Haha, must've been shooter games :p
But its not broken completely. I just cant full throttle with it anymore. So I'll just sneak with half throttle around tracks if I use R2 :ouch:
I have 4 controllers, all with the same issue in GTS...
But I'm used to accelerate with X anyways, just like I started back then with GT1 :O

I always use the X and O as accelerator / brake from GT 1 2 3 4 5 :)

It's a defect with the pad in general. L2 would probably suffer the same fate if it was used as the run button in most games like R2 is. I have two pads and one of mine does this also, was impossible to use on FIFA for instance.

Thankfully I have a wheel for GT Sport, not that it is totally free from issues or potential problems.

Race A for me :)

Had a few good races in the Atenza at Interlagos last night... finished top 4 mostly and also got my 20th victory :D. Also did two of the Gr. 3 Maggiore races... first one was an utter disaster which resulted in me dropping to SR C, meaning the second one was horrific. The difference between SR/B and C is incredible... intentionally ramming and shunting all over the place. I got bumped into a guy on T2 from the guy behind me, said guy then rammed me at full speed on zzz_pt corner :banghead: then quit. Seriously? Anyway, I moved over and waited for everyone to pass before leisurely completing the race to get my SR back up :)

@Sven Jurgens you really put a shift in last night! Over 30 races?! When did you eat or pee ?

I like Nurb GP... but I don't like Gr. 1

It's only 6 minutes per race, almost 14 minutes in between for everything else. Life divided into 14 minute slices :)
I was timing it a bit fine now and then, barely making it to the controller before the end of the auto drive part.

I like Gr.1, yet there are so few people that can race them well. 10 laps on Nurb GR should be better, yet T1 will be a mess as well I bet, then more mess when tires wear thin that fast. However, no way I have time to do a whole lot of 10 lap races in a row. 10 laps should be plenty to get SR moving up again though.

It was fun to see every possible kind of behavior in a day, even had the pleasure to be intentionally taken out by a back marker and see idiot weave blockers running themselves into a wall :) it was to be an experiment to see how SR.S behaved yet in the 8th race they punted me down to SR.B in a single race, so it became more a study of SR.B. Still SR.B felt cleaner than those 8 SR.S races. Probably since I was now always starting in the top 4 and people were crashing so much after getting punted to12th they didn't have time to perform more dirty driving on me!

Yes, but 30 races... every 20 minutes is 600 minutes. Or 10 hours

i'm loving every thing about these sport races ,the rating the racing is tops,i'm getting to be a better driver just reached B and its hard to stay there but to find a better experience than this i don't know i rave about it to all my friends and anyone who will listen, lol, friend me and say hello when we meet up at the track( ucuget).thanks for reading, happy racing.joe

Same here Joe 👍 I wrote a thread saying the same on Friday. I'm actually addicted.

I have a DS4 where R2 doesn't give full power anymore, 95% or so. I spend hours trying to beat a trophy time challenge on DriveClub, could not figure out how to get faster or what I was doing wrong. Then I switched controllers and did it first try with time to spare :/

The DS4 I use for GTS has an L2 that has locked in place a couple times. Luckily never during a live race so far. Suddenly having no brakes will be interesting.

Yep, did some at lunch, then pretty much had it going from 5pm until 2am, 6 minutes every 20 minutes

That's commitment :) and you even detailed all of your races on here too! Props to you.

Yes, Gr1 needed to be used but now they have gone overboard with it. I think going to 4 daily races is necessary now, two sprints (could still do with an extra lap or two) and two with tyre wear and fuel depletion.
Mmm... I thought they went overboard with Gr 3 and 4 in particular - FIA’s season is all gr4 if I am not wrong - and oval tracks are a shame in a driving game.
Road cars are still non existent essentially, that’s the main issue for me, no consideration whatsoever beyond some doubtful one makes just to remind us of their presence

I don't know about the FIA races as they are at a time where I usually can't race much at sadly. The problem with the N cars was everyone was just downgrading higher level cars and dominating the field when they tried to have them, unless they can find a way to lock cars to a level online it's not far from a one make race anyway, just with a car from a higher tier. Then there is a problem with the BOP as no doubt every level has a dominant car even if you couldn't downgrade one. Even after months of tinkering they are still some OP cars on certain tracks and some that are total junk in Gr3 and 4 everywhere, so I can't see N(whatever) races coming back any time soon.

most of the best use csa anyway .. theres no real reason not to. as nice as it feels to drive in gt sport its not really a pure sim since it makes some mechanical concessions for playability so if you want to use the tools the game gives you theres no reason to feel guilty about it

I don't really feel guilty but I thought I'd mention it as I believe it's relevant as it does help consistency, sometimes I use it sometimes I don't, depends on the car. I know some of the guys that were in front of me do not use it at all, some of them may though I'm not sure.

New daily races
A. Lago Magiorre - Center Atenza Sedan 6 laps
B. BB Raceway GR.3 15 laps
C. Nurburgring GP GR.1 10 laps 6x fuel, 12x tires

I did a massive marathon on Monza today (yesterday) to find a clean T1, mission failed.

Out of 32 races I did make it through T1 unscathed 11 times, yet always mess around me or behind me. 19 times I'm either punted or hit/pushed to incur SR down and/or massive position loss.

I started with SR 99, ended with SR 66, lowest point was 50.
Races with negative SR: 11
Races with neutral SR: 9
Races with positive SR: 12

Worst race was in SR.S
Race 8: Start 2nd, T1 Dive bombed hit to 12th, climbed back up, punted repeatedly into cars in front of me, time penalty from getting punted into cars in front, finished 6th, -28 SR (92 -> 64)

Second worst was in SR.B just 2 races later
Race 10: Start 2nd, T1 punted into short cut, hit 1st braking early no harm yet 10 sec penalty, Finished 3rd, -14 SR (68 -> 54)
I was behind him for 3 laps and knew his braking points, he had a yellow 3 bar connection. Then on the last lap he brakes at least 50 meters earlier for no reason on the way to the second chicane, multiple car lengths before the 150 marker. Can't avoid a laggy car braking much earlier than expected :/ Excessive penalty imo. No order changed and he stayed on the road and won, no point trying to overtake anymore with 10 sec penalty.

Best race was in SR.B
Race 23, Start 3rd, T1 big mess, survived in 4th, 3rd crashes then 2nd, great clean battle for first, felt sorry he overshot in lap 3, another battle with who caught up, great race. Finish 1st, +0 SR (52), Best race despite T1

Conclusion, getting SR up in GR.1 Monza, very hard.

Despite the mess I did get 6 wins out of that, and gained 13.3k DR (40,322)
Question for you, S-Man.

How are you getting your SR changes on a per-race basis? I thought Kudos Prime only gives you the net SR change per day logged into Sport mode.

Maybe I’m incorrect in that.

yesterday i noticed several racers over and over trying as best as they could just like me so i found myself giving them a little more room and also i caught myself dive bombing and that will be that last time, instead i found it easier to stay behind and wait for a mistake.it would be nice to race with ppl who knew each other, wow.all my cars are red with a rays ad(ucuget).joe

At least 4... Yep!!! :)

No... not enough players per category to matchmake properly as it is... let alone spreading the playerbase thinner 👍

Players are not racing because of the junk events too though but you do raise a fair point, maybe the field could be reduced slightly in the sprint races to get a better balance. I think 4 races is worth a try in any case, any more than that is likely too much though.

Also disagree with that, if at 01:30 in the morning with 1.8s off the daily world record time I start in 12th grid position in the C race then for sure the playerbase can take a 4th race.

Plenty of examples otherwise, though... I had a grid with DR: S, A, B (me) and D on a Saturday afternoon.

That's also because of how the sportsmanship rating first matchmaking works though. End up with a low S SR rating and it will not let you race against the 99 SR guys, so the only guys it can match you with is players in the same boat as you and they won't be enough of them around any particular level to fill a field up, so you get a field like that.

Even as a S DR guy I get that when I've been Monza'ed or something like that previously which has lowered my SR rating, as soon as I'm back at 99 I get a field full of DR S and DR A again, the only thing time of day changes is the amount of DR S in the race, at prime time for instance it'll be more than half the field.

This issue would be the other regions really, EU has enough drivers, maybe that's not the case elsewhere, I don't know.
