Gr.2 at Suzuka is good for me, although it's been done too much. At least some of the trouble makers will go off track and I can easily outdrive most of them with this combo anyway.

The other two races are race long bashing around and SR-/Dr reset combos for certain though.

Next weeks races are up. Looks like a week off for me.
N300 5 laps at Tsukuba
Gr4 4 laps at Red Bull Ring
Gr2 10 laps at Suzuka with RM tires.
Nope nope nope
The Gr. 2 cars have been much friendlier to drive since the handling update, so I might give Race C a chance, especially with RM tires. I wonder if Race B is gonna be an RCZ Cup again after the last BoP change.

Eek! My rough race lost me 26 Sr last night! Biggest SR drop in single race ever for me I think... and lowest I’ve been in a very long time.

Hope same thing can occur as the other day...
Get some good starting positions on race B in SR - A, and get out early and clear of traffic!

Or this could go very wrong! Goodluck

I guess PD addressed the previous 'issue' by reducing laps from 13 to 10. Last time after finishing a race, there was no time to enter the next, lol. So one race per hour with a 30 min wait.

Tyre wear and fuel is different too. Tyres: x13 > x8, Fuel: x3 > x2.

I can't say I'm particularly excited for next week's races. Probably Race C only.

Second DR reset in 2 years. DR down to 15K from about 35K. Guess my only mistake was racing race A. Where getting punted at the dock section, you still get a penalty for hitting the barrier as well as any cars you hit on the way to the barrier.

But like a clown, I kept racing, didn't even keep track of my SR. till it was too late. Oh well, don't think I'll bother trying to get back to DR A. Just race and see where the carnage takes me.

Unfortunately this seems to be my reward for trying to keep as clean as I could, always hugging the inside and giving people space.... Oh well‍

Deserve a medal for this and the race before where I tail a guy for 3 laps and dont lunge even once. My reward was a loss of sr across 5 races for being pinballed, you can see how well behaved I am here.

For the nerds, I am losing time from the right after the cutting until the second of the fast left handers (sulman park for the aussies). From mcphillamy (last of the fast lefts) through until forest's elbow I gain it all back, I'm a gun into the dipper. But I gotta find a way to get the time back where I struggle, losing a solid half second.

For this race, took 2.5 laps setting him up, had a great high line through forest's elbow and muffed it......giblet.

That section is all about commitment, you just gotta know your car will stick. Of course the AMG has inherent understeer that gets worse going uphill, so that might be part of why you're losing time.

Hi all! Haven't been racing, or here, much in the last couple weeks, but I ran some laps in the Gretty Z, and it's right up my alley. I love cars that you can drive loose and still go fast. The races can be an SR killer, but as a DR-A driver (for now), and a pretty good Q time, I've found that if i can make it through the first half lap in the top 3, I usually have a good race with the other A drivers. Some really good races with clean passes, and a bunch of wins and podiums. Had a 7:12.0 race time in one race that I won by 8 seconds. The best races, with clean battles, usually have times around 7:15 or so. Got one guy that beat me twice yesterday, saw him today, and he did it again, by .2 seconds. Got him in the hairpin, but I was a bit hot and he undercut. I'll get him next time!

Weird you say that as my usual favourite, the merc, feels too tight. So tried a race in the viper, I can qualy with it but in the race......no.....too much sliding. Aontried the mustang and boom, I trim 3 tenths off my qualy lap and it is good to race with, more turn in than the merc.

It just takes practice. Over the 2 years I've been playing, the Viper was once too loose for me with the Mustang being the sweet spot. Now look at the way I describe them. Mustang too tight, Viper just right. Sure, some handling tweaks by PD during that time, but you keep practising. Now, you can tell when PD makes those changes & can adjust to them...or use another car that feels the way you like to drive.

In other words, it's acting like a typical American muscle car... which is as it should be :p.

According to most Hollywood movies, the car should be built with one axle 6 inches toward one side because it's in permanent drift.

I haven't run a Gr. 2 in a long time & didn't even pay attention that they had been through a handling adjustment. Might be worth a shot next week. If race B was Gr. 3, I'd be on board.

More likely a Viper cup since RBR is three drag races per lap and the Viper has had a serious BoP buff.

So, you're saying that I can just keep my weapon of choice warmed up for next week? :sly:

Daily races just teasing me here...

Soo close to A!!!

I swore that if I got my main account to DR A, I would retire it. Halfway there. :p

Lol Race - B

Pole guy lags out on start, so the whole grid is bumper to bumper - not moving - not even around the turn, before the line! (This is my first race to try to recover my SR btw... -_-)

So didn’t go well lol! Way back with a penalty lap1. Fought back and got blocked by someone going slow after penalty on the straight, last lap! Really frustrating and almost cost us and the guy behind to crash. Guy behind had been clean all race, and we made it through but I lost a spot. Nothing terrible I guess but not worth it for that guy to block and wreck us all.

Next race got taken out hard T2, even though I let him pass before the turn, and gave him the space, I think he just wiffed it, said sorry after.

...but... no penalty! And clean race! So yay!
But it stuck me way back with a lot of people who were pretty slow, which is tricky trying to stay super clean lol! Fought back though for an ok finish!

Man this is going to be a fight! Atleast getting a few good battles out of it.

So, after I mentioned how good the BoP is at Sardegna... ran the Race C using my fresh new ALT account, in the Toyota 86 I got as the first daily reward car for that account... and it was agonizingly slow! Scrapped my way to a 7th behind a Viper that I could pace but not gain on... but won't bother trying that one again!

But was fun running a few in the Fugu Z... got a win and a couple of seconds in mixed rooms, last one in a really fun battle where we finished within feet of each other.

Have to admit, it's a bit cathartic to race against mostly slower grids and without caring about damaging your ranking...

(oh, and was glad to prove I stink at Bathurst without messing up my primary account to do so... boy, I stink there! Staying away from it the rest of the week.)

Been having fun testing how the Gr.4 BoP impacts my car choice/driving style. So far, my fastest times have been with the RCZ and Megane. All of the FR cars run about 2 seconds slower... having a very hard time getting slow in/fast out with them. Think the FF cars cover up my corner entry/exit mistakes better at the expense of some wheel spin on exit. Their light weight also makes them easy to brake late and throw into corners. Want to like the Viper but feel like I am fighting it the entire time.

Even though no tyre wear, the GT-Rs seem quick, Viper felt quick, C7 felt good.

I'd guess the FF cars will still be quick, but the second half of RBR is good for handling. Last time there, I was able to keep up using the Supra. Stronger FR & MR cars + GT-R should trump the RC Z. Hopefully...

Well I wrapped up a few more races in B starting and finishing around P6.

All great races and a lot of fun, felt good! Just hard racing from me, giving a few spots when safer, and in a few clean packs.

Good to have a stream of “clean” races here lol!

I like the Atenza here. I find it easy to stay tight and creative with it, while pushing. But me and 2nd gear don’t get along, so me being careful promotes good driving I find!

Usually run the Atenza when there are few overtaking areas I find as well, and I have to be fancy in traffic or when apply pressure, especially in bad situations

Goodluck! Hope to catch you out there
