Shortshift

I shift halfway through the RPM bar no matter my fuel map. On the M4 you can go as far as 1/3rd or 1/4th the RPM bar and still not lose significant amounts of time. Take corners one gear high except for really slow turns where your RPM drops really low.
It's also quite advantageous to have a car in front of you. If you think you can keep up with them, do so but no overtaking

a personal preference that I do in these situations is I set-up a better exit than usual. What happens is I can put my fuel map 1-2 levels higher than usual since the additional speed + slipstream can allow me to stick behind them with less fuel
