What is the racing like in Race C (Red Bull Ring) for this week, is it easy to gain DR/SR?
I've hit rock bottom again this morning as had to rage quit a Mini race due to being rammed constantly affecting my SR/DR and then had
a disconnect during a race so my DR is back down to a pathetic 1950, SR is 44 points which is okay (B) but should I just bite the bullet
and loose it all and reset or try to race through the pack to get my points back?
First time in a while I've been rock bottom but it's beginning to frustrate me again as seems impossible to get out of SR B trap.
Sorry mate I feel your pain, but 1950 is not rock bottom. I don't play as much as I'd like, perhaps a 30 min to 1 hour session every couple of nights if even so it takes me a long period in real time to get anywhere on rankings. I was a constant SR/S for near 30 days of play (probably 90 days in real time) until one crazy night dumped me to SR/C @ 32 points (was on 8,000 DR points at the time so high DR/C SR/S at the time). I tried racing carefully but competitively and just could not get SR back. A Daily B gets you 6 points if run 100% clean. 1 small rub loses 3 points. 2 rubs = no increase in SR. Try racing in SR/C “rub" free while being anywhere near another car. Eventually on the Daily B started this week I gave up and did not qualify so as to start at the back. Then I give a 30 sec lead to the 2nd last car and time trial 4 laps. I still catch other cars, some look like drunk drivers, some are just slower cars, some are the backwash of dumb ass moves. I've had to hit the brakes at times and sit on the track waiting for them to drive on so I can make it around "rub" free. I actually moved off the racing line and out of the way of a car last night that had gone a mile off track and I still managed to lose 3 SR points because it hit me in the rear coming back up the field...I slowed, put hazards on and moved off the bloody racing line...and he still hits me. Anyway, a few races later I’m SR/A and on the way back to S but a whopping 400 DR points.
My fear is that when I get to SR/S again I’ll work on DR but SR points are so easily lost and so difficult to gain I’ll become too protective in my driving, afraid to make any move, not defending a position and stop enjoying actually racing. That or join the crazy gang and just start racing GT Demolition Derby.
