In the Netherlands we have unlimited calls/sms plans and if you can permit it even unlimited 4G data.Imagine the bill after such a long phone call...![]()
Next weeks races:
N200 - Red Bull Ring Short - 7 laps - Grid Start
Gr.3 - Blue Moon Bay Speedway - 10 laps - Rolling Start
Gr.4 - Lago Maggiore GP - 8 laps - Fuel x7, Tyre wear x8 - Rolling Start
Yo what a bargain! Here an expensive plan can only get you 5GB worth of 4G and an hour of call I thinkIn the Netherlands we have unlimited calls/sms plans and if you can permit it even unlimited 4G data.
So with one of those subscriptions it would be free if the race was here

Unlimited texts so there's that I guess?

Are you an aussie lol? I just can't get on with it in this game all the prevuious GT's fine this one its undriveable...maybe its better when my wheel comes back out. I can't drive the F1 eitherNo one is forcing you to race there. In my mind Tokyo is the worst track/s in the game to race on, but I'd never suggest getting rid of any tracks. Some people love Tokyo. New tracks are being added without removing tracks. Bathurst is the *only* reason I bought this game in the first place.
Guess I should just stop existing. The penalty system is STILL crap and I was at the brink of being rest, AGAIN. Thanks again PD, it's a pleasure playing this game every single day. 👍
Still managed to finish 3rd and set the fastest lap, with my pace I would have easily won this race.
Lol, that might be the worst one yet.
It's as if the game is simply saying, 1. There was contact. 2. The other person went off the track. Result = It was your fault.
Obviously that wasn't the case there and I've had a few penalties similar to that. The fact that everyone is running wide out of T1 also makes this issue worse. I've had people lunge me on lap 1 into turn 1, they hit me, they then spin off the track and the game has used the logic above to say it was my fault!
Bet he's got the bodyshop on speed dial, judging by the driving standardsImagine the bill after such a long phone call...![]()
It's just so baffling to me. Some races the penalty system works completely fine and they way they intended to (well, at least I hope so). And then there are races like this.
Now I'm actually dreading of doing another race, as this brought me down to SR B. If somebody does this exact thing next race I'll be down at SR C and will be reset again. That's absolute rubbish.
Speaking of which, on one of your videos, you are having a good showdown against India's fastest guy.Agreed. I was really looking forward to racing Gr.2 again but now I fear doing the race as I worry about my SR dropping to B again. Then having to rebuild it all day in the Gr.3 race.

And I just fired up gts up for race C action. Think I'll just do qualifying laps till later lolI tried two RBR races last night. Both were dirty again, got punted twice in the first one, got spun around into the gravel in the second one in T3. Also the backfield was now abusing the T1 track limits. It seems to have played out, it's not getting cleaner, cheating is getting worse, dives are increasing, matchmaking is getting worse at SR 99 (A+/S to D/S in prime time). I don't expect it to be any better in the weekend. Good luck to those who venture onto the track today.

I've mentioned it elsewhere in this forum before, but alot has to do with the group of drivers your matched with and the approach they take to the racing. If with a group of serious and competitive racers who appreciate the gratification of clean overtakes and truly earned positions, the penalty system is flawless and works as intended. However, if with a bunch of goons trying wreck and play Mario cart, it becomes too much for the penalty system to decipher. As I said before, its the racers that need to change, not the system. I have been one of lucky ones as of recent to be grouped with a decent bunch of drivers and have had some very intense races with a great sense on track manners. It's just so baffling to me. Driving standards in the Minis have deteriorated as the week's gone on. At the beginning of the week I had nothing but good and clean races - the last couple of days I've seen nothing other than mainly red SRs at each race end.Last corner in the Minis. Guy in front of me bottles it and brakes, I hit him, he goes off, I get a three second penalty as I cross the line in first. What a time.

I disagree. I have had plenty of side by side and mid corner bumps. As long as it has not created a change in line or an off track, no penalties seem to be issued, just sr down. If both are trying to be clean, that should be the most of the contact, unless of course a mistake occurs then a penalty should be issued. This is in a perfect world where everyone is trying to race clean. It's quite consistent, yet the reasoning behind it escapes me as well. If both cars go off track, the one leaving the track last is considered the 'victim' and the one that left first gets the penalty. Just as weird as when more than 2 cars are involved, the one that made contact last and stayed on the road gets the penalty. So if you want to punt someone off, use another car as a cue ball, or follow them off track to escape a penalty...
The normal way of operation is, contact, one car leaves road, other car gets the penalty. Yet that's also way too simple as when someone turns in on you at the apex then loses control will give you a penalty. Plus people can still spin you out on track and never get a penalty when you manage to stay on the road, turned around and all.
Sure, as long as there are clean overtakes, as in no contact, then it indeed works flawless![]()
Tried my Z4 @ NGP. It'd nice. Feels slow and not as sharp as others with initial turn in. Mid corner to exit, I have to drop more speed and it'll turn better.
Once I figured that out, I gained time to a slip sliding RC F. Started last and made up 2 spots. Yawn....
Edit:
Jumped in the trusty Genesis. Had a good battle, at the back of an 11-car early morning race.
Last lap, me and an RSR swapped places. I passed it again and gapped it while catching a GT-R. It's sliding on exit. So I catch it right at the chicane. I take the wide exit. We go through the final turn cleanly as Im ahead mid-corner with strong exit speed. The player taps me. Then, squeezed me to the rumble strips with a couple more taps and I lose speed on the edge of the dirt, right at the line. 👎
