Well I would not agree because you will get orange Sr if someone hits you from behind, even repeatedly.
And it destroyed my race last night, where 4 cars were racing for 6 laps and it was mainly clean at the rb ring, no penalties and no pushing out. Rb ring has plenty of space and it's a shame really

Clear your cache for the in game network option page as well and restart, as far as I can tell once you get booted once it will just repeat until restarting your PS4.

you need to do that between each race (clearing cache and restart) to be sure not to get booted

I've done my fastest lap there with the Lambo, a 2.04.7, but it was with the old tire model.

This keeps happening to me as well, just after match-making and before the warm-up begins.
I gather from another post on gtplanet - that restarting the game works?

I hope this gets patched, Sport mode doesn't seem to have enough players as it is

Your mileage may vary. I rebooted and got multiple races out of it. Others have reported getting one race then back to getting dumped back to the Sports Mode screen.

Final point...for a change the weirdness of GTSport went in my favour last night. Trying to get back from my 1 point DR I was climbing stead with a series of top 5 finishes. Even managed to come ahead of a poor DR/S SR/S driver who ended in my DR/D lobby and got punted off on T1 NurbRing. Getting 500 to 800 points per race I was up to 3,900 points and needed just 100 to get back to DR/C. Started 10th, finished 5th in a grid of all DR/C drivers (I think I was the only DR/D) and landed on...wait for it...6,100 points total. Yep, 2,200 points for 5th place in a DR/C 4 lap daily. No idea how but I'll take them thanks very much.

That's GTS's way of stopping people from bouncing from one level to another and back again. When you have a win that puts you over the edge for going up a level, they gift you 2k more to keep you up there for a few races. Similarly, when you loose enough to go down a level, they take away an extra 2k

Got my qualifying down to a 2:05.644 using the Cayman GT4.

20:00 room, qualified 3rd, did a no stop, and finished 3rd. Had a showdown of Caymans between my plain ol' GTPlanet Cayman and a NOS Energy Cayman. In the end though, the guy made a mistake into T1 on the final lap, securing a 3rd place. Winner did a no stop strategy in an 86.

That's GTS's way of stopping people from bouncing from one level to another and back again. When you have a win that puts you over the edge for going up a level, they gift you 2k more to keep you up there for a few races. Similarly, when you loose enough to go down a level, they take away an extra 2k

Intresting. Never did a race C with the Cayman. Are the tires keeping up a bit trough the final laps? For me, when there's a gr. 4 race with pit, it's allways hard to chose wheter to go 4 a 'no stopper' or to pit for fresh rubber. Usualy, new boots seem to suit me better. I've done 'no stoppers' but that was with the Trophy. And i refuse to take that car since like may or so. I saw to much of those!

I tried the Lambo. Suits my driving style and quickly improved on my best lap so far. I think i’ll be able to get my times down faster in this car. Also, I think it might be easier to be consistent in the Lambo.

The Veyron feels heavy in comparison to the Lambo.

I also tried the Cayman. I liked it, but feels different to drive than many of the cars I normally use.

The NSX will by my weapon of choice I think. I'll be giving it a try later.

How's the SR going in Race C this week? Still trying to get improvements but not having much luck at the moment.

Race C has been good for my SR today, race B very bad mostly but just managed a win there. SR is ok now back up to 70 points had 1 this morning after the reset. Race B had a decent result last race and got no penalties for once as I managed to get away from the pack early. Currently DR C but on my way back up.

Excellent! Race C it will be then. I am currently on 57 SR points and trying to get back up to S rank, qualifying time is not good though as have
only a 2:09 but hopefully will do ok in races.

Yeah I am on 2.09 flat too, need to improve but its good enough in the race especially if your fuel saving as your not on the limit.

Welp, I entered Race C with my 1s slower qualy, expecting to place somewhere in the lower half. P2 . The grid was a mix of DR/C, D with a few Bs thrown in.

Race starts and T1 was pretty tight, but I still managed to come out of it maintaining P2 with no penalties or orange SRs. We get to the second lap, and he goes a bit wide at the T1 chicane and ends up on the grass so P1 for me! I was stoked! Yeh, I really wish I wouldn't get my hopes up. Get to the banked hair pin and didn't turn in as well as I expected, ended up in the sand. Down to P4. The racing was really tight, but people were trying to be clean. I got hit into another car which saw the first of my orange SRs. I picked up another one at T1because I was going too slow coming out trying to stay off the grass when I was scraped on the inside. I pitted on lap 5 in P2.

@Mr616 Fuel and tyres seemed ok, but I changed tyres anyway. I use the back end to turn so if you are smooth, you could probably get better tyre wear than me. I was changing gear banging off the redline, but using a higher gear than recommended through the esses and the banked hairpin. Adding short shifting into the mix may get you to the line without messing with the fuel map.

Ok, so back to the race, and it was intense . I came out in P7 and the two cars in front where having their own battle, which was slowing me down, so other cars came crashing through. With many changes of position, I was carrying a 3s penalty. Crossed P8, but that got dropped to P11.

On a side note, there was another Aussie on the grid. He was a DR/B doing a @Sven Jurgens . He started P12/16 and finished P2. He saw my pre-race comment, agreed and wished me a good race, but stupid warm up finished before I could reply, and he left too quickly to congratulate him on the podium. Celica7Tsport if yer out there, well done mate 👍.

SR dropped to 97, DR down a few hundred. Only 139 points to go before I'm back home . Day 9 in DR/C. My record is 20 days.

I wrote about kicking me out of race for too many Incidents...
I almost had it last night but managed to avoid contact for the last lap.
My conclusion is that if you have a close race (contact, rubbing is racing) you will get orange Sr, even without any penalties, and if you overdo it the game will kick you out. But the next couple of races you don't get a clean slate, the game watches you very closely, and if you start close racing again you will almost certainly be kicked, at least couple of races you must avoid all contact. Funny thing is I got booted for too many Incidents at the start of the Race ( I was revving my engine eaiwait for the red lights ) ))

I made the same observation in reverse in an post earlier today. When my SR was D & C if I remotely touched, got rear ended and even came within another car's hit box (not kidding) the game penalised me not only with an orange sector but also a -3 SR points. However now that I'm back to SR S I had two minor incidents resulting in two consecutive orange sectors and a 3 second penalty but did not lose any SR points. The conclusion I made was yours but from the other point of view; 10 races no contact, some "clean race" bonus points, a 99 SR and the game knows that this is not your normal behaviour and does not punish. It would make sense as to why keeping an SR S rating is much easier than getting it back.

I ain't been kicked though...you must be a very naughty boy.

I don't know what happens exactly, but once your kicked from a race for too many collisions, intentional or not your definitely racing under closer scrutiny for a few races afterwards. I got reset earlier and went to do race C for some SR gains and I literally only had one slight contact and the you will be kicked for any further contact message came on was forced to sit out the remaining laps in the pit. I have made it back to DR B from D today and my SR is up to A also, the difference on race B is unbelievable mostly decent clean races, nothing like when I was racing the lower ranks. Managed 3 wins today and now only 700 points down on where I was before this mornings messy and frustrating racing, if you want to do race B get your SR up first its taken a good few hours to get back to almost where I started.

Well I am going to dabble with both Race B and C this week, I have a good time on Race B so hopefully will be good as I am well
trained in 1st corner on Blue Moon Bay.

Report in later once I finally get my late shift at work finished (two hours to go) but hopefully will be up in SR at least by the end of the night.

Only had the one go at Blue Moon earlier. It reminded me of that video where the guy's laughing at a scene from Heavy Rain that carries on without any player input. Hilarious. SR from B to D in one go. I'm going to be raging when this is gone.

What i don't get is all those fast times with the TT Cup. Ok, it handles very well, i know, but it lacks much speed and torque, imo. I can't get an .06 out of it.

How do you guys do the "no stop" strategy for this week's Race C? Curious because I've never tried it before. I've always run max fuelling and don't really short shift, with 1 stop.

Had a bad last night at Nurburgring went from sr 97 to SR 61. Just done four race c's at Maggiore using the Vantage and got back to SR 99 with just over 2000 Dr improvement . 1 win and a few 2nd and 3rds.

Yes! I noticed that about the TT!

I don’t generally use FF race cars at all for online racing.
I wouldn’t have expected to be suited to a track like Maggiore. The kerbs aren’t too high, so I thought stability wouldn’t be so important.

Similar for me - SR S to B in 2 races! I didn't hit one car, but got tapped in the rear or side so many times that I had a red SR in each race.

Looked to be the same for everyone else too, apart from the guy that won the second race, and managed to maintain a blue SR.
