Plenty of examples otherwise, though... I had a grid with DR: S, A, B (me) and D on a Saturday afternoon.
The active player base is changing from one day to the next.It all depends on various things:car/track/day.
Also "hardcore" players (no matter their group) propably login every day and play as much as they can.Non "hardcore" dont do the same.
So one day someone can get matched up with others in the same "pool" (lets say DR A/SR S),but another day they'll match with player from mixed "pools" (DR S/A/B with SR S and maybe SR A).
Also the fact that higher rated pools have less players and you are getting matched withing your "region" only (Americas or Europe only -examples-) would affect the "matchmaking".
The DR B/A/S has more chances to getting matched with other DR rating drivers than DR C or D (based on the numbers of different "pools").
So what you say is 100% correct.But on the other hand you can argue both ways with valid points (if the players numbers can support another daily race or not).
