Race A, sorry I didn’t clarify,For what race / car?

how much SR/DR do you lose exactly when you -rage- quit a race? I've been running race C only and i've been amazed by the amount of rage quitting in the very first lap , after usually the 1st incident , i assume you dont lose much
Zero penalties, and did not get crb. SR gain was 21 (19->40).
Second race: I did exactly the same thing, and SR gain was 13.

Revenge is a great motivator, somebody had taken my FL by yeeting the chicane (they had a big penalty the next lap), the final lap was the best I have driven all week to steal it back. This might be useful to people trying to put in a qualifying lap, it's old tyres and heavy fuel but gears, etc should be the same:
The track limits at Tertre Rouge are a bit unusual, you have to keep 2 tyres on the curb until it ends then the white line becomes the limit, I think that transition is causing the track limit problems. Everywhere else 2 wheels inside the white line seems about right.
At Mulsanne Corner there are keep right arrows painted on the road, the braking point is just at the last one of those before the right handed kink, if you're in the slipstream brake a bit earlier so you don't make yourself look like a tit.

I wonder if that could be the crown on the road causing the car to bottom out in the middle, the Nissan is on the rev limiter anyway so can't go much quicker, I keep to the middle because the small signs at the chicanes cost you speed if you're not paying attention. That is what I call a flying lap. Now to figure out how people are getting 3:03s.
On a side note I have found that hanging in the right hand lane after the first chicane spot on the straight seems to give you a mile or so at an extra mph. At least on my 962 and 787B. Tried it with both on qualifying laps.

Ahhhh life at race C. So there I was......
Turning onto the Mulsanne straight on the final lap, I was right behind the leader. I went a bit wide and got a 0.5 track limit penalty.
An LM55 went past me, which didn't really matter to. I got behind and tried to push him forward (hoping he'd fight with the leader). He freaked out and started brake checking me.
In fact, he did it so much that he got penalized for it. Then he really went nuts and blasted me at the next turn (I think it's the first time I ever got a 4 second penalty for being punted).
Post-race chat, I told him I was trying to help him.
He said he was reporting me (I ran and hid under my bed).![]()
Agreed. It was a pretty good one. 👍Wow that was a really well executed punt
Yeah, take plenty of points off for intelligence but you have to definitely give them credit for some pinpoint accuracy.Wow that was a really well executed punt
I wish I knew how to do video editing. I'd like to make a lap guide parody. Something more like how to be a D racer.
My advice would be something like this:
"See this spot right here? That's where most people brake. Screw that. Wait an extra second and you can get a nice bounce off of the wall".
"Sports tires have tread on them. Don't be afraid to go through the sand".
"The apex is wherever you think it is".
"The person behind you will be delighted to see your brake lights come on in unusual places".
"Never use traction control, especially for grid starts".
@Mistah_MCA think about it. 👍

Did it again this morning to a British driver. He thanked me after the race. So some people here in EMEA get it. Others just freak out.Had someone bump me down Mulsanne. Kept yelling for him to do it some more. We had to catch the group in front. He didn't hear my pleas. Road racers need to watch Nascar at Daytona or Talladega to learn that bumpdrafting helps both cars get up and go. As for the punt, never mess with someone named 'insane'. And your other penalty is listening to that mosquito for 25 minutes.
