After getting used to road rage on EU region, I gotta say, US one is a breeze to drive on.
Sure, small stuff here and there, but nothing like my experience in EU..

Partially why I play there if I want to have fun instead of EU :O the stiff competition on the latter is stress-inducing!

I'll pass on a pearl of wisdom I've garnered from many days of wading through posts and personal experience. A guaranteed formula for better results ...... "get gud" ;). Or use the strategy called "gaming" and knock your opponents off the track in such a way as to not get any penalty 👍.

I've had those races in the past in NA as well, start last end last, turned out my R2 trigger was broken and was only giving 95% throttle. It seemed to work yet it didn't. It took me 5 races of scratching my head to figure out what was wrong. How did I get so bad at the game over night :mad: Why you all faster, it's no fair!

Now I'm always paranoid, checking the throttle gauge every race, full power, is it, is there a pixel missing, argh.

I had this problem with my braking pedal. It was flickering on and off when I wasn’t pressing it.
I fixed it myself, but now I’m always looking at the input.

Talk of the devil. I was suspecting foul play for a couple days already and it is flickering between full throttle and 95% again. If I don't squeeze it hard on one side it even sticks at 60% grrr. That's the 3rd controller with a worn out R2 trigger, build quality of DS4 is shockingly bad.

I found one that seems to work, finished +2 laps behind while going through controllers :banghead: I wish there was a setting to calibrate, set dead zones and maximum etc. So stupid. Soon I'll be using x to accelerate :banghead:
 
Spent a lot of time trying to get the lap time down but only had the courage to race A twice today.

First race I knew I wasn't ready. I was right. Spun out on the last lap.

Second race matchmaking was very kind. Started 5th +1 disconnect before the race, so 4th. Decent start. Decent pace. But just sloppy enough to let 2 driver by. Finished 6th.

Both races were so fun though. Happy racing.

I’ve been trying to do race B, I’ve just got disconnected 2 times in a row, at the exact same place.

Count down timer ends, it goes to the screen with the driver sitting on the floor in the garage, with the qualifying times and driver rankings listed.....then just disconnects back to the main Sport menu, where I have to wait 3 minutes to join a new 15 minute qualifying session.

Edit: just tried Race A, disconnected at the exact same point again.

Wtf is going on?

Edit 2: I can’t connect to online lobbies either. I get booted back to the main lobby before connecting to the room. What. The. Hell!? :mad:

Edit 3: restarted my PS4, I can connect to lobbies, waiting for quali to end to see if I can get in a sport mode race.

I liked Ace Combat on Dreamcast. Awesome game back then. I might have to watch a trailer for this new one.

Indeed, same here. Allways @DTG. In fact, it just happened again now, like 3m ago. Before that i had 4 races with no probs.

I've had a similar issue with my black controller; thankfully it was before I started doing daily races. That controller is no longer used.

I also got a lot of disco's last days but i don't lose dr. Is it between the 2 qualy screens you go off or at the second?

2 were in the 1 min to go screen and 4 were mid race so they all count

Wow, if you're going through DS4's like that you would probably be better off getting a wheel. Those things aren't cheap. Might save you money in the long run lol. And it's a hell of a lot more fun with a wheel. I was hooked when I got my first Driving Force wheel.

The Ace Combat hype is insane since it's been 11 years when Ace Combat 6 came out. I'm really hyped for Ace Combat 7 since I'll be able to fly my Su57, F14, and Gripen again! Back on topic, I'm liking this week's races aside from Gr.4, but I managed a solid 7th place today after losing so much pace in the esses at Suzuka against some meddling 911 RSRs.

wow suzuka was like ice skating at euro region, but I had fun
 
I likely won't play again until Tuesday night but have to say that Gardens last night was a fiasco, the South American drivers are almost all absolutely filthy, none seem capable of passing without pushing me off, it's ridiculous.

I managed to 'fix' it, this is the issue


I put a couple of layers of scotch tapes on the nipple on both R2 and L2 as the brakes were starting to go as well. However perhaps I did a bit too much as now the tiny range where the throttle is analog is right at the beginning, and it's 100% with only 40% of trigger movement. Which means it's very easy to accidentally give 100% gas mid corner :/ Open her up again.

I have no room for a wheel unfortunately. It's not just me that wears out the controllers, I have 2 kids as well and the controllers all from launch. Stuff isn't build to last anymore.

When will the races for next week be up... This week is dragging on.
 
Having re-gained some of my SR points with Race A yesterday, I decided to chase the Dragon again tonight. This was a very big mistake. I went with the Corvette this time. Couldn't beat my GTR time, so I was a bit off my pace, but my GTR qualy put me in P6 on a mixed grid of DR/B and C. about 4 people dropped off and I was promoted to P5... out of 10.

Race starts and it's a fiasco. I kept getting held up by the pack at the front, and in trying to avoid collisions, dropped speed from my crappy line and the pack behind me mobbed me. Multiple collisions and several orange SRs. I think what's going on with the penalty system is that they are no longer hiding collision SR deductions. A major collision you get a time penalty, but minor no time penalty but you actually are made aware that you have an SR penalty. I finished P6 I think.

Lost 300 DR and dropped from SR 96 to SR 82 :banghead:.

Tried to enter Race C, but got dumped back to the Sport Mode screen after the first matching screen with the Garage back ground.

Edit: Just tried entering Race C again.. and again sent back to Sport Mode screen !

Edit: Just tried to Enter Race A, same bloody thing!!!! Looks like no more sport mode for me tonight!

This has been happening way more often since the latest update. I ran about 12 races on Wednesday and I got disconnected from 2 of them to end my night, which rarely ever happens to me. Both happened as I was joining the room, right after I saw the other players who were joining, but before warm-up started. No DR or SR lost, just a waste of time. Also, every single race that I joined, even if I didn’t get disconnected, at least 2-5 other people did at the same point. It seemed like every single race started full, with 16, but only 10-12 people actually got to race each time. All of my races were at DT Gardens.

This was my experience all night and it's because of the change in penalties for side swiping, people charge in and use the side of your car as a brake and get a very minor or no penalty, they need to go back to how it was, gardens was a fiasco last night.
