in since it doesn't lose much acceleration and speed when doing so.

I'm still hazy in places (braking when I shouldn't, downshifting too early etc.) and I'm definitely not racing optimally at all but it's a small victory.

I should heed my "when in doubt, use the Yank Tanks" more often.

Bro. What are the odds of this happening twice, with both times being .002 seconds apart?:lol::lol:

Not sure what happened on that other post.....

Credit where it's due my friend. Well put together and helpful vids.

Haha thank you. Makes me really happy to know that people are finding the guides useful. :D Have I added you on PSN yet?

Those Meta‘s are ‚easy‘ to drive and thus used by more players and so will mostly take the win. But I guess a skilled driver could win with any car.

I personally avoid running with one of these cars driven by everybody else even if I won‘t win. But IMHO it‘s a GT-4 race and not „TT International Cup“ or „Huracan Trophy“

For the other replies regarding N24: it‘s just not a track for the occassional race. It requires cooperative drivers which most of the GTS entrants to the Sports Mode races aren‘t. Nobody backs up when common sense says he or she should and everybody tries to pass at any cost. If you watch a real race there you will rarely see a forced or fought pass because both drivers know „If we make contact chances are great that one or both of us end up partly in the trees“.

Yup ... I reckon its time for damage ... if both cars get damage, then pretty soon drivers should wake up.

Tonight, I had entered this week's daily race B for the second and last time. I had started and finished 12th. Now I realized I could no longer return to this race because I did not want another similar result. It took place prior to FIA races I had entered. Now I'm considering reversing my decision regarding this week race C and enter that so I could improve my driver's rating.

It's chaos again on N24
I'm trying out the Corvette yet haven't been able to get a lap yet without getting punted or rammed. A/S rooms are soo dirty. It's that time of night.

Ok, I almost rage quit, instead letting auto drive finish the race so I can report the idiots. This is not fun anymore. I'm going to make a livery instead. What a disgrace.

In BS it is at least as dirty. I always get rammed off the track in the bends after entering the Nordschleife. Everybody wants to overtake a few cars there before it goes into the fast part. Maybe some have problems to switch from the wide GP course to the narrow Norschleife. But in general, many are very dirty and over-motivated. More than half of the drivers have no qualifying time. I guess many of them do not know the track well at all. It takes some time to know the long Nordschleife. They try to compensate for this lack with extreme aggressiveness. For such a thing the Nordschleife is however the wrong place. The consequence of this are many mistakes and dirty maneuvers. But in a sense, the Nordschleife favors that too. Due to the usually nearby walls and crash barriers, these drivers lose little time on excursions next to the track. Thus, an aggressive behavior for them then appears advantageous again. Vehicle damage would probably work wonders here. At the latest after the 5 destroyed race, these drivers would either rethink or avoid the race.
