I think it's gonna be Race C for me for the rest of the week. Losing 20 Sr points in 2 Race B's is not fun; especially when it's the same damn incidents as yesterday. Draft bumping and getting orange SR, then being ran off the road/rammed into a wall, getting orange SR's and 5 second penalties. I started both at the back and then 7th on a grid. Makes not a jot of difference.

PD are really having a laugh with Race B this week, if their aim is to reset virtually everyone who takes part.

"Daily races" are now weekly races all the time? That's nice.

I might do some races tomorrow (C race). But I have no idea if the Cayman is a good car for fuel and tire management. I hate FF cars... and apparently the Megane is still a rocket it seems.

Made a top10 lap with a couple of mistakes. I'd forgotten how hard it is to put a lap in the leaderboard.

I slowly climbed back up to SR 35 on BMB, then the penalty system decided to screw me over again. SR.C is so much dirtier than SR.D. I got bumped many times in corners, on straights and from behind and 3 times it resulted in the car doing the bumping losing control and scraping a wall, resulting in 7 sec penalty total for me. Down to SR 11 after that race. First time I saw someone wall riding in T1, always new surprises with this game.

I finally got a DQ warning, I joined the club!

Car behind turns in on me, hits my rear wheel with his front bumper and loses control to hit the wall. Penalty and DQ warning for me lol. It says you will get DQ at the next collision, however I got hit several times more and finished the race.

The fear of DQ has pretty much put an end to draft bumping. Or maybe people are just stupid, fighting for 3rd while the gap to the front only grows. One car insisted in staying beside me for 5 laps! It was some clean driving, yet efficient, not at all. First place just kept increasing the gap each corner.

Sometimes you find a good driver, swap positions every straight, almost as efficient as bump drafting as long as you make sure to go single file into T1 and T3. Sometimes you just become the pinball in a destruction derby or this happens

I got SR down and 5 sec penalty for that. This game is hilarious!!

At least no 2 races are the same and SR.D is cleaner than SR.C so dropping further down is only a benefit.
Competition is also better in SR.D, I'm starting 7th there (same as in SR.S), while starting 1st or 2nd in SR.C to get dive bombed in T1.

I already had a DR reset to 7K, increased DR back to 13.7k with 11 SR currently. I doubt I'll get anywhere near SR.S this week. No interest in GR.4 on Magiorre. I'll do one race there when I hit SR.E to see how much the SR boost is nowadays for a clean race. So far SR.D is too clean to drop down further. Everything is upside down in this game!

If these are the track limits we need to learn, make the “driving line” show that. Otherwise, please fix this messed up carp.

I do not use the use the driving line. I concur and understand the GTP track limits.

So please 2 wheels on, in this game PD.

Thank you.

PD just needs to get their boundaries proper.

Sort out their network and fix (please add the best requests).

Love and hate situation with GTS all over again. Get my 70th win on Blue moon but at same time my SR just killed on C, after really trying make it back to S my DR falling hard :banghead:

I know PD intention to punish some brakechecker but now it become joke I mean.... how can somebody do slipstream and bump us then us get SR down? :irked:

let me explain this:
- bump draft: SR down
- stay on line and not even block hell I didn't realize he following me, behind me bump draft and crash: Penalty
- getting hit then just on half gas so he can pass but no he hit me again: Penalty

ok the 3rd one my move just bit vague but you get the general idea. Dunno I should play this or not, people now deliberately trying bump you :scared:

Unfortunately there are some filthy drivers out today at the moon. Ive had the reset as well from the constant hits up the arse...not much you can do but suck it up and hope next weeks races are better and start the rebuild

Yeah, not liking the orange arrow when someone instigates side contact.

Somebody knows what next week races are? I checked the 'events list' at Kudos but it only shows this week.

Usually gets updated Saturday or Sunday.

Managed to get a time of 2.05.258 using the Vantage. Unfortunately whatever I tried I couldn't beat it. I decided to try a few other cars but couldn't improve, so I went back to the Vantage and after a little more practice I end up with 2.04.976. I then did another dozen laps and finally ended up with 2.04.703. Enough qualifying I think.

I ran sooo many laps in the NSX last night and could only improve to a 2.05.504(?). I can make just over 2 tenths up in the first 2 corners but then I can't nail the rest of the lap as quick as my previous time :(

Well done on your qually. Sub 2.05.xxx is quick!

The NSX has good fuel and tire wear. If your quick you can one stop it.

Mustang did good.

After pitting, I caught some fuel saving cars(Cayman then an 86) to move up. Managed tyres and fuel to push in the last one and a half laps.

What about the Cayman? Has anyone tried to no-stop with it? NSX and Megane are the obvious candidates...

Man... i'm scared of racing when i read all of the above! That's not how it should be! I think i'll wait untill PD does something about this penalty system.. I've already lost many SR points and back in B now.. I wanna race the Delta because i've owned one in RL, but not al all costs..

You can read my posts below to set you on the right tracks:
Got my qualifying down to a 2:05.644 using the Cayman GT4.

20:00 room, qualified 3rd, did a no stop, and finished 3rd. Had a showdown of Caymans between my plain ol' GTPlanet Cayman and a NOS Energy Cayman. In the end though, the guy made a mistake into T1 on the final lap, securing a 3rd place. Winner did a no stop strategy in an 86.

Tried a no stop strategy using the NSX.

05:30 Room, Qualified 2nd, and there are some drivers whose SR ranges from Bs and Cs. I thought the no stop worked, until pressure got me and I was eating my tyres, causing the pole sitting 86, which pitted for a 1 stop, to win the race from the final lap, as I was hopelessly defending. That final lap defense is caused by my understeer on one of the laps before that...

I've found that short shifting in fuel mix 1 works best. Here's how I typically run a race:

I can't stress enough how pathetic this decision is. Since the change from daily to weekly, I've never spent less time playing this game.

I have to agree. The dailies were an adventure. The intention of the weeklies I suspect was that as the week progresses, people will become more familiar with the track and their car and thus the racing would become closer. Instead I think people just become bored. As the week goes on I noticed the grids getting smaller and smaller, and the mix of driver ratings increased. I started off with grids of similar DR, but as the week progresses it becomes a mix of every DR as they try to fill the grid with enough cars for a race. The only thing that keeps me going for the week is trying different cars just to see how they do.

What about the Cayman? Has anyone tried to no-stop with it? NSX and Megane are the obvious candidates...

I know you asked about the Cayman, so this is a bit off topic, but I almost did a no stop with the Viper with short shifting alone. If I hadn't revved it out for some corners, I would have managed, but the tyres get a bit squidgy.

Well I didn't manage to get racing yesterday due to setting up my new internet router and configuring everything but did set my lap times
for the races.

I see Race A's best qualifying laps are almost all "fake" times due to the amount of shortcuts you can get away to improve your overall lap
time with on the run off's around Red Bull Ring being so lax so I guess I'll always be mid-field for Race A but not my main focus this week.

Maybe they should do a mix of dailies and weekly's. Been enjoying both anyway

And yet since the change to weeklies I’ve never spent more time playing this game.

Ditto. I'll be in straight from work to race all week now. I only ever really do race C though.

This new change to being DQ'd during a race is ridonkulous; I just was the victim of this new algorithm change while leading a race from pole with 1.5 laps left. Racer behind me kept bumping me while I was in the lead knowing I would get DQ'd even though I was in the lead & had accrued ZERO penalties. 👎 :grumpy:

I agree, the trolls will soon catch onto this so something will have to be done about the DQ rule soon I suspect because it's not really
very fair esp if you were in front throughout.

And this is exactly why my rig is collecting dust this week. Maybe I'll check into the FIA races tonight. Being forced to race in the lobbies isnt very user friendly.

Did some qualifying laps with the Atenza. Managed to get within 10ths of my already set qualifying time, so entered the race. Come race time I was hit with the same bug I was experiencing before. I did manage to get quite a few races in after my last re-boot. I didn't feel like waiting half an hour for the next race, so single race arcade mode for me! One more race to go to complete la croix sweety. Shut the PS4 down, so hopefully tomorrow it will get past the "preparing track" screen.
