Do you use TCS on the Mountain? I used to set it at 2 for the DS4, but have been trying to tame the beasts using the wheel.
I run without aids and brake bias to -3.

What a night of racing, holy hell. Started off by making the mistake of running Bathurst on my main in a car that isn't the Megane. After 3 races of bumps and shoves and penalties from Meganes my SR was tanked at 67. Lowest it's ever been. So I bailed on Race B and ran off to Sardegna to hopefully repair my sportsmanship rating. First race I got matched with a lobby of D rated drivers and one other A rated one. Finished in 2nd with a 15s gap to the other A driver in first. Speed demon. Next race I swapped to the Porsche and it was...interesting.
Begin with this T1 destruction derby (the rammer in green lambo will show up later)
Add in some second lap spice
Then we eventually catch up with the green lambo
Only to catch them again a lap later and be greeted by a brake check
All in a single race...unreal. Kept it clean myself though and ended up back at 99 SR after finishing in 10th.
...while still learning the track.I don't think Lambo man is necessary dirty, I think he's getting acquainted with the handling traits of a Huracan on worn rubber.

It would be nice, but no. I'm careful to practice a circuit quite a bit before going online if I've never driven it before, but first three days of every week at my level (currently DR-C) there are clearly drivers who've never done more than five laps just before the race in Q. Occasionally I've even seen drivers who're clearly seeing the track for the first time in the race, no Q time and missing every second corner.Surely completing the circuit experience should be a condition of race entry.
My kingdom for a Japanese player that doesn't shove the nose in the first (often non-existent) gap that presents itself.

Same region, I find it varies with time of day, which track and how far into the week it is. First few times in Sport Mode it seemed like it was always the Japanese but mostly because the lobbies are nearly always more than half Japanese flags. Overall, different countries do seem to have different driving styles and racing philosophies, but I'd not go so far as to say any one country is any dirtier than any other.I haven't had this experience, at least not at my level. DR/Bs tend to do that sort of thing regardless of nationality. I tend to find that the Hong Kong drivers or my fellow Australians are more inclined to do that down in DR/C/D land.

Good one. Had a cotroen in my last race. That thing keeps good pace on worm tyres and must have excellent economy.I got my race! Some bumping in very minor racing incidents, for example slightly different apex speeds, but nothing to cause problems. Start dead last in 18th, no stop it in the citroen to 4th, and a CRB. Done. Beer drinking and TV time!![]()
Press "Race entry" - game says entry denied as you've not completed the circuit experience.
It's like they'll often prioritise the immediate risky pass when the door is closed than the easier clean pass a couple of corners later.
Bathurst, Group 4. My 3rd day in the Hills.
I have taken delivery of the GT4 F-Type. As it took longer than expected to make a livery for it, I had only 3 races to get once again whipped from the FWDs.
1. Race
Qualifying was terrible. Had Gyros German-Style in a Wirtshaus that evening and I could not even move my thumbs. As I tried to go trough the hills I bumbed every single wall PD has installed. So I was forced to start with my 2.15.3x time, produced by my Megane.
Started 11th, finished 12th. Uneventful race except for a Spanish guy in his Ferrari. Pushed me into the walls and I received a 4 sec penalty. Business as usual.
2. Race
Started to feel the Jaguar. Compared to the Aston Martin this one has nearly no understeer but felt a bit more agile than the Viper. Felt comfortable to come closer to the cars limit and I could improve my time with the Jag to 2.14.8 at the first qualifying lap. Was very unlucky with the next lap, as I had probably my Million-Dollar-Lap. Last corner I was 1.9 sec ahead of my time. And about 3 seconds before I could cross the line the race started...
Started 4th, 3 Megane in front and a Spanish Guy with an Lamborghini behind me in the grip. Race start, T1 I had already a Bull knocking at my bumber. Gave me a litle push, a bit of grass, bad traction. long straight and I was behind him at 5th with many scratches at the right after T2. That guy made many small mistakes in the next lap, but it´s Bathurst - you shall not pass! In the second lap of my pursuit the Lambo messed up Forrest´s Ellbow and I was able to cath him, theoretical. No, of course not. He shot straight into the my lane to block me, big bang and 7sec penalty for me. In the third lap I had a Megane trying to overtake on the outside of the Chase, touched me and dived into the grass. 4 sec penalty for me... FML, finished 11th.
3. Race
The Jaguar is awesome. I promise, I will never touch the Megane again at Bathrust. So much more fun with RWD! Was gifted with some sweet candy for my hard work (sitting in front of my TV and pushing some buttons) and improved my time to 2.14.2xx
As I was knocked down with the last race from SR S to SR B I guess I was lucky to find a slow lobby. Poleposition, another F-Type from good old England behind me. He had a hard time at Mountain Straight and Griffins Bend, as he had to battle a Megane. Could gain 2 seconds gap and finished first with 1 sec in the lead.
Next car will be the Mustang!
'Stang is the fastest RWD car for me. Slightly better than Jag then RCF. Still, my Megane time is near 1 full second faster.
****ing annoying. No logic to it as far as I can tell.
I ended up in the sand, yes, in 19th place, with the leader already 15 seconds up the road. I somehow managed to make my way up to 6th place by the end of the raceI'm guessing you ended up in the sand with at least 2 cars pinning yours up against the wall.
It’s astonishing how little racecraft and honor a lot of people showed.
...
They treat every lap like they are driving for their lives, bardging and nudging their way through the field like there’s no tomorrow. Respect? A foreign Word to them.
It's pretty bad. You are 100% correct that it's poor race craft. There's no thought in it at all. Like, if someone catches me because I am fuel saving, and they are not, why must they attempt a pass at the worst possible place on track? Why not wait for the main straight where the pass is easy? The time that may be lost following me for a lap is gained in the pits by saving some fuel.
