No one with a DR below A should be using the 95, it's way too loose and slower than the GT3 unless you are an absolute gun driver.

T1 is ridiculous, with the game somehow apportioning blame to the person who gets hit, i lost 70 SR points yesterday by being torpedoed into T1. It's massively annoying, I take narrow lines, wide lines, brake early, brake late ..... but there's always 5 or so guys at the back of the grid that have NO IDEA where the brake pint is.

Laguna Seca is silly with meta... 4 out of 16 cars *aren't* TTs...

And of those, 2 are Sciroccos. :boggled: We get it PD, FF cars are outclassed by the other cars in the Gr. 4 class. But the RWD cars feel neutered to the point that they just shouldn't be in the game. What a shame.

In reality, I had a really good start in several races at LS, but I keep making bonehead mistakes & spin my car out. That the real reason FF cars dominate. You have to defy the laws of physics to spin one out.

Gr.4 races would be more interesting by banning FFs and rotating between MR, FR etc. As someone that enjoys driving FF cars, even I'm becoming tired of TT Cup grids every week.

Race A while fun is Wreckfest-lite from my experience on EMEA. I was swiped into the barrier every race both maliciously and by people who can't control the '95. Probably a week of other games since no FIA.
The problem is, it's like last week. People stayed using the TT until others found using cars like the F-Type, Genesis, Viper and GT-R were winning races.

Even though it's about, "I shouldn't have to", I think it people do qualify with the META, still run your comfortable car in the race.
People tired of the TT, use the Megane. I'm biased because, the Megane and Scirocco are only FFs I've spent most time with.

Remember when the Megane was the go to for Bathurst? Everywhere els, it's left in the garage. I think people sleep on this car today. I'm pulling away from TTs the whole lap. It's quick and fast.

RCZ and a Megane actually for this race, the other two were me (Vette) and some guy in a Viper, so 14/16 were FF cars.

If cars were actually balanced we'd see a mix of cars and drivetrains on the boards and in races, with slight biases based on the track type favouring either good handling or raw power so on Monza for example beefy FR cars would be more prevalent but on e.g. Brands Hatch you'd see more MR.

Last week was a Race C with tyre wear and a weak point of an FF. This week is a race without tyre wear, FFs remain predominant and win races so not really a similar comparison.

This is the ideal but I think many people run whatever's on the leaderboards, qualify and race even if they're uncomfortable driving it.

I'd like to see a race for a change that restricts to a particular drivetrain similar to the FF-only Race As of the past.

No prices have risen sharply and I am concerned the worse may yet be to come economy wise. I dunno, seems an odd time to drop 6 figures on a car.

Those using DS4, drop your sensitivity to 0, assuming you normally run it at 7 like I do. The GT3 really is beautiful to drive.

I'll maybe give that a go, ta. It surely can't be any worse than how I usually do with the Porsches ( only car I've ever crashed in real life was a Porsche :banghead: )

That's the relevance of my post. Some assume just because those cars a E in the leaderboard nothing else is competitive. If some try a bit, they can find alternatives.

And Big Willow back in March! When the meta turns out to be a car I like then I’ll use it, otherwise I try to pass on it.

I remember that week. I couldn't get a comfortable QT & starting spot. But when I saw the aliens running the Pug VGT, I said "what the hell". It's the closest I've ever gotten. But it was a good week in daily races for me. Oddly, it was one of the only times I went META.

I was in a Race A a little earlier. A German started p3 I was P6. After T1 he was P1 (I would call it a dive, but...), then he ran himself off at the 90° leading to the church straight.
Anyways, we had a little contact a few times during the race and in post chat he wrote "Resident_Knievel, OK!".
I read that as if he was displeased with my racing so I checked the replay.
I think he was fast but lacked race craft. Will upload the replay from both mine and his viewpoint, then you can decide. Film at eleven!

I did some crappy qualifying laps for Race A but ended up starting near the front in a few races. Then I switched from a DS4 to a T150 without changing any settings. My knees hit the table every time I push the pedals (Triumph Spitfire memories) and I forgot the wheel was bolted down as I was leaning into the corners. Force feedback was all the way up. Brings back memories of how the steering wheel gets ripped out of your hands when your LF tire climbs up the back of the car in front of you. I quickly went from B/A to D/E.

Well dont think il be playing gt sport for a week. Daily race A pile up into first corner from people who didn't anticipate there braking distance. And then just people sliding everywhere all race into you etc. Sr went from high B to a D in 2 races ohhh well see whats in store for next week I suppose.

Morning! So as I said yesterday I love gr1 and I love Autopolis:) Did four races, PP(I didnt win that one beacause decided to pit for fresh tyres to get FL, P2 and P3 were 10s behind so I thought I can make it... I didnt, they passed me just in the braking zone for t1, then P4 came and pushed me off track, I guess its lesson for me) two times started from P2, also finished P2(CRB for these 2) and one where I started P8, but lobby was just crazy... Some top EMEA players, finished 10th, but it felt like a win for me:)
At the end of the day I got +3k DR, SR back to S:) great combo if you got luck to be matched with clean drivers.
Was using TS050, my QT is 1,32.240

How fast are you in the race and what sort of laps times are others doing?

From the few races I've done I feel a bit off but maybe it's just this track I think and the dirty air too.

Not that it matters much as I'm running on my new USA account for now.

I had one unfortunate race this morning where I made a pretty big mistake on Lap 1, and was pushed off the circuit three times while trying to work my way back through the pack. I let the frustration get to me and got a revenge punt in before quitting.

Needless to say, my SR dropped down to B, so I started the next two races on pole and won handily. Keep in mind that I'm normally rated A/S and my average (race) lap-time in Daily Race C is around 1:34.1. In those two races at the lower level, no one was getting close to that time or even driving with the same consistency.

So after the second race, the driver who finished P2–26 seconds behind me–said the following. I didn't have time to translate it before responding so I could only assume what they were saying exactly. I think it's more fun if you read it first without translating it and try to guess what they're were on about:

"es imposible ese ritmo"

"What?"

"ya te a denuncio a Sony"

"por usar programa de pc antidesgaste de tires"

"susioooooo tramposo"

"I only used hard"

This is a normal pace in the higher lobbies"

"yo cambie tires en pits y me siguias aumentando diferencia"

Hating A and B this week - so I thought I'd give Race C a try. I noticed several of my friends were using the TS050 so I bought that, and discovered it was easier for me to drive than the McLaren and Audis I tried. Qualified 8th with a 1:35.6 (I'm C/S at the moment) and was behind a few B drivers, with two A guys at the front.

After a dramatic first two corners I was 2nd! I stayed there for 6 laps til I ran wide and got overtaken and started sliding around. P2 was pulling away but I had a 16 second gap to 4th place so I thought I'd do a quick pit stop - and promptly crashed in to the pit entry:banghead: Managed to get back to 5th after some ahead got a bit dirty.

I tried qualifying again, but with traction control at zero, and I managed a 1:33.6! Actually can't feel much difference in driveability between TC at 0 or 2, but I do find it quicker. Might be a different story in a race with worn tyres though.

Man I am 6 races with the GT3 for 4 wins and 2 seconds. Granted my SR is trash but still, hell of a ratio.

In my opinion, while the wins feel good, it's almost pointless if the cronies out there crash your SR to the point of being reset. To me, if a driver has a ton of wins but no DR points to speak of, they aren't playing to be good. They are playing to brag that they have 1,000,000 race wins....which nobody cares about.

Here is the movie:
You be the judge. I did turn in on him once on lap 2,missed he came up, bit reversed as soon as I noticed he was there.

Well, I guess it is pretty common to assume someone who is much quicker than you is cheating.

Player wasn't by any chance... someone who recently posted on this forum?

Searching their PSN ID didn't turn up anything here.

Grip hack!!:cheers::gtpflag:

This is the second time someone someone has accused me of cheating, specifically in relation to grip/tyre wear. Although this person specifically accused me of using a "pc program."

He got a great pass on you. You got one back. Then I think he decided it was game on. Went for it early, probably confident on that turn again. Got too much grass.

Good competitive racing. You deserved to finish ahead in my opinion.
