One thing I haven't seen anyone mention in the Daily/Weekly debate is that, in theory anyways, the racing should be at least slightly cleaner with week long races, with new races each day it wouldn’t give anyone much time to practice before going out to race, leading to more incidents on track would it not?
In theory yes, but it kinda backfired. Monday and also Tuesday already are just a free for all mess. Then again on Saturday when those who only have time to race in the weekend jump in without practice.
At least with dailies you had a level playing field and while yes, it was also messy early, it cleaned up much faster than it does now without having this huge disparity in the weekend between week long drivers and those just jumping in.
But it is true that racing on Friday (before people start drinking) is cleaner than dailies ever were. Not all combos though. The ones where it's easy to cheat the penalty system, or where the SR budget is too high only get worse. People get more skilled in cheating and getting away with things as well :/
Why not compromise and have a staggered set up with one new combo every day, lasting 3 days each.
