Damn shame when my strategy for Race B is to move to pit wall, wait for T1 mash ups and just cruise on by. Started 14th both races and finished 7th both races.

How is that G29 wheel?
Awesome, I come from a Logitech MOMO racing wheel, which has less then 360 degrees steering and isn't compatible with the PS4. The G29 has 900 degrees steering so that's a big plus, and the pedals feel great too, I can easily let my foot rest on the braking pedal without braking. Couldn't do that with the MOMO, it has too less resistance. I also like the fact that you really have to push pretty hard for full braking, I've heard people that don't like that but imo it makes the pedal feel realistic.
But I can't compare it to any other racing wheel cause I've never tried other wheels, but I'm super happy with my G29, it just works great in GT Sport.
Also heard some people complain about a FFB-deadzone in the center, but that's only when you're not in a race, during races you won't notice a deadzone at all.

I really had fun with the 500 race. That long winding straight can make a difference in lap times, if you time it right you can easily hit 1:09. Looking forward to more races like this.

It's rare that I get to race on a work night, but I just can't resist today's Race B.

2 hours from now I'll be tearing up Dragon Trail with my Lancer and 911, can't wait. Might even try out the Genesis and the RC-F.

Hope to see some of you awesome people on the track, and remember, nobody touch me!
Dragon Tail last night was so good, I did three qualifying laps so spent most of the time starting at the back of the grid. But it made it even more fun. I completed about 6 races last night and regularly managed to get into the top 3 or 4, some great battles along the way.

Todays races:

Race A - One Make - Fiat 500F '68 - Monza (No chicanes) - 3 laps - Standing start
Race B - Gr. 2 - Lago Maggiore GP - 5 laps - Rolling start
Race C - Gr. 4 - Blue Moon Bay Infield A - 15 laps - 7x Fuel / 8x Tires - Rolling start
Thank you for that. But keep in mind that we made a Daily Races Calendar with the whole week predictions 👍

So.. it looked to you like a clean race?? Not much confusion nor quarrels on track??

Well I will be on for Monza no chicanes with the Fiat 500 today as it sounds a fun race and I think I have got to grips with driving the car through the corners now.

?? "I have got to grips with driving the car through the corners now" ???? Did´nt get that one.. what do you mean??

Tell me later on, how the race went.. .specially regarding SR Carnage...

Yesterday I also raced with Fiat 500 and it was a rewarding race/track... got my best time almost on the top 30 Europe.. several Poles...

1:09?! How the hell!

It's so cute to see the pitlane full of these teeny weenies!

Okay 1:09.7 is my best, one-makes are the only place I can close to at least top 20 lap times!

Yes was quite clean, got my 6th consecutive clean races too. Slow bumps and crashes usually happen mid-pack, I'm lucky to place top 3 lap times.

The problem for me was the car's turning ability.

When I was driving into a corner I couldn't keep the car from oversterring/understeering or ending up with wheel spin so I had to drive it very slowly round the corners and I just simply couldn't get any decent speed out of it against the other racers and so I ended up crawling round in last place and loosing DR/SR.

I shall see how I do with it today on Monza.

Brake Balance , Wheel setup and adapting to correct curve in and out lines... .... that will take some time to get the correct ones... but it´s worth it (time lost)

Would you be so kind and tell us what brake balance seems better than 0, and what do you mean by wheel setup?

I'm just waiting for them to decide to do the 500 at Bathurst. It would be a repeat of the Abarths there a couple of years ago

Put it on LeMans without chicanes, then I can make a cup of tea on the straight using an elastic on the accelerator :)
One lap Nordschleife could be fun with that toy car. At least there's more room to pass with those little toy cars.

well it happened. The chaos that was Dragon Trail last night got me demoted to SR-A.

Even though I won 2 out of 5 (maybe 6?) races last night, I still only managed to keep my DR relatively the same but got punted all over the track in a couple races which led to penalty after penalty.

It sure does suck getting penalized for people rear-ending me. Also when people spin out and lose control right in front of me, and I can't avoid tapping them on their way off the track even though I try....still penalized harshly.

It also sucks when somebody with a bad signal is lagging all over the track and gives everyone around them penalties, but doesn't get any themselves.

In one of my races, I got a clean race bonus, but lost a bunch of SR because of people hitting me from all angles. Red "S" at the end. How does that work?

Oh the joys of DR-A. Penalties were never this bad in DR-B. Oh well, I'll probably be visiting DR-B again soon if it keeps up this way.

Either way, I had loads of fun and did get some pretty clean races in the lower SR lobbies, so it was worth it. I guess a few easy wins/podiums are in my future on my way back up to SR-S.

-1 to -3 as brake balance worked for me
- wheel settings refer to setting up real good the wheel you re using... mine is a csl elite ps4...
1st a correct maximum degree maximum turning... and for that track yesterday 900 to 1000 degrees rotation
The rest are special variables that are ajusted on the csl wheel... like dumping force... springs ... mostly...
On the game variables I have ffb sensivity at max ( 10) and controler sensivity at 0
And when exiting curves you must allways chose a wide curve using all the track width... or else... you ll spin... it also happened in some situations really fast turning.. that the car would.. flip... fall on its side... seeing the world turning around you is a strange feeling... and it happened to me on that track... more then once...

Doesn't GTS throw all steering degree settinga out of the window and just add in soft locks? For example, an MX-5 will have 900 degrees of rotation, but a Gr. 3 will only have 450. Sure you can turn the wheel more than 450, but it wouldn't really do anything. Steering wheel settings are also mostly down to preference, and doesn't necessarily make you faster

It.

It s a pitty they dont have the Abarth... that is a real good and nervous ride... I think it was in Gt6... and is on AC too

I dont Think so....
It makes a lot of difference with my csl... and its not just psicological... it even has a automatic setting... but once I get the right angle... the response from the wheel becomes different and much more adapted to the curves and my input to it...

Finished Race B. Very disappointed with myself :(. Qualified P7 in a mixed grid of DR/B and C.

The race was pretty clean, which was nice. I survived the first chicane. One guy went up the inside of me. I gave him enough room to hang himself :sly:. Placed me on the inside for the next corner, he went wide and through I went. I'm not used to making actual proper passes, so it was strange. I managed to get my NSX on song and worked my way to P4, making 2 actual passes along the way (as opposed to waiting for someone else to crash out). Coming out of the chicane on the 3rd lap I thought I was far enough around to stomp on the loud pedal, and ended up on the grass :dunce:. Waved good by to several cars while my tyres spun. Was making up ground and then on the next lap I catch some red on the corners before the final corner and nearly spun. I caught it, but not before ending on grass again :banghead:. Was not very happy :grumpy:. Finished P9 with no red dot.

SR still on 99, DR surprisingly up by 26pts. Was expecting it to go down a bit. The DR/C journey continues.

Ohh alright. Thanks for the info 👍
