I might have been in that race as well. But everyone just shoved me off in the last turn and I ended up in last place before the race even started.
You were in the race, the glitched driver ended up finding a way to stay in front of me until he finally lost connection on the last lap right before the drop in.

I think laguna seca is going to have a couple of meta cars for qualifying but race will be what you manage tires in. Not seeing too many R8s in the race. I think I am going to bag the AMG next time and go for something else. It helps to be silky smooth, but even on my best clean runs I was really sketchy by lap 13. Can still pull out 1.26 lap time then, but one twitch away from binning it totally. What else is better on tires besides the 4C?

WRX? Supra?
The Lexus was very smooth and tires got me 1:24 to 1:25 from beginning to end. Didn't see but one other Lexus in eight races this morning. Odd......

43.3 now, loving this combo! :)

Edit: 42.6, You can just drive right over the chicane at the end.

Edit 2: Would have just had a 41.5 but I took a smidge too much chicane. It’s there though. :)

Edit 3: 42.0 now. Great Laps by @suprajef @Groundfish and @Dairyworker !! Guy in first place is a full second ahead of 2nd, that seems odd.

Edit 4: Hmm, slow evening for a Monday?

Down to a 41.7 now, still a few small fudges in there, might be able to get it close to 41.0 on a lucky lap.

Did my first race at Laguna without qualifying hoping for some good battles; but I went 17th -> 3rd mostly from people just binning themselves missing breaking points or going off into the sand on corner exits. Spent a couple laps getting bumped around by a jerk anytime I went for a pass so I just backed off and waited, eventually they spun and I went by... Hopefully this is just a monday problem and people will figure the track out by the weekend.

Just got my first lap in on Race A, I like it!! This is gonna be a fun race this week. :)

Currently at 45.7

Yes you're right.
At the end I am on the way to care only for race A.
Race C is fun, but I drove it three times, but after a few laps I been alone up to the end. It is boring. So Race A is wonderful with 5 cars and a small gap for the win!

I got 1 race in at Laguna seca last night and came up from 17th to 6th with a 24.4 on lap 10 or 11 the best I managed once I had a lap clear of cars. In what is turning into my go to gr3 car lately the Beetle. It's Really good on tyres although I wore the fronts down pretty bad due to switching BB to the front because the back end was getting wild into a couple of corners. They lasted well enough though and I picked positions U towards the end with a few mid engine cars having spins

Didn't like Race C this afternoon. The DR A and B sessions I started in were mostly processions with passes only happening when someone got it wrong. Enjoyed quali practice alone more than racing with others

Because I didn't have anything better to do, I got back into the daily racing yesterday. I chose the Mustang for the Group 3 race at Laguna Seca, and overall the racing was pretty good. There were a few crazy moments at the start of the each race but it eventually settled down. My first race was rather spread out, as the two leaders were way out in front. I went from 10th to 5th in that one. I started third for the next race, but only ended up 4th as I didn't have the pace in the later stages. I may choose another car today to see if the tyre wear is any better.

Wow...what a good evening!!
Race A is brilliant!! Love it. 23k DR to 27k while 4 races. This pretty one after a divebomb in first lap to P5.

At the end I tried to qualify better! And I got it! Place 119 in EMEA region. Think the pole position can be a place to be!
Good night everbody and Merry Christmas!

Same results in my eight races this morning. The Lexus was money for me but just waited for drivers to clip the edge or brake too late. Good fun today on C.

Does this game simulate marble when you go off the racing line? I've had a few occasions where the car just struggled to get around the corner after going a little bit wide. I lost over a second in one lap alone when I got two corners wrong. Has game been like this the entire time? I've never felt such a drastic loss in grip after missing an apex.

That's how it seemed to me. Get off line a little and you really needed to crawl around the corner to stay on the track. Grip at the edge was drastically reduced. Taking the same line during qualifying didn't have that issue and you could see the chunks of rubber accumulating off line.

Definitely think its there. My line on the left hander after the corkscrew takes me right out the the right hand side of the track before turn in. As the race developed I noticed marbles as a texture on that part of the track. The car felt less sure of itself on turn in and a mild slide but no outlandish loss of grip that says 'yeah you're in the marbles'. From then on I tried positioning the car in the middle of the track and definitely had more confidence.

I don't know if I'd say its a realistic representation of marbles, but I think it's there even if its in a diminished capacity.

Boy oh boy I tell you what the dirty air effect is there though.

Wow the things you can find on Youtube.

Finally the time had come: On 12 May 1984 the new Grand-Prix track of the Nürburgring was opened with an inaugural race. To attract Formula 1 back to the Eifel, the then 4.5 kilometre Grand-Prix circuit was built between 1981 and 1984, and was extended in 2001 by the "Mercedes Arena" section to its present length of 5.148 kilometres. A new track with big run-out areas, safety fences or with a dense network of safety roads. In 2003 the new section „Mercedes Arena“ was built.

In the opening race nobody else than the current Formula 1 drivers were the participants. However, none was sitting in the cockpit of his open-wheelers, but all riders lapped the circuit in brand new Mercedes 2.3-16V's that had been modified for the race. In the end it was a then relatively unknown Ayrton Senna, who was able to prevail against his fellow drivers. Among the competitors were names like Niki Lauda, Keke Rosberg, Alain Prost, John Watson or Stirling Moss.

🤬:censored:Sausage curbs!!! Tried another race this afternoon, wasn't too bad except for going wide once and my tendency to magnetically hit the sausage curbs. Even when I swore I was well clear I would get the bump or bounce. Good for losing up to a second a lap on those things.
On the other hand the beetle was definitely quick, but a bit unstable for me. Took the 911 out for a few hot laps and it definitely seems a beast for that. Had multiple laps down close to my best but couldn't string it together. Optimum listed at an eye blistering 1.22.2, which would put me in horrible territory if I get it. I can't back that up on a race:lol:
Still enjoying laguna seca anyway. If Santa comes early tonight I might get to test out a race A.

After the fun driving that Mazda last week, I'm not really feeling the races this week. Haven't touched the mountain since I suck there. Did a handfull of laps in the GTI...way too slow, and I hate FWD, but I may have to try a race since I'm hearing its fun. Did a couple of races at Laguna. Tough rooms. Last race I'm in a A-A+ room and my best time put me 16th of 17 with a 24.1 in the beetle. Stayed semi-consistant to finish 11th, but had the slowest fast lap by almost 2 seconds, as I was running 26's and 27's mostly. Might have to give the 911 a go.

Maybe tomorrow I'll run the tuned RX7 at RBR and see how she goes, just for fun.

Edit: BTW. Congrats to @Pigems for the fine run at NGP in the GTI. I hope your time holds. This time around I was chasing YOUR ghost to get up to speed.

What the heck, man? The Slopra wasn't doing anything in this last race. It was hardly outdragging the Slophy behind me.

Car wouldn't turn at the start. Was sliding out at Hell Corner and I haven't even started the lap. Sloppy braking into T1. Slophy pulled alongside and I had no acceleration.

From the Cutting to the Dipper, horrible. I was slamming walls the whole length of that part of the track. Totally different to the car I was driving yesterday. I even paused to see if my controller settings were different. Car was way off in performance. Video shortly.
