I find Race B is not too bad for dropping SR, if you race steady and wait for mistakes you can make up quite a few places fairly easily.

This is my experience also. I got my Q down to 52.644 which gets me top half of most A:S lobbies. I'm yet to get a win on this setup but I have a managed a podium or two. Twice i ended up in an A+ lobby with SuperGT, WiFi password and a few other quick drivers I've seen on the internet and I held my own, sort of. I must say finishing 12th and getting 800 DR was quite pleasant!

My Swift is ready.
If you could add some laces on the bonnet, that would look exactly like a pair of trainers I used to own back in the '80s. :)

Did Race C in this little chap.

I ran a quick couple of tours through the Eiffel forest before hand and realised early doors I wasn't gonna go sub 9.30 no matter how long I spent trying. So just dived in without a QT. 5 others did the same and bar 1 poor sod in the 40s everyone else was sub 35. So it was probably a wise choice really.

Starting in P19 then, optimistic about the carnage, chaos and entertainment to come...

Well... few fell off the road together about 1/4 of the way around and I went up to P16... Where I stayed... For another 1 and 3/4 laps, 9 secs behind P15 and 9 secs ahead of P17...

How. Very. Dull.

I just watched the Q lap replay of the #1 guy, DNA Kontra. It showed him doing the lap in my car. He couldn't have downloaded my custom livery (nor would he want to), because I updated it after I shared it, and it showed him in my updated livery. Has this been happening for a while, and I just haven't noticed? :dunce: Don't remember ever seeing that.

Race B and Race C are polar opposites.

Race B - Blink and you'll crash and/or hit someone who is spinning in front of you.
Race C - Try to not fall asleep

I've noticed this recently but not sure when it started. Watching replays from within a qualifying sessions seems to put the replay car in whatever livery you have selected at that time.

Every time you watch a Lap lately it shows the car using the livery on your own car, I’ve noticed this for a few weeks now. :)

DNA Kontra is @KONTRAone I’m pretty sure, I was chasing him last night, but he just kept sailing off into the distance on me though.

Hey guys,
I have two GT profiles, because I created a new one for FIA Cups and now I am driving in both, because my DR is much higher in one. I aim for having two on the same level. Now in Race A I am able to drive low 2:06 in a row. I think I just need a few hours to change from a C/C rating to a B/S

I need to chase a ghost that's about 3 or 4 seconds quicker than me, but there aren't any of those available, because I'm still at 9:14.9. One that is 15 seconds faster, is pretty useless after the first minute or two.

Race B went horrible wrong for me.

First race, i just wanted to practice but accidentally clicked race entry instead of time trial and then got matched so decided not to quit, well finished last. Guy ghosted down the hill and i tried to pass him by side not through him and hit the wall. Cant do that downhill learned quickly :P

Second Race, got to 11th from 16th but spun before the downhill curb and and on T1 coz VLX_Stevegaming was behind me :P

Third Race, got rammed last corner. Over.

All 3 races finished last :P Only have a flicker of Bar for DR A. More races like this and gonna drop to DR B again :(

Final Race, started 13th and finished 7th. Finally able to push, learned the track and correct lines.

Downhill, you have to back off or the other guy should otherwise it will end up in flames.

Got to 52:843 in AMG as for now. The Track ends too soon i feel. So short but Epic.

Along with Maggiore, Sardegna is legendary now. Period.

So this is the 5th week I don't feel the urge to race. Everything got kinda boring and repeating. And the weeks leading up to our wedding and now the days after took a toll on my affordable time.

I did some B-Races on Saturday and Sunday which nearly dropped me to DR D. For this week: The garage and gas station in my neighbourhood is a Suzuki Dealer. In fact, the Swift is a typical beginner car here, mostly driven by young women/girls who just got their license. I cannot make up my mind to race with this lump of sheet metal.

Race B is on a fun layout I think. But on the other hand, the mid section seems to be a Nordschleife-Offspring: Narrow, twisty, downhill, uphill... without having tried I guess passing with justifyable risk is only possible in T1, T2 (entering the infield) and exiting back to the finish-straight.

And race A: Why again a subsection of G4 cars? What about all those lightweights like the KTM Crossbow, that Honda-Thing etc.?

Daily / Weekly race A.

Is this getting close to Eau Rouge at Spa?

Is there a way of checking any data to see if I did lift any through that quick section?

When you get it right its a mighty nice feeling!

Cheers.

Ian.

@Mistah_MCA, thanks for the race C lap guide. I'm still about 10 or 11 seconds behind you. I can see a couple of obvious seconds I'm losing, when I watch your video. The most important turn for time that I've discovered is the right-hander at 5:40 in your video (no clue what any of the turn names are). When I've done that turn well, compared to when I've done it poorly, results in about a 3 second difference by the time I get to the sharp right that's before the carousel.

I also noticed that you stayed in 3rd gear in a couple of places where I've been using 2nd. You're also using less brakes than I am, mainly because I haven't memorized the entire track, but I'm getting pretty close to that. I'll probably watch your lap guide a couple more times, and spend a couple more hours driving around the track. 👍

Been a rough few days personally.

I hop into Race B before lunch for my first race of the week. Start fourth (actually not as bad as I thought) and I was promptly punted off at turn 1.

I don't understand how this happens. Grrr...

Then, after I come back on track, i gently tap the guy in front of me at turn 4...like gentle...and he goes off track and I get 5 seconds. FML

I just exited. I don't have it in me at the moment.

Think I got down to 52.7 at Sardegna in the Nissan last night. I'm having great fun with my minimum one crash per race too.

Tried a Race A yesterday and a Race C today. Very messy.

Probably comes across bitter and elitist. For that I apologize. But I enjoy the game because it feels like I'm driving a car. Which I truly thought I felt many months earlier. But the more changes they make the less I feel like I'm in a car racing with others and feel more like a video game where I just memorize patterns.

I'm taking another break from Sports Mode. To be clear, I still love this game. I load it up almost every day. Just the Sports Mode. I just can't get into it lately.

I've only tried Race B this week. I'm DR B, SR S and have gained tons of DR and extremely modest SR just by letting everyone in front take each other out and sailing past as it happens. Only contact is people tapping me from behind in braking zones, I assume cos their BB is set up different to my own. Quali lap is essentially 54s flat, so that starts me anywhere between 8-15th. Best finish has been 4th. The one or two at the front at the start, assuming they aren't taken out on the first corner, tend to be able to build a giant gap quite quickly. Also, starting behind 11th means you start in or before the last corner, which sucks.
Anyway, I'm surprised that I've managed to survive the Race B crashfest unscathed for 5 races in a row now... something's gotta give soon!

For Race C, I take it you don't need to pit in the Swift right?

Edit** just had to quit my first race ever because my PS4 overheated so the HDMI connection was useless, so no vision. Since I added extra fans and such I've never had this problem. Seems the summer heatwave can't be overcome. When it happened in the past, pausing would ghost me out which was ok... but that wasn't happening today so when I paused my car wasn't ghosting and was instead emergency stopping and driving itself into the path of others. I'd regain visual briefly to see my car being repeatedly rammed from behind by other drivers, ridiculous system. Hasn't yet affected my DR/SR but I'll see when the race is over in a few minutes I guess...
Edit** Nope, lost 1500 DR and dumped to SR A because I couldn't see anything. Looks like I won't be in SR S again for a long time, if the game forces its usual trajectory. I was so close to getting above 20000 for the first time as well.

Lol Race C

It takes decades to reach Sector 3. I opted out mid way though. But good combination. All 3 races are awesome this week.

Any tips for brake balance in the Gr.3 Lamborghini? I was running at 0 last night, and it felt nice, if slightly understeery. 1 to the rear? 2 to the rear? What works for you?

Jei, 0.07s improvement to race B q time
0:52.307 BB2 Huracan
That puts me on P 69 on EMEA  Quite happy with that.

Tested the GTR also, not really got how it handles.

That's a really great lap. I can't break 52.7 (literally stuck on 52.700) and have tried a few cars. The GTR feels fast but can't get the last corner right. Any acceleration while the car is rotating just results in the rear sliding around.

What I like about Race B is that there are several cars that are very competitive, and all I've tried seem like they could do a low 52. The weak link is behind the wheel

I’ve been using +2.

+1 might work too. I thought I was sketchy into turn 1 this morning at +2.

Did a couple of Race As for good measure.

Did a little reconnoiter pre-race in the TT that gave me a 13.2xx. Didn't have enough time to do anything more before the race started.

Race 1 P10. Up to P5 by start of L3. Decided to flick through the dials right before the braking zone into T1. Finished back in P10.

Race 2. Did some more QTT pre-race and dropped it to an 09.9xx again not rapid, but I'm not sitting here for hours time trialling at the moment. I'm just racing. But because of the silly matchmaking despite dropping 3.5 secs for a time that would have been P2-3 in the last race, this time I still start back in P9 behind guys who are a lot faster. A futile effort then. Get up to P7 by the chicane on L1 before being used as a replacement brake pedal by the guy who started in P5 but went backwards, much to his malign apparently. Finished stone dead last.

So I'm bored of Race A and C already after 3 total daily races so far this week. Let's see if Race B is at least 'fun' if not carnage.

Oh... And I forgot to say after all that...

Hi honey, I'm home!

Thanks! :)
I use BB 2, it makes the braking little hard, but car rotates better.

Few points that made my laps faster, for T1 if you got the entry right, you can go on throttle sooner and not spin tyres. There is a dip at the track that pushes the car down.
For T4, brake early, but just a little, trailbrake to apex and full power from there. Car will stay on track if you dont lift. (Well i have hit that barrier more than many times )
For down hill Ss turn in earlyer than you think, in both corners. Try as little steering input as possible, turn too much and car slows down.
You should get good line to uphill left keep on the curb untill it ends and start turn right. I lift slight to start slowing down for the last hairpin.
Hairpin is tricky, for me the key is to keep enough speed thru whole hairpin. Braking will easily upset the rear here, so be carefull and slow down early enough. So brake early but not too much.

Is there a way to see where your lap times ranks in the leaderboards outside of the Top 10?

I did a 52.7 in race B with the GT-R, wonder how competitive that is.

Edit: Nevermind I found it on kudosprime.
