Yes, T1 on Monza drops quite a few frames in GR.1 and I'm playing on ps4 pro. It might be worse on pro though with 4K.

I haven't noticed any drops today on Nurb GP, perhaps due to no crash fests in T1. My races there today were excellent. Sure there's still the odd bump from someone misjudging their braking point in the slipstream, yet only one bump per 10 lap race is the best I've had so far, can't ask for anything more really. One race, starting in 5th, the top 6 even went 3 wide through the first set of corners without a hitch. Miracles do exist. I was in the middle and caught traction first out of T4, nice kick into 3rd with the Porsche.

There are frame rate drops on a ps4 pro when playing gr1 online when not at 4k also. My tv is 1080i and the frame rate would drop during the dragon trail races at the weekend. I selected faster running over quality during setup and had four bars of connection :-)
 
Daily Races

A) Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile -- One Make (Suzuki Swift)
B) Alsace -- One Make (Lancer Gr.B Road Car)
C) Tokyo East Outer Loop -- Gr.4 endurance
 
I'll do some practice and set some times, but Alsace is the only one I'll race, although I'm tempted to try horse thief :)

They don't seem to be getting any better - B is the only option for me today !!

That's also because of how the sportsmanship rating first matchmaking works though. End up with a low S SR rating and it will not let you race against the 99 SR guys, so the only guys it can match you with is players in the same boat as you and they won't be enough of them around any particular level to fill a field up, so you get a field like that.

Even as a S DR guy I get that when I've been Monza'ed or something like that previously which has lowered my SR rating, as soon as I'm back at 99 I get a field full of DR S and DR A again, the only thing time of day changes is the amount of DR S in the race, at prime time for instance it'll be more than half the field.

This issue would be the other regions really, EU has enough drivers, maybe that's not the case elsewhere, I don't know.

The active player base is changing from one day to the next.It all depends on various things:car/track/day.
Also "hardcore" players (no matter their group) propably login every day and play as much as they can.Non "hardcore" dont do the same.
So one day someone can get matched up with others in the same "pool" (lets say DR A/SR S),but another day they'll match with player from mixed "pools" (DR S/A/B with SR S and maybe SR A).
Also the fact that higher rated pools have less players and you are getting matched withing your "region" only (Americas or Europe only -examples-) would affect the "matchmaking".
The DR B/A/S has more chances to getting matched with other DR rating drivers than DR C or D (based on the numbers of different "pools").
So what you say is 100% correct.But on the other hand you can argue both ways with valid points (if the players numbers can support another daily race or not).

👍 I know why it is, I was just making the point... it seems that alot of people are complaining about matchmaking and also want an additional race. I'm quite content with it, to be honest.. it can only work with what it has.

What you also have to think about: just read here in the thread, there is quite a few people that say they don't want to race at all on a given day if the races suck in their opinion. So by adding a 4th race for sure you are also growing the daily player base a bit. Probably not by the 33% needed to keep it even in the short term, but possibly in the long term.
For example personally I really do want to improve with the Gr. 4 cars at this time, so I really want a Gr. 4 race every day. It used to be that way until a few weeks ago. But now with Gr. 1 always removing the Gr. 3 or Gr. 4 race you don't have Gr. 4 races half of the time, and even if there is one it is sometimes on ovals, where I also just don't want to race.
tbh this is getting a bit frustrating for me and in the long term I might even quit because of that, if the game doesn't really give me an enjoyable way of improving with the Gr. 4 cars (yes I could drive offline or something, but this is not really fun for me anymore).

In my opinion you could discuss whether growing the number of daily races beyond 4 races makes sense (e.g. I'd also like to have a regular one make with a faster N road car, these are always quite popular with the people on my friends list and myself), but having a fixed Gr. 4 and Gr. 3 daily every day is a must have, as well as the One Make N car is a must have. So that leaves dropping Gr. 1 or introducing a 4th race.

I took the plunge and had a few races on BB Raceway, expecting a crash fest I was actually quite surprised that over 5 races I only got smashed once and drivers were generally pretty clean. I had a 0:25.443 in the FT-1, so no poles sadly but I sneaked a win and got 2 2nds, a 3rd and a 5th so not a bad haul for a typically dodgy event. The victory was in the RSR, also used the Beetle in some races.

I raced you in one of the races that you used the FT-1 :gtpflag: it was the race you came 5th, I was ahead of you for the first 6 or so laps then you passed me (purple Beetle). Was a good battle :D. Congrats on getting a win 👍

That string of victories I mentioned quickly came to a halt after getting matched with some of the top 10 stars :p

Yes, we have 👍 you started one behind me on Dragon Trail on Tuesday evening and you came 2nd in the end I think? It looked close though as I noticed P1 and 2 kept switching on the final lap.
 
Nope sorry wrong.

Alsace is bad. People don't brake on time. Brake early ,spin,etc.

Got 2 Red SR's in 3 races plus bad finish position.

No GT Sport today :p
 
Tried the Alsace race, got put into a field of SR B (I'm S). I had forgotten just how bad the lower SR ranks are.

On another note, I noticed there was an extra Torque Distribution screen on the MFD for the Lancer. Is this on all 4WD cars and I just never noticed?
 
I'm in SR B and had a lovely clean hard race with two other guys for the lead in alsace (god knows what was happening down the back though).

I guess them's the breaks.
 
Am I the only one getting super annoyed with these daily race selections?

Its like they've forgotten that Gr3 is far and away the most popular vehicle class and that tracks like Nordschleife and Panorama even exist.

Eh, no idea if I was in your race. I qualified 5th, got bashed off in the first turn. Got back on the track, got bashed off again. Managed to climb back up for an 8th place finish, but what a sour taste for a track/car combo that's actually fairly good for a one make. I've never been put into an entire field of lower SR drivers before; I guess very few people want to drive that one.

Maybe you are at the bottom of your SR rank, so getting rounded down? I know this definitely happens on the way up...

The FIA Mount Panorama night race crushed my SR for sure, down to 84 right now, but I still shouldn't be matched with a field of SR B. The reality is that I'm in America and it's late night here. We have a paltry amount of players compared to UK/Europe.

As you say: it's just due to lack of players... not much you can do other than either be in empty grids matched perfectly, or non-scheduled races and wait for grids to populate
 
Well, I'd like an option to opt out of a race if it's going to match me with a field of SR two ranks lower. I'd rather pass on the race than risk my SR.

SR B isn't bad though imo. C is a different story altogether

Plenty of clean races in B I promise you, B is not D or E!. Im in asia though so maybe things are different out here.

No, B is pretty good here in EMEA. I dropped into C on the weekend though and, my word, it is like destruction derby. I had to avoid all of these little mini battles going on all around the track. I just hung at the back and avoided to trouble to get back into B.

No, some of them are basically a joke. The thing is all the rammers and lower ranked players probably like them, especially the tracks, the Ovals, Tokyo, etc and play them to death because they have a shot at winning and then PD see they are popular and start doing even more of them.

Friday seems to be a bad day for races, for weeks now they have been mostly awful choices. Even weekend hasn't been much better lately though. :(
 
Daily c is a good race with the right people, drafting along with fuel management you can race this one several different ways recommend SR b or above or its a nightmare for peneltys
