I was just in a race, last lap on the final straight. I was running second and the guy in first place wanted to celebrate his victory by driving close to the pit lane. Well he ended up getting a little too close and hit the wall. This brought him to a dead stop and gave him a 5 second penalty just 100ft or so from the finish line. He finished 9th.

Ouch

It may be time for the Sprinter Trueno to make it's Sport Mode debut.

If it is and you can just run it without management of fuel i would be all over that yo. Not a big fan of the other two races for myself but i like seeing new combos. Just as well perhaps, the only other game i generally play a ton of (but have barely touched in months) is getting a nice dlc tues)

Can I just say...

Last time N24 came around as a daily race, it was race C again, with the exact same length (2 laps).

Except it was Gr.3.

Someone at PD clearly had a drink too much :P

A: Nurb gp gr4 (specially provided) 3 laps
B: Sardegna C gr3 8 laps
C: Nürburgring Nordschleife n100 one make 2 laps
That's me sorted for next week. @sturk0167 It's the Nordschleife, there are no non favorite cars on that track :gtpflag:

Samba bus?
Abarth 1500?
Alpine A110?
Fiat 500?
Porsche 356?
Volkswagen 1200?

Perhaps a choice pitting the oldies against each other /drool. (guess not, would say specially provided car otherwise I think)

Anything will do. It looks like a no stop unless whatever N100 car is up has really bad fuel consumption.

This is without the NGP section. N100 2 laps on N24 would take too long. N100 1 lap on Nord is probably too long for A and B as well since those all have to be done in 8 minutes nowadays.

If you're talking about N100 on Nurburgring...

I am going to 🤬 hate myself by Tuesday morning.

@sturk0167 I'll be fine!!!
I'm going to need to go to a therapist after doing the lap guide for this god-forsaken combo

Perhaps you can settle the question of how many corners the Nordschleife actually has :)
http://www.greenhellguides.com/2014/08/24/many-curves-nurburgring-nordschleife/

Somewhere between 73 and 170 apparently.

Time to head out for a ride first. It's 43c atm with the humidex but I'm cycling into a nice cool thunderstorm according to the radar maps. Should be fine :dunce: I love the heat!

Ah, my bad :O Still, I wonder how many people will bother to set a Q time for this

All the sweats I’m sure.

If its indeed a mistake. My prediction is

A: Sardegna C N100 one make
B: Nürburgring GP GR3
C: Nürburgring GR4

@Mistah_MCA, it would be awesome if your lap guide for Nordschleife was about 15 seconds long, and you just said "Hey, everyone. Mistah MCA here. Uh, I don't even really know where to begin with this damn track. Just do whatever the hell you want. See you next week."

The Megane Trophy would be good for A, the last turn at Sardegna C...in Gr3...🤬 that! Nurburgring with N100 could be awesome. Either way kudos to PD for mixing it up!

I can imagine the pile ups and sr drops there lol

Oh god lol. I don't know if that'll piss off my viewers.

Tried the Daily C because I haven't driven the Super Formula yet. Started my hotlaps on the medium tire wondering to myself "why am I so slow". I looked at a top time and saw that they were running on softs and felt so stupid. I went from a 1:23.7xx on the mediums to a 1:21.1xx on the softs. There is still more time in the last sector but I'm having difficult getting a consistent line. I don't really have a braking point for Dunlop corner which is certainly hurting me. I also need to do better in Hairpin and 100R. I honestly enjoyed my small session. If feels great to be playing GT on my birthday. Haven't felt that in a while.

I just did a custom race at Nordschleife in the N100 '89 Eunos Roadster. I tried to use all the race settings, but the game only let me go to x3 on tire wear, instead of x5, which the race calls for, and x2 of fuel consumption, instead of x3. Nevertheless, at the end of 1 lap I really had to look closely to see the tiniest sliver of red on my tire wear. They would probably last for about 8 or 10 laps. I also had over 7 laps of fuel remaining.

The lap time was 9:40 (only had 2 minor crashes). I can't imagine there will be any reason to pit or conserve, at all. I'm assuming all N100 cars are reasonably close in terms of tire wear and fuel consumption.

Trough the week i have tried the bb at +2 to -2 and everything in between. I can feel a bit of a difference in the car but it doesn't seem to change my overall lap time/performance. This is just a hard combo for me i guess. Tbh i still d9nt feel like i have the "flow" of the track just right yet either.

That said... i just had two of my best races of the week running with a crowd of friends at the front we fought for positions and i managed to actually finish at or above my starting place. Saw @dlshearon in one of the races, nice to see you on the track man (oh there you are again)

It was good to see ya this mornin!
Finally got up to C before I had to work.

Next week’s races. :eek::drool:

Hooked up to the internet by my cellphone to try qualifying in race B.
2:00:686 in the Merc with automatic and bb-2.
I am pleased enough with that for the week

C: Nürburgring Nordschleife n100 one make 2 laps

Hate the track - I'm with James May on this - but loved the concept and the sheer insanity. I'm hoping for the VW Samba, but I suspect it'll be the 356.

[QUOTE="golfer07840, post: 12803431, I wanted to throw my TV out the window at that point.[/QUOTE]

Oh Boy what a recollection memories... Way back on Gran Turismo 3. I was total rage and fed up on car that wouldnt turn(actual its me). I knock(flipped) 27" Sony TV to floor and drag the power cord to porch and swing out to driveway that scatter pieces. Same goes to PS 2 console. Neighbor called police and told police just stupid of me did this. Neverless I was put to 72 hrs observation hospital. Boy did I learn big time? Yes huge! LOL

The more i think about it, although a bit of a stetch certainly. It would be kinda apropriate to have the ae86 run the mountain, considering why most people know of the car. I actually ran laps with it there when it first came out, as i was going through a bit of a personal trials there at the time. I remember it being a pretty nice drive on the stock tires even. Now i am kinda hoping for it tbh

N100 on the Ring is gonna be...
