I've altered my lines to see what keeps the right front from springboarding, but nope. Every lap is a gamble. Like watching a V8 Supercar launch at Surfers Paradise.
If I don't bounce the right front of my car on that curb, I don't feel like I took it correctly.
Two circuits/races to avoid:
Monza - any class
Daily Race A (despite it being great fun)
There have been some fine Race A combos. Starting up front helps a ton. Thinking back to the Clio V6/Goodwood week.
Hood cam. I really miss having a rear view mirror but when I use bumper cam I find it difficult to pick out brake markers when you're right behind someone. I like the visual reference of exactly where the car is too.
You've pretty much described a reason why I choose chase cam.
I can see what the Viper driver was saying. You did squeeze him out by moving right during that straight. If you stayed left, there would be no argument. On the other hand, if I was the Viper and saw that I was getting squeezed out, I would have backed off a bit.
Edit: It is his fault, not defending that.
If I got bumped, I'd probably squeeze the other car a bit to show my displeasure. Any driver worth their salt knows that you get either reduced speed side-by-side racing in the esses or higher speed single file through that section. Same goes for the CoD. But, since the Viper wanted to keep his speed through that corner, I'd feel no remorse for them sliding off the track & for taking me out because they were a no talent hack, I'd punt them for the entire remainder of the race.
