WHY CAN'T I FIGURE THIS TRACK OUT!!!!!!! I'm sorry for yelling, i feel better now though.... lol

Seriously though. I did an hour and a half of hot laps last night and 4 races this morning and i still just can't get it solved. Use ghost, watch @Mistah_MCA vid wich always helps when i have trouble. But nothing is helping it "click" yet...

Which race are we talking about???

BTW, on this topic, I tried the FIA manufacturers practice on Sardenga A. I hate that track. Maybe I'm on the wrong tires or something, but I generally hate tracks where the fastest way around is to keep it floored and pray you don't hit something on the roadside to slow you down.

Also, I still hate the Supra. I know it's splitting hairs, but I feel like 1:55's at LM become a little too easy once you figure out the shifting on that car. I'm at a 1:55.8, but I lose 0.5 from the hairpin to the finish and I'm not sure how.

The Supra is an epic qual car for wheel users.
Right now it has everything. Torque hp handling brakes...It’ll bite you though in race if you don’t respect it.

Race A... road cars are my jam yo lol

I shouldn't be getting so upser over it, still 82 or something on the muricas server, but i know i should be hittin mid 13's and i just can't figure out what the heck i am doing wrong. Been a while since this happend. I usually am fully aware of where i suck on a track when i do lol

I’ve not seen anyone use the Subaru on race A. It’s the same car as the 86 right? Why is no one using it?

Hi,

I have tried both and I can't tell any difference to be honest - Then again, I am c**p at this stuff so I don't know. Best time so far is a 2.16.xx with a pad controller. I know there is more in there but I am damned if I can find it!

Might have another go at it now.

:-)

Regards.

Ian.

What exactly is the best car for the "B" race?

That depends. I would say the 911. I run mine with +2 brake balance. The Supra is really dominant if you short shift it, but I don't think it's as reliable a finisher as the Porsche.

I can hustle the Alfa around there, but that might just be me.

I'd like to thank the "C" race for showing me what a utter pathetic joke the penalty system is in this game, it literally feels like PD hired the Canada GP stewarts to do every daily race

1.1% off Alexony94's 11.6, which will be my best ever speed score if the #1 doesn't improve from there.
LOL, like that was ever going to happen, #1 down to 11.2, outrageous how far ahead of most of the top 10 the top few are.

I'll chime into this:
While you can get some great acceleration with the Supra, it feels understeery in some parts: the esses and the last 4 turns.
The Porsche seems to be a good contender as well. Handles the turns like a champ.

So in other words: pick your poison. :)

Race C is a SR down notification plan. But a fun Race. Got my quali time to 1.21.08* i'm liking my new skills. Never expected to reach This high 1y ago

For Race B indeed the Alfa is magnificent.

OK, so first ever session in the SF didn't go too badly. Short 15 lap stint (I usually do 30ish) and we're at 1:22.885.

I've learnt a couple of things today.

1. These things are fast enough to make my head hurt.

2. You really do need to grab them by the back of the neck.

3. THOSE BRAKES!!

4. Random moments of understeer. It's a little odd. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing to create it. But, I can live with it.

Ok so my Dr and SR were at B and C, now after the last race they're at D and E

WHAT?!

( Reminder that i literally got rammed and hit the whole race yet i was driving as clean as possible )

End of Day 1 report.

Punching well above my weight at Fuji, once again.

1:21.967. At time of posting, 412th in EMEA. There's another few tenths in it. I can't get the last two turns nailed in this thing. I'll figure it out tomorrow.

I’ve never had it happen Twice in one night before, so close, yet so far away.

U ever tied the time on your other account? I think I only done that once.

Not on my other account, but I’ve definitely tied the time I was chasing a few times. :)

Finally tried the Supra, first lap beat all my other attempts in all other cars, 57.8 now. Now I gotta figure out how to drive the damm thing.

I decided to get in on some Supra laps. That things nasty! Looks as if the r8 is still holding out at number one, but many Supras are close!
It never ceases to amaze me how much time can be had.
I still wouldn’t race it though I don’t think. I sent several to the scrap pile over the last hour of qual lol.
I didn’t hit optimal, but there’s so many ways to lose time I think it’s best I got.

I don't have that lap yet  I need to get home first before I kick your ghost's booty

Ah, so you’re still “it” then. ;) I have no doubts you’ll hit that mark or lower by tomorrow though.

@sturk0167 This is me learning to drive the Supra, I told you I crash I lot!

I did score a 57.5 in the end though, but man, that’s one wild ride!! :)

Dude, what the hell? That was hard to watch. You have 100 times more patience than I do (or stubbornness). The first 4 or 5 times you hit Retry, I was laughing. Then it started getting uncomfortable. I'm wondering when you're gonna just turn up the TCS and complete a lap. Is that what your qualifying sessions usually look like?

Important note from the "C" race:

SO.

MANY.

DAMN.

BRAZILIANS.

Lol you should see me qualify for Le Mans, getting those first 2 chicane cuts just right. Probably 100 retries right there alone before Mulsanne... It’s worth it for them top50 quals though.

Haha Naw it’s not usually that bad, maybe a crash every few laps or so with fast cars. This is just particularly hard car to drive for whatever reason and I have hardly ever used it. After the first few I should eased off a bit or taken a brake, but by that point I was both frustrated and determined(stubborn  ) to get the car around the track so kept at it lol. I’m just glad that when I finally did make it around that it was a better time than the one I was chasing. That would have really sucked to not beat it after all that.

So, a sportsmanship question. Was leading race A just now, was a little bit out of sorts, hit the brakes perhaps a bit early and got tapped going into the first hairpin. Not hard enough to spin me, but hard enough that the tapper easily came through the corner in first, and didn't even give a thought to letting me get the position back.

Fast forward to the other hairpin, first place left their braking too late and wound up well off-line at the exit, and I pulled past them on the exit (we're going identical speeds here and all down the straight):

Obviously, if I were to move to the left and take a normal line, #1 would have the inside line into the next two corners and more or less easily regain first, so I simply drove straight on from here until the orange marking on the barricade at the end of the straight where I widened my line to brake for the corner. My thinking is I'm in the lead, I've already compromised my exit to leave room on the outside, they aren't entitled to any more track than I'm giving them here, but I could see how the driver of the blue car might feel this is not exactly the cleanest move. Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. As long as you don't hit him, I'd say do whatever you want. I wouldn't mind, if I was the blue car. I would just make sure I braked a touch later than you, and take the position in the corner, forcing you to either lose the spot or hit me. 👍

If I was him I’d turn in on you forcing you off.

The hard part is everyone else is always dirty and wrong...
