After the complaints that too much SR was being given away for race A, have they gone too far the other way? You seem to gain 3 SR for each clean race in this week's A.

Seriously, wow..... gonna be hard to stay with a good rating me thinks as lots of folks don't seem to know the track....

I've had a bit of a 'mare with Race B so far today. I qualified with a low 1:57 and ran 5 events, each time finishing in the bottom 3 after starting mid-pack, losing 3.2k DR in the process.. The supra just doesn't feel the same to me in the race as it does in qualifying. I can run consistent laps with the 911 but it gets monstered down the straights by the Toyota. Back to the drawing board on this one!

How much you get depends on how much you have. The higher your SR the less of it you gain during a race. Sven knows all the details, I can’t remember all of it now.

FML

Two races today.

First race was against the Supra that was sitting at the top of the leader board at 1:55.2
Second race was against the Supra that is currently sitting at the top of the leader board with a 1:54.8

I'm sitting at a 1:56.2 with the Porsche.

Guess I have some work to do.

Eagerly waiting for your Maggiore GP lap guide :D:D:D
I'll hopefully have it up 12 hours from now, along withe the A and C guides. I did make one for Maggiore GP in February, but my current best is already better than the old guide. :D Can't wait to improve on it more and get the editing going lol (currently visiting family out of town).

Yup. Well, now I gotta know. An analysis must be done. I thought of a way you can do it. Go to Special Stage Route X and compare the first sector times. It might be best to use the A/T, to rule out any shifting discrepancies. I can give it a try when I get home from work, tonight. 👍
That's a splendid idea! I'll mess around in Autopolis after I finish editing the videos. I'll also do SSX as well.:D

I guess it would have been easier on GT4 or 5. Didn't one of those have speed tests? I think there was 400m, 1,000m, 1/4 mile, top speed.

Since day one i do my races, 99% of time with S on fair play ranking; felt tonight in a trap, of 3 dirty races in a row. Daily C was a battlefield, starting with the tradinional mess on starting grid. Now B on fair play for tonight. Think i just ruined my FIA and Manu coming next...

I’ve got the Walkenhorst M6 down to a 1:58.7 around LM, this car is such a handful to drive, but I felt like trying something different first for some reason. Might try the AMG next. :)

Edit: AMG got me down to 58.0. Trying the R8 now, I’d like to try the Supra but I have no idea where to shift that car, any car that had to be short shifted messed me up.

Come home,t on GTS and imagine my announce when I see that Race C is with the Super formula that I don't own.

Why the heck can't we use both the Honda or Toyota??? It's the same car, is it not?

Took the me-too option at Lake Madge with the Porsche, current best is 1:57.5... I'm sure I can blag a flukey 1:56 though...

Haven't raced this track in a while, forgot how fun it was...!

The funny thing is it's the opposite of race A, where the game says "These two cars are the same, except for the brand. Please feel free to use whichever one you prefer".:lol::lol:

Wow, the latest BOP changes have done wonders for the 458.

1:57.094 at present, which is 2.2 seconds quicker than my previous quali time for Gr.3 @ Maggiore back in February.

I know there’s another .5 in it for me as I’ve been getting that a couple of times in the first sector alone, but then blow it over the rest of the lap.

I thought it was just me. I'm finding the same in the 458. I'm not the quickest of cats, but a fairly consistent 2:03 in qualifying around Maggiore GP for this weeks B race. Race starts and the thing oversteers in turn 1 like it has no manners.

Down to a 13.6 after getting a feel for the combo, but there is so much more still left to find.
I've done a 13.1. I think I've improved a bit, but you certainly used to always be a bit faster than me, so you can probably still beat me. 1.1% off Alexony94's 11.6, which will be my best ever speed score if the #1 doesn't improve from there.

Great Lap!!

I’m down to 13.4 now I think, it’s just so hard to make a perfect pass on this track, there’s just sooooo many corners to connect. I’m gonna have another go at it tomorrow, I think I’ve got a 12.5 in me if I can make a clean run. I kinda wanna do some racing on this combo, it could be fun. :)

I suggest trying the GT40 test car.. just run my first 4 laps there and it's doing low 1'57's so soon.. this thing is a wicked drive and it's got a lot more to offer with effort 👍

Good god the SF race is an utter ****ing joke, there is no point in trying to post a Top 5 time only to IMMEDIATELY get taken out entering turn 1 by a bunch of 🤬.

That's nice.

I'll look for the older one in the meantime then. Definitely need tho shave quite a bit from the 2.00.000 I got earlier on.

I reckon I can get to low 1.58 with more practice. Loving the track, never had a lap on it (it's only my third week with the game), but I'm still not sure if I'll be able to get there in just a week.

1 Race C at Fuji this afternoon. QT 1:25.439. Got me 8th on a mixed grid. Finished 10th. Fell to last at the start. First 2 laps were rough. Then it was pretty open road until pitting. Should have done better.

Need more laps. Jumped in to race too early. I have to stop choosing races based on what livery I'm in the mood for.

Race C. Started 8th on RS. Grabbed 3rd and then 2nd at lap 2. Flat out for 5 laps. Pitted for RS and 4 laps of fuel. 14th after pit stop. Grabbed 2nd after everyone pitted. Flat out for 5 laps. Pitted for RS and 4 laps of fuel. Finished 7th.

I can't be bothered with the fuel saving and conserving tyres. I had fun going fast and pitting. Passing cars on RM and taking it easy. Call me Ricky Bobby.

Race B. Started 13th in the 911. Made it thru T1-4. Get punted T5.
Last place and the AMG GT that punts me waits for me to pass it. We raced cleanly swapping positions for the remainder of the race. Passed two cars ahead. Last lap, the AMG grans too much curb for 0.5 seconds. I take its position at the line. Finished 11th

Race A. Started last(12th). Made a great start for grab 9th on the outside. I see a car is coming up the inside and the car I passed stays in the middle. I back off way before T1 and get punted.
Fight back all race to grab 6th.

Done until next week.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll give the GT40 a go tomorrow.

Blind run at Fuji - Q 1.26.something. P6 at start.

TC on 2 because hey, i just got up. Got the absolute god start and the dude on pole bottled, handing me first straight off the bat. Had no idea on strategy so I figured I'll go max attack on the softs. I wasn't really thinking about winning - I had a little gap but the quicker guys were closing it and by lap 2, I had a Russian right behind me. He took me nice and clean at the final turn, but annoyingly I ran wide onto the green strip of punishment and spun it. Come the time I was pointing the right way I was in the double digit positions. Ran the laps and made a couple positions back, had to pit end of lap 6 due to going max attack on the revs and the tires struggling after the spin. Finished in p10, but relatively clean so no worries. I only screwed myself.

Later, since I'd actually found it relatively easy to get the car safely around Fuji, I decided to queue up again and try qualifying with TC off. I found that by going a lot quicker through T2, only brushing the brakes and dropping down to 5th, and attacking the kerb in 2nd at the hairpin, I was gaining a lot of time and dropped down rapidly through the laps into a 1.24.5(ish) which felt rather quick. Following the lap around on subsequent goes around, I could gain on myself in a couple of the turns, so I think that 1.23 could be on the table for me.

I'm down in DR C now, so that's good for 4th on the grid. Raikkonen McLaren livery and suit applied, I settled on a semi-shortshifty 1 stop on softs, pitting at the end of 11 to make the strategy simple. I settled on TCS1, just to make it less skechy to avoid traffic or make moves on the slow corners, and also to make the tire wear not bite into the rhythm of the lap too much.

Another good start gave me p3, which I took as a cue to go max attack for two laps, stretching my gap to a couple of seconds, but I made a few minor errors going slightly wide on some corners, so i reverted to short shifting (about 1/3 revs) and the guys behind me caught up somewhat. Since I'd been managing the gap when going all out, I took this to mean the guys behind were going max attack so I put my faith in my strategy. I entered the pits as planned on lap 7 in 6th with multiple other cars with 12% in the tank and smiled at the 2s and 3s next to every name in the display. Came out of the pits in 3rd with a comfy few seconds behind me and managed the tank for a couple laps to go max attack and burn DRS on the straight for the last two laps. Came home 3rd and very happy with that.

So, screw it, blind race A before bed. Pick the Subaru for rebel points. Classic TC1 at launch trick... Nice couple positions gained. All tidy into t1 and fun battling the rest of the way around. Off camber turns bring out my rally instincts. Settle the weight before powering on. Lots of guys oversteering wide when they hit that hump in traffic. Way more fun to be had in these cars here than there was at Fuji a couple weeks back. Finished 6th or 7th I think, was a blast.

Good races this week... Could I possibly get my first race C win? Been driving the SF19 a lot in lobbies and custom races recently and it is a lot easier and more fun around Fuji than I thought it would be... My strategy seemed relatively fast, anyone been trying different tyres/approaches?

Did the R8 get changed this week? It feels weird, like trying to steer a cruiseship in Race B, compared to how amazing it was at Race C last week.

Quick question about the super formula. I remember people saying that the two cars were different and that one was slower. Is that still the case, and if so, what is the preferred car?

Summary of my last "C" race:

>Start on pole
>Have a good start
>IMMEDIATELY get punted off back to P5 in Turn 1 by an idiot
>Then get both punted off by 4th place the next lap THEN get spun out exiting the last corner

I absolutely hate this game sometimes

pretty sure that is fake news. The only difference I am aware of is the engine tone.
