I raced the Porsche in GT1 at Monza, qualified 9th and finished 4th. Lots of sloppy driving in front of me the first two laps or i’d have gotten third.

In the Mazdas at Interlagos I exited the first race after being punted from 3rd to 11th, getting back up to 6th and being smashed into by someone battling with a Brazilion. In his anger at the Brazilion he came back across the track into my line and we bumped, then he took me out at the next turn. I assume he thought it was all my fault, lol.
When I logged back in after that mess, I took advantage of my new speed secret....shift early, the Mazda makes good torque. I went a second a lap faster and took the pole, checked out and won my 21st race.

The slower the cars are, the dirtier the driving seems to be. The faster cars a mistake is nastier though, lol.

Meet somebody who's from my country and he get tossed early race starting, So on mid race he crawling to top. So here's me they guy on B S vs S S + other racer from Australia, this was fun race except that out track scene  (well I think I lose control because tire, turn out he unconsciously tap me well he say sorry and this just daily race so yeah).

This is second time I battle with S S player, and just realized the difference between me and they :|

New daily races
A. Lago Magiorre - Center Atenza Sedan 6 laps
B. BB Raceway GR.3 15 laps
C. Nurburgring GP GR.1 10 laps 6x fuel, 12x tires

I did a massive marathon on Monza today (yesterday) to find a clean T1, mission failed.

Out of 32 races I did make it through T1 unscathed 11 times, yet always mess around me or behind me. 19 times I'm either punted or hit/pushed to incur SR down and/or massive position loss.

I started with SR 99, ended with SR 66, lowest point was 50.
Races with negative SR: 11
Races with neutral SR: 9
Races with positive SR: 12

Worst race was in SR.S
Race 8: Start 2nd, T1 Dive bombed hit to 12th, climbed back up, punted repeatedly into cars in front of me, time penalty from getting punted into cars in front, finished 6th, -28 SR (92 -> 64)

Second worst was in SR.B just 2 races later
Race 10: Start 2nd, T1 punted into short cut, hit 1st braking early no harm yet 10 sec penalty, Finished 3rd, -14 SR (68 -> 54)
I was behind him for 3 laps and knew his braking points, he had a yellow 3 bar connection. Then on the last lap he brakes at least 50 meters earlier for no reason on the way to the second chicane, multiple car lengths before the 150 marker. Can't avoid a laggy car braking much earlier than expected :/ Excessive penalty imo. No order changed and he stayed on the road and won, no point trying to overtake anymore with 10 sec penalty.

Best race was in SR.B
Race 23, Start 3rd, T1 big mess, survived in 4th, 3rd crashes then 2nd, great clean battle for first, felt sorry he overshot in lap 3, another battle with who caught up, great race. Finish 1st, +0 SR (52), Best race despite T1

Conclusion, getting SR up in GR.1 Monza, very hard.

Despite the mess I did get 6 wins out of that, and gained 13.3k DR (40,322)

I managed to string together several consecutive poles > victories at Monza today; were the T1 carnage as bad as it's being made out to be, I doubt that would have been possible.

Give it another shot, it's not so bad :)

Does your PSN start with PD?

Race A for me :)

Had a few good races in the Atenza at Interlagos last night... finished top 4 mostly and also got my 20th victory :D. Also did two of the Gr. 3 Maggiore races... first one was an utter disaster which resulted in me dropping to SR C, meaning the second one was horrific. The difference between SR/B and C is incredible... intentionally ramming and shunting all over the place. I got bumped into a guy on T2 from the guy behind me, said guy then rammed me at full speed on zzz_pt corner :banghead: then quit. Seriously? Anyway, I moved over and waited for everyone to pass before leisurely completing the race to get my SR back up :)

@Sven Jurgens you really put a shift in last night! Over 30 races?! When did you eat or pee ?

Oh boy, oval racing and Nurb GP :banghead: no thanks

I like Nurb GP... but I don't like Gr. 1

@Nuschel01 sir you just made my day ! Wooow !

To me this video is ultimate proof why I like this game so much when there are people like you. It shows how good sport mode can be. By watching it i thought I was watching a real race on my iPad. Deep respect for all involved drivers !

You can see and learn a lot. First it shows the first round that respect is important but you are way faster than the 2 drivers before you but you still wait for the right moment and you pass them quickly and clean. Then your fight for #2 starts. You quickly leave behind the 2 cars you’ve passed. Your race pace is way quicker.

Than you start closing into #2. You can see he doesn’t notice you right away because you close the gap pretty quick in just 2 rounds. Oh, imagine him seeing you coming closer and closer and closer. That’s why it is important to watch the seconds between the cars. He lets you pass fairly easy because you look way faster.

After the pass I think you are going for #1. But man this is like a real thriller movie !! You make a little mistake and #3 thinks why did I let him pass me that easy ? And as if he rewakens he starts to fight back and does very well. He notices he is as fast as you and even faster because his qualy time was better. So he passes you and you are not happy. Because you know fighting for position is not so good for victory.

But man what a brilliant fight it was !

You can see in this race that when #2 and #3 fight for their position it is beautiful too watch but #1 is going pulling away from you and #4 is coming closer. The perfect proof that sometimes giving away your position is less fun but better for the end result. Like he did when you first passed him easily he gave away his position. Because you still win from him but #4 comes to close to make problems as well. Luckily that did not happen.

Meanwhile, you can see the great discbrakes becoming red from braking and the pitstop is beautifully displayed in these replays. You leave the pit together ! Also you can see what new tyres mean to your grip and car control. You can clearly see you drive with all the aids off and you fight for grip. Unlike the other driver I think (but not sure could be just a perfect driver handling perfectly fresh new tyres). But your struggle and fight with grip is clearly seen. One of the main reasons why, to me, this gives extra fun if we all have no aids when driving.

I stopped watching there and needed to write this commentary. Must see for a lot of people who don’t like this game or who don’t like its sport mode. This is what racing is all about.

Will continue watching the last minutes now......

Only did a single Gr.3 Maggiore race today, I still can‘t find the flow on that track :(
Was in P5, ran out of fuel and lost my place by 0.002 seconds :boggled:

Anyway, here‘s the replay of the race I mentioned yesterday, enjoy!

I'd really like to know what percentage of Sport mode regulars race the ovals. If it was up to me they'd never be in Sport mode; absolute waste of a slot.

I normally do a couple of them, they're no better or worse than any other race :)

Daily C: Gr.1 at Nurb

Don’t pit!!!

I started second and everybody was fast for 5 laps. I figured everybody was gonna pit on 5th or 6th. Just as I was entering the pits, I saw my tire and fuel meters... man... it took me fastest lap and an almost perfect drive to finish 3rd. Side by side with second through the finish line.

haha wow
Thanks for the positive words :O That guy in the M4 clearly didn‘t understand that we could‘ve finished 1 and 2 and not 1 and 3, I lost 6 seconds in 2 laps because of the battle I had with him. Fortunately P1 crashed in the chicane which gave me the chance to pass him and score the win :)
My racing wasn‘t 100% clean I think but I tried my best :D

Nice finish! I was actually in that race with you, but I was in the cheap seats. Can you really do a no-pit on that race? Hard to imagine the 919's tires surviving. Not one of my best tracks, but at least it was a fairly clean race.

Yes. My tires weren’t wearing at all. The thing is. In Gr.1, you gotta be super smooth coming out of corners. That way you don’t overcook the tires, have better traction (it’s faster) and don’t deplete the hybrid system. If you’re super smooth, almost to the point where you think is actually slower... it’s a lot faster.

Take a look at my gas input from the last Gr.1 at Nurb.

I watched the rest. Brilliant and you could see the mistake in the chicane. At first I thought it was somebody driving in the back of the field letting you pass. And saw him enjoy the fight up front. Than I noticed he was #1 and probably crashed at the chicane and the fight and ending was brilliant.

True there were some bumps but that is racing, especially when adrenaline is combined with respect there is nothing wrong with it. Just perfect !

Could you just please stop the music playing in a replay next time ? It adds nothing and is annoying.

I just recorded the replay while I was downstairs for dinner, then cut it in sharefactory and uploaded it. Didn‘t bother to remove the music
Thanks again for the kind words 👍

Yeah I guess you're probably right. I had to pit at 7 laps for fuel, and other than wider lines the tires weren't too much issue. With more conservative driving I could've stretched my tires to 10. I'll have to try that. Thanks for the vid, nice driving.

I just did another race on Nurb GP and I was getting ready to pass 8th place in the final turn, but a yellow flag showed up! I couldn't believe it. I had to just hang back and let them go.

Argh I had the yellow flag thing last night... guy totalled into a wall, respawned on the track... as I passed I get the 5 second penalty :banghead:

How do you manage the fuel? Always on 1?

If you look closely, you can see me in my Huracan in the back :p
I even lead the race for one lap, but staying out one more lap did cost me 2 positions in the end. Managed to gain 6 positions and ended 6th, but never could catch up to you guys.
The race was awesome though! More of them please

@bmxmitch
Yeah I noticed you leading after the pitstops, too bad we didn‘t meet on track :D I hoped to catch up in time to overtake you on track tho but the only time I barely saw you was when you pulled into the pits
You‘re a controller driver right? Impressive driving 👍

How do you hide the names in replays?

I was thinking about a no stop run, but I burned too much in the first 5 laps.
And yes, I only race on a pad! I even have to use X and circle, as my R2 is broken atm

But thanks a lot! I mostly manage to be 2-3sec behind the Top10, without aids that is ;)

I‘ll never understand how people manage to break their controllers tho :boggled:

Haha, must've been shooter games :p
But its not broken completely. I just cant full throttle with it anymore. So I'll just sneak with half throttle around tracks if I use R2 :ouch:
I have 4 controllers, all with the same issue in GTS...
But I'm used to accelerate with X anyways, just like I started back then with GT1 :O
