I use a G27, no aids just ABS default. I know I lose time in the esses because I usually miss the line and end up breathing the throttle on exit which kills speed up the hill. I think I have a run a high 1:57 in a race as my best lap, pretty much always in traffic.

The entry to the esses is very tricky, I think wheel is a big advantage unless you are a ds4 savant.
The merc is a very dangerous opponent.
911 can’t pull out on the straights even drafting the vette, but really good players can get by under braking if they execute.
I feel like gr3 you really gotta run a lot in race to learn the car’s strengths and weaknesses.
Certain parts of diff tracks suit certain cars better. Personally I tend to stick with one car because I am familiar with it...
For me it makes the game fun.

Maybe I'm being paranoid here but I'm nervous to do any of these dailies with the first turn and kamikaze players...
race B is definitely an SR killer, but I am happy to just take the hit and enjoy the track as it is one of my favourite, would love to have a full 10 lap race with Grp3 cars on that track.

I'm back to a DS4 now (T500 was taking up too much space in my 1bed) I found the esses fine if you turn in earlier than you actually think you need to, especially for the first left

See if i turn in early, weight shifts left, then I turn right but the angle is now too acute and i can't swing her around for the next left that absolutely has to be flat.

The esses are what they are, I've got them more or less down - as in I consistently lose the same amount of time through them relative to a top lap time, basically I can do them as good as I'll ever manage.

The big one for me is that big right hander (turn 5?) before they start. I have no idea where the apex is on that thing...

Slowly getting better at autopolis....

Got my time to a 14.028 with a 13.672 as a optimal. I will get a 13 the question now is how far into it i can get.

6 races this morning and they were good. Although i am not a real fan of this track it does make for good racing as i suspected. A few podiums and a few wins back to hot laps to see if i have learned anything... lol

Dirty Alert! Watch out for @Mistah_MCA's ghost at Autopolis. At the beginning of the lap, it will definitely try to run into you. Although, by about the 3rd turn it seems to lose interest, and then just pulls away and leaves you alone.

Brake after the runoff area on the left, then apex over curb and full throttle towards the edge. The lesson in track works well for grp3

In this race I run the line shown. I brake at cones. Trail a touch then baby throttle full throttle at or before apex of first left. I do a lift into the second left than flat.
Qual Supra I made it flat but I was scrubbing some.

@JoeyLeonine put on cones for brake marker there. I normally brake hugging the left until the orange wall on the left, turn in on trail brake to the apex. Its a bit of a late apex, feather throttle while entering apex, progress throttle to 50-70% until around 5-15 meters of apex, mash it and pass people.

Well, i am gettin there. Almost at the point where i feel like i can start "attacking" some of the turns. I swear it's taking me longer to learn this course than the nord lol

Decent race B this morning. QT 1:59.550. Started 14th. Finished 11th.

Clean race bonus for the 1st time in a while. Back to max SR for the 1st time in 10 days.

And most importantly, racing the livery I want to. :sly:

Yes I have noticed the 911 cant touch the Vette on the straights as long as I get a decent exit. The AMG however just comes charging at me every time. The Vette "feels" like the fastest GR3 car in a straight line to me but the AMG has the power advantage.

Race A hot lapping now down to 2:13.895. Shaved off about half a second from yesterday. Took 30 odd laps, which included messing around with my wheel settings.

Thanks to @Mistah_MCA for the YouTube guide. Deffo helped me - especially turn 16. I couldn't decide if it was 2nd or 3rd gear yesterday. Clearly leaving it in 3rd was the way to go as it allowed me to balance the brake and throttle while the car was stable.

I'm currently preferring 4th for turn 12 for stability and using the downshift to 3rd to help with rotation for turn 13.

Breaking 2:14 was today's target. I can eat now! :)

The Mustang is powerful also.
If I race I hate seeing Merc Mustang
Most other cars don’t bother me much.
I know this.
I have one friend who is very fast on d pad.
He doesn’t play much but...
He’s switched to merc from vette
I raced him with vette at Alsace and couldn’t catch...

Took some boating lessons to get that supra under 1:57. Its just so stupid, that the Camaro had more grip last week on the same track. :banghead:
No intrest to race that thing, miss the driving line just few mm (1" is 25.4mm for you american friends) and lap is ruined.
So how about some grip to the cars PD??

Anyway, here's my lap for laughs

Do any of you electronic wizards know which wire I would cut inside of the G29 to disable the ffb? I looked everywhere online, but apparently nobody has done it.
Put switch in motor wire. So the wheel still calibrates it self.
Have you tested adjusting wheel values in game to 1 at all parameters?

I wouldn't know how to do that, but I do have wire cutters. Yes, I've reduced everything to minimums, but there's a big dead zone in the center, that is unbearable for me. My cars are literally incapable of driving in a straight line. The closest I can get to straight is light swerving, which would of course, be unusable in Sport Mode.

I guess you replied while I was deleting the post, because I was going to go to a different thread with it. Thank you

I spent a few minutes looking for my gloves yesterday. Usually next to my wheel but yesterday found 1 in the kitchen and 1 on the balcony completely covered in fur.:lol:

Cat logic. The glove must die.

I had that with my bike gloves a few weeks after picking up the youngest cat I'm governed by. Left them on the table in the living room, in my helmet. She dragged one out "killed" it, and hid it under the sofa. Luckily it was just scratches, and a few pin holes near the wrist.

Two years later, and I still can't leave anything made out of leather in a place where she'll find it.

After reading the comments (for almost three days now) I think I just skip the B race - and with it the whole week :D :D :D . Saving my DR for another time :D :D :D

Stupid me, I lost ALL my DR last night doing the dirty Race B. I started 3rd on one race and wound up finishing 15th. Why? Because I was dive-bombed on turn 1 and then while trying to get back onto the track, I was sideswiped. Also, none of these Yahoo's were given a penalty! I wanted to throw my TV out the window at that point.

I am on D-pad and the Merc has been my go to car for months now.

it's not as powerful as you first think, what helps it is at TC1 or 2 it doesn't bog down like a lo tof other cars and it also handles bumps REALLY well so doesn't lose traction over curbs.

In race B, the porsche is hands down quicker through the corners but on exit it slips compared to the Merc which just bites and runs.

I'll raise your daily boating with Canadian all weather driving
Time for rain to come to GT Sport!

I remember that race we had at Nurb gp.
I had you a bit early lap but you were all over me in the chicane. That was a race!
The merc is a great car.
