I'll have to see what the fast players achieve if they try the Supra. Will it be the Slopra or not?

Well it was for me. I couldn't get anywhere near your times. My best Gr4 time for Bathurst is 2s slower than your Supra time. My Supra time is about 3s slower again . I see what you mean about Skylkine. If you don't brake in a dead strait line it rotates into the wall :nervous:.

On debut! Must be the first Slopra GR.4 win.

To finish first, first you must finish.

Okay, for real. It's about same speed as a Mustang. I got the lead after the Megane got a 1.5 for wall touch. The RC F ran wide, last lap, at The Cutting. Versus the RC F in a tow and Megane, they were catching me at the braking point of Conrod.

That's it. Braking, I couldn't believe I much distance I was gaining in the two leaders. Cornering is about even through Sulman-Reid park.
Forests Elbow can be taken so tight, it's really good to make up time.

Bathurst is a power track for sure. Stick with what you feel is your comfort, because I think many will struggle, if they haven't driven the Supra much. I clocked over 1800kms.

The debate is on for race C. Last 2 laps on a no stop were torture on my tires in the AMG, but the people who pitted weren't really any faster until then. Hmmmm.

After running a second race it is a track limit bonanza. Got pushed wide or blocked last second so had to evade several times during a battle with 1 person, got track limit penalties quite easily. But it could have all been avoided if I hadn't screwed up lap 1 leading to the reset drongo waiting until I was 18th from 6th to reset me. Right after I had driven back on to track myself in 12th.:banghead::banghead:
Oh well. Learn from my mistakes. LS reminds me a lot of Brands. Fast touchy turns, quick laps, 0.0 margin for error

I did Race C in the RC F '17. AMG cup. A 911 moved up from the back. Well placing while everyone else were tripping up and blocking, made it easy for that player.

I lost a bit of ground, but the AMGs looked out of control everywhere. They have super quick acceleration out of corners.

I was catching them back up as it looked like their tyres were shot. I did get the Corkscrew penalty 3 times. Had to finally nearly stop the car before the entry. Car felt better as tyres were wearing. Caught up to a struggling C7 at the end.

Started 16th. Finished 12th. Not a fun race with pretty much no places to pass

I figured to take advantage of Monday Madness. New week, new track. I know I'll be poorly matched because Typically you get very few DR/D's entering Race C, and the new track may make a few shy away this week. The bonus races in @Pigems lobby I think will be helpful. I have my braking points. They may not be optimal, but they keep me on the track. I'm guessing a lot of people will be going off.

Any tips for C guys? Is the C7 fine?
The 458 is strong here, just doing some dailies on my STR Account...so far a 4th and a 6th Place despite starting 9th and been spun out once
Edit: The races were generally very clean and respectful, in Dr.A+Sr.99 Lobbies, People are very patient and obviously aware of the newly implemented Penalty System. I didn’t see any stupid moves.
Doesn’t mean that small mistakes didn’t happen but nothing intentionally.
Could be a fun week racing in the Sunshine State :)

I went c to b a few times before it stuck at b
Huge change huge. At B often people have speed but poor racecraft/control, plus low b to high b is a huge difference again.
Mid pack B is very tough to get used to racecraft wise very tough.
My first b race I was seriously like this is impossible, almost didn’t want to try after that, just kept plugging away...
I think a lot of that really formed up how I tend to race.
Are you on @Pigems or my friends list?
I’d share up a race replay or two showing the hug inside curb survival technique for Tsukuba lol.
I never see people run it the way I do, maybe once or twice but it’s not common...
I hug the curb all the way through t1.
The biggest problem for me is that I really are a DR D, it's just this one race have been so good to me that I rose from DR D to DR B in a week, in this race only. My curves is a straight spike. That does not bode well for this week :)

Edit: I got @Pigems and a lot other fast people on my list. Not you I think though.

Just raced my last race of the week. Been racing the RX7 with a really fun (read loose) tune that got me down to a 1:00.1. Finished the week with 8 wins, 6 seconds and a few 3rds. Finished at or ahead of my Q position in every race but one, and that one was the only one off the podium. All of my 2nd place finishes were behind the #9 in my region, and he was running 59.8 when in the clear. My best race lap was a 1:00.117 and my best race time was 7:07.5... 3 seconds behind mr. #9. Lots of sliding around, having a blast. My second to last race (finished 3rd) was him (pole 59.4xx) and another guy .001 ahead in Q, and there was a bit of bumping, lots of tire smoke, some side by side sideways action, and a FL of 59.8 and my best 1:00.1 even with all the playing. I'll have to post some video if I can figure out how.

I hope I get to race this car, with this tune again. I bet it would be a blast at RBR, since oversteering cars seem to go well there.

Edit: Though I think of myself as a DR-B driver, this combo, and all the wins and podiums, have put me close to 40k points and solidly into A. We'll see how long it lasts.

I used your version of the P tune this week. Thanks for posting it! It was by far my best qualifying week. I was in a lot of lobbies with that guy as well... he ended up inviting a few of us into Party chat to share his tune, but I never had time to try it.

It’s probably for the best this week that I’ll be out of town. I ran maybe 10ish laps in the Megane yesterday at Bathurst, and I cannot put it together. I might not even bother qualifying.

Just a couple cars went off, but from what was happening with the 5 AMGs all bunched up, was probably frustration. If everyone are equal, just let it be.

Edit: Every time I finish ahead of a Megane starting behind me, an angel gets its wings.
It gets a halo if I pass one! Passed one at "Hell" Corner(check out my finish time :nervous: ) for 3rd place! Fancy that.

could someone be kind enough to explain to me how brake balance affects understeer and oversteer. where would you set the bb to counter understeer and oversteer. thanks in advance

What is the meta car on Laguna Seca?

Been yesterday in a lobby. Drove the Supra, feels good. The winner drove a Porsche and the second a Mercedes GT.
Supra is very good with the gears, I think.

Race A and C is interesting for me.

Looks like most will go with the Porsche.
The Lobbies I have been in so far were swarmed with them.

Has any one done any testing with the new Supra? I spent time throwing my usual Bathurst livery at it for tomorrow. I'd hate to think it turned out to be a POS .

I was going to give you my opinion, but it looks like you won't need it.

Race A is fun. Slow, but fun as hell. Also this will finally give me a chance to learn this track better, i suck at it lol have not tried the other two yet, but i most likely will at some point this week. Just doing some laps in the golf with my coffee, then going to work early so i can finish early. No one else there today so i don't need to wait for anyone to finish before i can do my work yay!

Bah Humbug, happy monday :grumpy:

I tried A too. It is very fun!

It kind of depends. If you are braking in a straight line and coasting through corners then brake balance to the front (-) will give you shorter brake distance and sharper turn in. If you trail brake it's wiser to set it to +.

Edit: the understeer you get most here is from getting on the loud pedal too soon or too hard. It will scrub over the front wheels then. Try getting on the gas at or after apex

Tried the R8 (the qualifying meta) for Race C and found out the hard way that the tyre wear is pretty brutal on that thing. Very fast for the first half of the race, almost impossible to control for the second half.

It's not a car I have aoad of experience with so it could just have been me.

Might give the 4C a go next.

Yeah I had a similar issue with the NSX, was sliding a lot, my last race I tried to conserve the rears trying to avoid slides etc and it did help come the end.

My humble advice is to always set the bb all the way to the front, as far as tyre wear is involved. Generally in all MR Cars.
For Qualyfying set whatever you feel most comfortable

similar issue with the NSX
Same as above, try it :D
