Don't bother Race A and Race B. Former is because of the track being broken and players abusing it, latter is self explanatory.

Also yeah getting penalized for "bump drafting" is common on both firsts race so avoid.

It says we can adjust settings on the Lancia delta but it wont let me....what am I missing?

I just got dq'd from blue moon because I was leading and dude behind me kept hitting me....keep up the great work PD.
Why do they keep screwing up this track specifically?! I've had multiple races, during different weeks at Blue Moon Bay where it would just randomly "ghost" everyone in the field, when no one had a penalty; the strange part was that the cars wouldn't become semi-transparent like a normal ghost, but you could still literally drive through everyone. Made racing kind of pointless as you could just slipstream and pass through someone when you were going faster than them. This happened when Blue Moon Bay was an A-race, a B-race, and a C-race.

Then there was that period when so much as tapping a car from behind in a proper bump draft would give you a 5-second penalty, and now they seem to have almost reversed it by punishing the car being pushed (no time penalties at least...). Am I supposed to dive out of the way and give up the spot now? I've literally never encountered such a consistently broken, worse-than-useless penalty system on any other track in this game! It sucks because Blue Moon is easily one of my favorite tracks. At least they haven't wrecked Northern Isle and Yamagiwa...yet...

I am pretty much just about at that point. After the debacle this penalty threw at me on Saturdays FIA race, and never penalized a guy for slamming me off the track, I'm about to sell my wheel setup and the damn game. It's just not fun anymore.
Not worth it, just keep the wheel and move on to a better game

You don't need to live and die by Sport Mode. Lobby Racing is so much greater than Sport ever could be. Host or find a clean or kick lobby.

I vastly prefer lobbies. I only partook in Sport Mode because I wanted to Platinum the game.

I agree with you 100%

I was able to do Race A be leaving MY PS4 as is.
Not too impressed by the Integrale. Started last, finished 4th. Lonely race: 9 seconds behind 3rd and gapping 5th by 11seconds. Didn't give me the same thrill or fun, as the E30.

Waiting for Race C. Hopeful all's good.

Edit: I'm not game to no stop. Just pit for tyres and went from 13th to 6th. I tried to stay out of trouble, but a Slophy had other plans. Tried to escort me wide, when I gave room up the inside, at the first u-turn, for it to pass me. It then, wants to cut me off, by turning into me. Well, didn't work, because I t-boned it. Oh well, clean bonus gone.

Even if penalties worked for race B it would be a disaster, people don't understand the racing. So many times I see people racing so hard for 2nd the leader just drives off. You have to work together, there is no point going for a do or die slidejob when you still have 80% of the race left.

The fun of this race is pretty much being an intense race with everybody packed in sharing/ finding their slipstreams and leader actually have to worry and try to defend but reality is way harsher

Race C is pretty good. Got my SR back to an A. Been driving the GTR and the Atenza qualifying 2:07.2. I think I can do better. What car are you using and why? Which Gr4 has fastest top end best braking cornering

I cant break the 2.07s and I've tried a few cars. The M4 I've got 2:07.300. I'm baffled as I also had trouble getting near those on my friends list in the GT3 daily on here a couple of weeks back. Someone on my list is in the 2:05s in the Cayman, I couldnt get under 2:08 in it. Yet in the past I've won here. Not sure what the problem is.

I was doing 2.05.5xx's in the NSX. There are a lot of corners you can lose big time on. Turn 3 into 4. Turn 5, as well as the last section of track (double right hander and the last corner). Maintaining corner speed is key, but don't over drive the car.

Watch some of the leaderboard times. Go onboard and watch their lines as a guide to how to approach.

Edit: Or watch the video posted above my post. Kie25 is fast.

Yeah the first thing I do is watch the top ten replays see what's what. I know I'm not going to get near them using motion sense and auto gears and I think that's the issue with this track, although I dont recall being so slow before for some reason. I note the s after the uphill right is just a down change and turn in, I'm braking, same on the last left before the start finish straight. Yet I'm in the 1:03s on race A which I thought was pretty good! I think I need a wheel.

I did 2:06:2xx with Audi TT but I can go at 2:05:9xx ;)

I tried 3 cars yesterday, after 6 months not playing the game. ^^

Managed a 2:04:3xx in the Audi TT, a 2:04:4xx in the Cayman and a 2:04:8xx in the Aston Martin.

6 months ago, the Aston was one of the best Gr.4 cars. Did they change its BoP or balance?

They did boost the Audi TT and the Cayman a little, so maybe that is it? Don't think they altered the Aston if I remember correctly.
Or could have been the tyre model update? That was quite a big change for a lot of cars.

Maybe that's the reason why. Haven't noticed a big difference in the tyre model though. I'll see if I can find a thread on that topic.

What are euro top times for race C?

Your name was missing for months on my friends qually times, then when you reappear, your topping the times ;) Well done.

I'm sticking with the NSX for something different.

P.S It may be the tyre model making the Aston slightly slower. I cannot match my 2.04.046 in the 458 from a few months ago. That's had a slight nerf plus the tyre model means I'm pulling 2.05.xxx's and I cannot break the sub 2.05 barrier.

You don't imagine how much I laughed at your signature, after all these months. #turn4gate :D

Same story here on race C, a guy haven't stop bumping me in the back (I've got the warning, but I didn't take notice, telling myself it's only a bug, it can't be...) and I've been dq... I was just looking for a nice and clean race, I'm pissed...

So now we are supose to drive like theses stupids agressives kiddos ?

Race C is becoming a Megane Fest. Did maybe half a dozen races earlier all from pole using a few different cars. Mostly good races.

The NSX is ok for no-pit but its tyres are not as good as the Meganes the last few laps of the race.
The Huracan is fast enough to pull away but eats fuel/tyres and pitting will put you behind the leading Meganes and NSXs finishing at most a handful of secs behind at the end.

Megane is easy no pit, the best strategy seems to be to conserve as much fuel and tyres during the first 6 laps without losing too many positions or time then nail it for the last two when everyone else is struggling.

Results from further back in the field may vary. Its easy to lose a lot of time swapping positions.

I think this might be it. The FR cars in the Groups 3 and 4 categories just don’t seem to feel any where near as good to drive as the MR cars now. I was driving the Viper exclusively in both categories since almost the release date but I finally had to make a switch to an MR following the updated tyre model.

@Sven Jurgens Oh Sveeeeen ! We have a mission for youuuuuu!

Uhmm nope, sorry. GR.4 slow, Magiorre boring! On the Nordschleife I'll bite!

I accidentally entered a C race yesterday after trimming a video between races. Same start time and somehow the same car was the last used one (can't remember when last I did GR.4). It was good to recover some SR yet I quit after the first sector lap 7 to switch back in time for the :50 race. It still gave me +7 SR, thus +12 SR up to that point. I'm guessing 16 max to be made at the daily C this week. 2 per lap is about right for a daily C.

I actually made some SR on Bluemoon bay as well. I ended up at 51 after going down as low as 40. SR.B seems to be cleaner than SR.S, I even had a room with almost all blue ratings, while in SR.S the blue ratings were rare. The amount of points you can get in the daily B is very low though and any draft bump means SR loss. I also had a room with 6 E/B players. I'm guessing people are making new accounts not to risk their main, or is there a sale on? At least one E/B player drove as well as me and gave me a good fight for first. I managed to win by a nose length.

I'm saving the race result screens this week, see how the red ratings progress through the week. Although currently I'm committed to spidey at night. Swinging at top speed low over the ground through narrow gaps between building is almost as good as racing! I miss the Driver series, that had some decent car handling and fun city to race through.
