After my first 2 races at DT after my reset, I’ve got P2 from starting P6 ( clean race) and a P2 after starting P2 (clean race and fastest lap). I kind of like it down here

Since the fantasy tracks don't have names for their corners, like many of the real-world tracks do, I suppose we're the ones who get to name them. I have a couple of ideas, so far -->

@sturk0167 We all know bus-stop but how about the Taxi Rank? The turn just before bus-stop where you will regularly see a queue of cars parked all over the road.

Today I got my proof that GT Sport makes you a better driver.

I went to Kitchener to pick up a new laptop as my current one is falling apart (5+ years old). On the way back a car swerves into my lane, he was in the left lane, I'm in the right. I automatically and smoothly moved with him, keeping the same distance between the cars while placing my right wheels on the emergency strip next to the road, all without thinking. Not slamming on the brakes (cars right behind me), no adrenaline, just simply move over, lift and get behind again like what happens 5+ times per race. No SR Down. I didn't even honk or thought anything of it, business as usual. Compared to over a year ago where I had a collision with another car in quite similar fashion.

Thanks PD and all dirty drivers! Better awareness on the road comes with the game. And radar should be a standard feature in real world cars as well!

No racing for me yet, got to set up my new laptop and migrate everything over. Then I'll be tempted to try out Forza Horizon 4 on the GTX 1060.

Bringing out thy inner Gran Turismo

Bro You did the only thing you could do to spare a colision either up front or behind second nature, without thinking. I strongly believe aquiring skill in GT can save you in these out of the blue situations.

Bro, Glad that was all that happened.

Sure. It’s about time someone asked. It’s been a couple of days since the last time. http://www.lmgtfy.com/?iie=1&q=GT+sport+Companion+app

just a simple answer would have worked, but I guess being childish is more your thing. Thanks for the link, I didn’t think people still used that 10 year old gag... congratulations on finally finding it. If it hurt your little feelers so much, why not just ignore the post and move on, seems like you have some issues to sort out.

Anyone else here that doesn’t think they’re the coolest mofo on the interwebs want to tell me where that info can be found in the companion app? I have looked but cant find that information, unfortuantely. Thank you in advance, it’s much appreciated.

Holy crap race A is down to 46.5 now? How the heck are they doing that? Could someone upload a video possibly? I’d like to see how it’s done. :)

I'd like someone to explain how to get through the chicane at Suzuka properly ... I've figured that one needs to get over to the right side of the track in order to then clip the last part of the chicane at higher speed. ie turn right and clip the first corner, but stay right and then clip the second corner, heavily ... but I am never able to get the car to the right side ... old habits I reckon that I cannot seem to break ... the experts sum up chicanes by saying drive them in as straight a line as possible ... but I don't think that works at Suzuka's chicane.

How's this for consistency? I qualified for DT on both my profiles at different times during the week, and just checked to see if I'm still in the top 1,000 (I'm not). I didn't remember what they were, just that I got under 1:47 on both of them. Here are the two times:
1- 1:46.865
2- 1:46.866

Wow its a waist time to go Daily B right now. I've just exited like 3 races 3rd lap zero interest in finishing, no cares for stats whatever spun around pointing the wrong way like Weekends its just incapable drivers, its not all dirty but a lot of it, its just dirty mixed with incompetence every corner bumper cars multiple cars pin balling around every single corner all race long

Time for a break, tanked stats so lol restart after :/

I thought it was called 'The Essar Drop'.

"Essar Drop"

ROFLMFAO too Guud

Ok so after reading a good chunk of that book, it’s clear I’m not planning enough(among many other things), so, new plan, plan more!!

The week is almost over but I wanted to try it anyways to get started, I made a map of DT Seaside with corners prioritized by importance, fastest corner leading to a straight away being most important(according to the book). Plus I added notes for certain areas as reminders, the book also said to do this. Idea being to master the most important corners first, then work your way down the list until it’s complete.

There’s only 2 days left in the week so it won’t happen this week, but I’m excited to put the plan into action from here on out, Hopefully it helps.

This is my DT Seaside map so far. :)

Edit: On the topic of bumper stickers, these are my favourites. :D

You could also just have checked where you get your apps from. I believe it’s possible to type in “GT Sport” and find the app there.
Why is it so hard for people these days to actually do something themselves??

Anyway, since my reset I’ve had the best racing in a while in GTS. I’ve won 1 race, but the best part of being down here is the actual racing. It’s cleaner, on average, than when I was in Sr S  I made it up to C/B, before doing “just one more race” before going to sleep. It obviously turned into a major crash fest, so now I’m back into Sr D. But nothing a Race C, with no qualifying can’t fix.
Just one more Race B, and I’m done for the week. I hope next set of races are just as good as the last 2

Last race was another crash fest Sr down to E, but I’m finishing the week with a higher Dr than I started with...with a reset, so I’m sort of ok with that part
New Race C, here I come...I think

I got my DT time down to 46.0 this afternoon, there’s still so many places to improve but it’s nice to see at least a little time come off. Thanks again for the advice yesterday @Winnie847 it definitely helped. :)

great job. So frustrating though.. i got down to 1:46.3 but that was with my first sector at 35.9.... then i absolutely nail the first sector on another lap and get down 35.5 but then mess it up somewhere else in the lap... if only i could hook them all up together there was definitely a sub 46 in my locker!!

Daily A really suited me this week so I’m at my highest DR to date now; DR B 16,500. Last 2 races were SR S / SR A fields and me. 2nd race was not dirty but was paint swapping door banging and eyeballs out tough. My adrenaline was pumping, I was in a zone...9th on grid, SR S in the lobby...3rd on the line.

I managed a 1:45.7 at Dragon Trail the other day, and I can't believe this was my fastest lap, since I made some obvious errors. I went through the S-turns really sloppy but kept my right foot planted and somehow made it through in one piece. I hit a few curbs harder than I wanted, plus went through the bus stop a bit slow. I'm a B/S driver, so this time has gotten me pole position most races since then.

So... no new schedule until now. It‘s 0:15 and I gotta get to sleep now. Curious what‘s going to be the race to compete in next week but tomorrow is going to be a tough day at work since I got a project going productive and I doubt I‘ll switch on my PS4 tomorrow.

But this was a fun week with these daylies.

Once again your douchebaggery is showing, instead of helping someone you choose to show your ass. I simply asked because I am currently out of town and using a free wifi in a mall that most likely wouldnt be fast enough to download an app so just asked someone politely what app it was. Didn’t think it deserved a smartass punk response but I guess I never dealt with you before and didn’t know what a child you were. You seem to be a pretty fun guy, Have a nice day

I downloaded the app recently and my profile was automatically added. Clic on the driver icon at the bottom center to see your profile, then swipe right or clic on "history" to see your stats.

I have since returned to the hotel and was able to download the app and have it set up but thanks for the help Gerciser. I imagine this courteous reply must have been pure torture lol
