This is why racing in lower SR works better with this penalty system.

The A/S crowd has figure out how to get away with all kinds of stuff, while the honest dirty drivers are correctly moderated. I got bumped off at least 3 times, each time the penalty system worked. So now I get to race in SR.S again

I'm surprised to still be in S after those two penalties. Race B is my go to as I haven't qualified there. Still a bit nervous though. Not touching the Mini(I love you, Mini, but sorry, not worth it this week.).

Heh... you mean a Gr.B Stratos . I'm really surprised they added the production version instead.

Stratos, as nutty as it is, is an NA V6, RWD and thus pretty far removed even from PD's peculiar definition of Group B.

The amount of extra power and weight reduc the Stratos gets allows you to make it comparable to most any properly homologated rally Stratos. I can't be bothered googling but I recall the WRC Stratos' had around 240hp.

To represent Lancia in Gr B, since all the others are 4WD, the only real option is the Delta S4, or any later model. Post-group B rallycross versions have had 800hp or thereabouts.

Of course, no one drives Gr B. As it is...

I just lost 17SR in one race, two SR downs both incurring penalties on my part. First was someone put their nose in between my car and wall coming into the bus stop. Second was someone rammed me from behind going through the bus stop and veered off into a wall.

Both events lost me places in the race and any sportsmanship points gained on the night. How frustrating.

Woot finally cracked the avoidance game for Goodwood.

In the low SR.S room (87 SR). The winner had a red S and there were a couple of red A's and B's in the room but I managed to get around them all Fun race, first clean race bonus, hopefully more to follow. Back to 99 SR, the dirty SR.S room lol.

6th in the fast SR.S room. And yup, door banging and draft bumping starts immediately. I got two SR Downs from a draft bump (trying to push me through the car in front?) and almost getting bumped off, hanging on is considered bad sportmanship. There were also more red ratings and some red A's in the end. However the level of racing has improved enough to get to stay on the road for the whole race. Much better.

Time for a break, it's getting pretty monotonous with all those rights.

Red letter indicates that you lost SR that race, White letter means you came out even and a Blue letter means you gained SR.

Red means SR loss from the race. White means no gains or losses. Blue means SR gained. It doesn't show how much though -1 or -30 is just as red (but they'll have a lower SR grade), same as +1 or +26 for Blue.

It would be nice if DR had the same coloring so you can see who gained and who lost DR for the race. It doesn't even update your DR rank in the post race screen.

I'm done. Until the penalty system gets an update, I'm doing nothing apart from Q laps. Or maybe next week's race C. Because they're generally not full of desperate halfwits.

Get hit while someone dive bombs me? Penalty. Twice.

Get hit by someone coming back onto the track? Penalty.

Get hit from behind while braking? Penalty.

SR down most sectors, and the above penalties in three laps, and we have my first rage quit since just before Xmas.

I like the idea of the Blue/White/Red indicators for DR, that would be sweet.

It would be funny if it showed which driver(s) you took it from.

Try the 458 Italia, it handles so nice around tracks like Goodwood, willow springs etc. It feels different while qualifying with no gas and no tire wear, it actually handles even better with that stuff on

I still couldn't beat my door number It was a full B/S room, rarity. No clean star either since I stopped a track re-entry from shooting over to the other side. Saw him coming, braced for impact and kept us both on the road, thus lost sportmanship lol. Actually there were two more, a little draft tap from behind in traffic and a dive on my inside from someone braking a bit late. However he kept braking, didn't bump pass and allowed me to stay on the road, I wish A/S had that kind of sportmanship. It was a tight race with lots of close traffic in the first half, intense, fun, awesome. I need more than 5 minutes between races after one like this, best race is a long time.

I did one more race C, crazy fun. I started 19th, made it to 8th in lap 5. Then I touched the grass, nearly spun, corrected yet went off for the left right after, so I enjoyed the grass for a bit waiting for a safe place to re-enter, dropped to 14th. I got back to 9th in lap 8 (passed 2 in the pit) yet then had to brake for a penalty server. I got boxed in, nowhere to go but grass. I did the sensible thing and dropped to 12th having to let the cars behind go through. I gained one place then jumped to 4th in lap 9 since the rest went into the pit.

I passed a car in lap 9 yet stayed in 4th since a car stuck in the pit was now in first... I pit, come out in 8th with the stuck car no longer listed, but drop to 9th from traffic coming from behind on warm tires. I pass a couple, almost crash at the chicane, drop back, catch back up and finally finish 6th on fumes. Fun stuff.

Still haven't raced it.

I got DWG'd a TT, but my internet froze when I entered the race. When it came good. I was in 15th with 8 laps to go. TT wasn't bad. I also got DWG'd a 4C. I'll try that now before the maintenance.

Edit: Wow. I feel like such a cheater. Drive it fast, slow, whatever. Keep it on the road and just steer the thing. I got hit up the rear by another 4C. Hence an orange arrow.

I can forgive getting hit from behind, under the circumstances. He had a decent slipstream, and it's a downhill braking zone.

The divebombs by the German and Brit were just stupid. Maybe half a car width between me and the inside curbing. Coming from about .5/.6s back, slamming it up the inside. Ah well, I'm sure it'll get better . .

For uploads I upload screen captures from the PS4 direct to YouTube, then embed the link here. I do have a good double (may even be a triple) overtake from the chicane of death to upload after work, now that you remind me.
