I did that combo once, it might have been a B race, though. For me, it was too much speed for that track. Really stressful.Gr1 at Nordschleife

I beat my best time this morning on DT SS, by 5 whole hundredths.1:46.407, it sure doesn’t feel like there’s 2 entire seconds left out there so I decided to take the top time and break it down so I could compare it with my own to see where I’m losing the time at. Answer, Everywhere.
My line is similar, my braking points are similar and my turn in points are similar, so I got to thinking where is the speed at? So I took a photo/screenshot of both my car and the top time at every Apex except T15 and T16, I took the entry to T15 and Exit of T16. There was the answer, I’m losing a little time in nearly ever single corner through the middle of the turn and it’s affecting my exit speeds. Im gonna try to adjust the point where I release full brake pressure and start to trail off the brakes in as many corners as I possible today to see if I can get my mid corner and exit speeds up without changing my brake starting points. Now to see if any of this info helps.

I'm not enjoying it as I'm mainly among D drivers. Should have seen my FIA Nations Cup last night.Your enjoying the benefits of being in category B but being a faster driver. Look at the time gaps - they are large from front to back. Mine races have been very tight indeed.
I've only had three races, and the last one, I came 13th, and lost 400 DR. Got a clean award for the race, but since I was already 99 SR, it was pretty meaningless! I drove the Porsche and started in 9th place. I pitted in lap 6 rather than 5 (I led the race for a lap hey hey) but then pitted for fuel, but I left the tyres on. But in the last lap, I was 8th, with a patient queue behind me ... the car behind had wanted to pass for a lap. So I got a slight nudge at Spoon in that last lap and I ran wide and onto the grass, loosing not much in thought - but in fact, I was back to 13th. The cars are tight with lots of fast Japanese at Suzuka! I will try again in the Porsche I guess and I'll have to change the tyres this time as well I guess. Not sure how much extra time that will cost me.
For me not to loose DR points, I'll need better qualifying I reckon. I drove the Audi in the first race and it did not feel as fast in the race as in qualifying. My qualifying is not fast enough either - my 02:00.768 is about 600th best time in Asia. I have recently been around 180 to 300 in qualifying times. On the world times for Suzuka, there are two countries who have more than one car in the top 50 - Poland and Spain. The rest of the world have only one nation's driver in the top 50 - because Japan is dominating - they have 38 in the top 50 drivers!! I need a 2 minute flat time to start around 5th on the grid, and then maybe I'll finish top 8. It's tough at Suzuka for me at the moment, and really, any Aussie in the high B and low A onwards categories must be finding it tough at Suzuka this week. I have learn't though that you can cut the chicane a lot and not be penalised - I looked at the fast qualifiers. But I haven't had time to work a faster way through the chicane yet.
I need to though but I think this week maybe over for me with a significant drop in DR, darn it.
Took 3rd in mfg a bit ago. Yields very little points in the dr D group. I have to get back to C after my full dr reset last week. Any advice for next weeks daily races? And anyone ever had to dig themselves out after a full reset?
The fastest way to gain DR is to go full speed into T1 and hope to knock out some high DR players(I did not say this)
Thank you Sven, great advice and I appreciate it. I need to knock my SR down (which might be kinda fun, although it won’t make me any friends).I just did two full resets this week by designMade it back to 20K DR without qualifying.
To speed up the process, qualify! You might find it faster to gain DR by staying out of SR.S... At max SR you will likely start in the back and often finish there. Although the average DR in the room is much higher, finishing 12th hardly yields DR no matter how many DR.A are in front of you. It's better to finish ahead of a whole room of D/B drivers. (Yet harder to survive)

This made me think of you

Good luck on the scientific approach. I only write down my screw ups![]()
Don't do it like that. On Thursday, when I was trying to lower my SR, so I could race with Sven, I went to race A without qualifying. Starting in the back with the slower guys, I was pushing people out of the way and being a total menace. Sure, I got a lot of the SR downs that I was seeking, but it was some pretty bad bullying. The people I was hitting weren't fighting back, instead just kept trying to stay clean and make their way around the track.Thank you Sven, great advice and I appreciate it. I need to knock my SR down (which might be kinda fun, although it won’t make me any friends).![]()

I think I like this a lot better. I’m a little like Sturk, it was impossible for me to collide into people. I’d hit the wall no problem. I just tried race A,starting 9, ended 4th with a clean race bonus...go figure. Isn’t that ironic. After practicing to avoid collision for several months, it’s pretty hard to unlearn. What Sturk said. All you need to do is turn around, wait for the dq timer to start counting, turn around again wait for the timer to stop and sr down to show, repeat. Just stay at the starting straight.
The fastest way to gain DR is on the daily B
A Max 33 people to take DR from per hour
B Max 45 people to take DR from per hour
C Max 38 people to take DR from per hour
It's also easier to hang on to a good quali position in shorter races without tire wear or fuel saving.
On the flip side, daily B backfield is a mess again in SR.S. First race this evening -4 SR from blows received and getting punted off. I finished 8th in a sea of red ratings. The front was blue though, got to qualify if you don't enjoy a bit of chaos!

What bothers me the most is that any touch with another car lowers your SR. Even if it's someone slightly bumping you mid-turn and you were doing nothing but driving your own clean line.
Yep, my record consecutive clean races on DT this week is .... two :/ Just that little tap on your bumper, either lag or intentional and bye bye bonus.
Now that I think about it I raced a lot this week mostly at max SR and almost always blue. But only got like 2 clean race bonuses all week, once from pole, the other from 2nd. In my case mostly I've been getting penalties either pushing too hard or avoiding traffic. My average is around a bonus every 4 races. Average this week has been 2 in around 20.
Perhaps I should figure out how to make a livery with this
given a 3 second penalty which gradually dropped to 1.3 during the race but was logged as 2 at the end.... no idea what's going on there).
