The points are, if aids are helping them, then they will go for it. If a helicopter view will help them squeeze some miliseconds, then they will do it, and being competetive.Point being?
I think ASM / Counter Steer should be disabled and only left them with ABS = weak / 0 and with TC = 1/0I don't know because I don't use aids
Only ABS and sometimes TCS at 1 in some gr. 1 cars or some gr. 3 cars
Aids will slow them down in the long run. CSA will help mostly, but even that assist has its skill ceiling. Many top drivers previously reported they're slightly slower with that assistThe points are, if aids are helping them, then they will go for it. Im playing gts because taking a long hiatus from iRacing, so I experienced a lot of behaviors. Some people just racing for fun and dont care for DR, but for others, dip in 100 points will make their life miserable.
I'm completely with youI think ASM / Counter Steer should be disabled and only left them with ABS = weak / 0 and with TC = 1/0

CSA in itself should have been abolished in the first place, and even if PD doesn't I agree that it should be banished by DR B or so, but for the most part the other assists don't make you faster
I respect your opinion on driving aids, and I've heard many people saying the same thing about the unfairness of others using them.I think that....
when you get to the categories B A A + and S, all the aids automatically should be off ... I'll explain better ...
Up to category C, the player can use at his choice, all the aids he wants, but as soon as he arrives at category B and then at the high categories , the game automatically begins to disable the aids gradually, up to the S category, without any help for driving....you can use only ABS and TCS , but with the maximum setting at 1
I say this because, I'm in category A S, and looking at the replays, I find it absurd, and unfair, to see other players, use driving aids.
C'mon.....!!!!!!!
Are you in the higher categories?
Well done, now shows us how you're able to drive without any type of aids.
This is my thought
CSA has a really high skill ceiling. You can be an A+ and still rely on CSA to be faster- I was a prime example of that. I think any tier below a top driver, CSA will be able to help them out. This assist is ridiculous tbh, not sure why they haven't banned it from dailies like they did in the FiA racesI’m sure I’ve had this discussion before, the aliens might be slower with CSA on, but what about the tier below that? The DR:A drivers who rely on it to put in steady lap times. I fully agree it should be removed.
I agree, except for CSA. (I'm not well versed in football so pardon me) it's like putting heavy duty double sided tape that magically grips even to grass for better tractionI respect your opinion on driving aids, and I've heard many people saying the same thing about the unfairness of others using them.
Respectfully, I'll never understand or agree with that.
Consider this simile: Playing soccer on a wet field, player A is wearing shoes with longer cleats than player B. Player A performs better, because he has better traction. Player B had the option to use the same type of cleats as player A, but chose not to, because of personal preference. He then argues that his opponents should have to use the same type of cleats that he prefers.
At least that's how I see it. Player A should be able to use any allowable equipment that he prefers. No individual player's preferences should become the rule for all others.
I could make some political comparisons to that type of ideology, but will refrain.![]()
I think CSA is there to compensate for some seriously unrealistic physics this game tends to manifest.I agree, except for CSA. (I'm not well versed in football so pardon me) it's like putting heavy duty double sided tape that magically grips even to grass for better traction
It only becomes a disadvantage when a football player can run so fast that the only thing slowing him down is the stickiness of the duct tape on the shoes![]()

No racing for me tonight. I still can't get past race matching.
This needs to happen.Next week, race A has got to be the Mini.![]()
2 consecutive wins with mustang at suzuka b/s...pretty balanced car, and got enough credit to buy a fr2 car
How are tires?
We'll, I completed a total race in 8.42.xxx without trying hard. I'm sure a an 8.3x.xxx would be average in the Mini. Though, Brands Hatch would be a more fitting track, just because. This needs to happen.
Weekly races are too long, now we're back to discussing what aids other people are allowed to use?

Race the way you want and let others choose the way they want to drive.
I don't particularly care for getting penalties from cars spinning out in front of me without TCS. The quicker cars can recover the less penalties I get and the closer racing can be without fearing for people messing up all the time. What should be penalized much more in SR.S is going off road. At that stage you should be able to keep the car on the road, no matter what assists you use or don't use. Leave the road, SR Down. Come back to SR.S once you learn to drive safely without becoming a missile.
Next week two boring races and GR.2 on the new track. C will be fun for a couple days, yet a whole week with only 3 cars to choose from, hmm. 13 laps as well, that's going to get repetitive fast. I wonder how the track limits are, GT League doesn't seem to have any.
I cleaned up the endurance races yesterday after 2 rather boring Suzuka races. 25 laps on Mount Panorama, 30 laps on DT Seaside, 38 laps on Monza and 18 laps on Sarthe. It's a shame the AI is so bad cause those are nice length races. 2.5 mil to go for the last 20 mil car.
I agree completely, so for this week I concentrated on Race C and have had good clean racing. The worry is if Race C is a race I don't enjoy then I will be without racing for a week.Imo, the penalty system, now, is not the problem. I have had about my last 15-20 Daily C races run clean and intense, with all drivers I was near running with respect to space and others racing lines. There were some very minor bumps here and there that resulted in sr down infractions, but not race debilitating...we were able to race. If there was major contact, it seemed to be a mistake and was penalized accordingly.
The problem seems to be the short Daily A and B sprint races that bring out the worst in everyone's on track manners. It's a mad dash to get as many positions as possible before the end of lap 1 with no regard to brake zones, corner rights, or other drivers overall space. Too many drivers are oblivious to on track ettiquet with an attitude of win or position grab at all cost. The penalty system before would penalize the victim as much or more so than the perp. No one could get into a good race without someone getting penalized for minor bump contact that affected neither driver, and would end an otherwise amazing race. Until all GT Sport racers take on a more serious and respectful approach to their racing, the system will never be able to compensate for their shortcomings. The current penalty system, imo, is working as good as it needs to. Racers need to make the changes.
Could be the Copen, Abarth or Biposto as well. Can't wait.
