Tokyo Central wouldn't be hot garbage if there was run-off.
But there isn't, so it is.

Dirty Driver Self Imposed Justice
...But I also abhor how the current system ultimately leads to two scenarios, regarding these trophies: they punish the act of increasing your DR, as you are eventually matched with opponents that are improbable to beat in regards to both qualifying and racing, and thus, they encourage deliberately dropping your SR so you can gain easy poles/wins against brainlets.
I enjoy, and usually do well at the Tokyo tracks. I've been running from the back so far. Best finish is 5th. I think I can podium with a semi clean group. My last race tonight I started last (P13) and finished 5th, but I waste a lot of time trying to get by people. Only had 2 seconds of penalties for getting slammed into a wall. The key seems to be keeping distance and getting a good drive. Most passes are either inside with a bit of rubbing going in (everyone tries to slam you into the wall), or when I see someone scrape the wall coming out I'll fake inside, then go outside and slide between them and the wall. The 4C is amazing here. I'll have to qualify this weekend and see what I can put down, and try for a win or 2. Best race lap was a mid 19.
Yep - the better you get, the harder it gets. And its also easy to loose a lot of DR at times, like 1600 in one race as an example.
But ... the qualifying does give you some insurance. Yes - at most tracks its an advantage.
Some people also race with two names - and when they are confident, they then race when they can improve. I don't even know how to setup another name to race under.
Doesn't matter anyway for me - GT Sport saves itself and confirms everything is fine, and then it plays some music and provides me a black screen. Maybe Asia's server is broken ...
I wondered how to set up a 2nd account too.
Does the new PSN id go through the PSPlus I already have? I won't likely make a new one until I "git gud" with this one. Just wondering.
trollingI wonder why the guy in 1st took a pitstop.
IMO Tokyo’s layouts seem to be best for certain sorts of cars. The central layouts seem best for N400 cars or lower, the east layouts are good for N500 to Gr.4, and the south layouts can be fun even with Gr.3 cars, maybe even Gr.2 & Gr.1. I’d love a Daihatsu VGT one-make at one of the central layout,ls, for example. And I also personally love how each reverse configuration isn’t a 1:1 reversal - this is most obvious in the south layouts.
FYI, this thread is relevant for the dailies.

I tested ABS weak versus default and found that ABS default is a must have setting for any tire wear race. It's not even close.
Also, 7-8 laps on Hards and 5-6 on Mediums seems like a winning combo. The Hards seem to be faster over 7 laps than the mediums. After 3 laps, the Hards are definitely faster. If you can stay smooth for the first few laps, you will be at least as fast or faster than a car on medium from laps 4 onward.
I pit on lap 7 or 8 depending on the gap to the car behind.
After a change to mediums, they first few corners are not that great because of the colder tires. I see a lot of folks go off on corner 1 coming out of the pits.
Very enjoyable race today at Tokyo. Gained many places and overall it was a clean race. Back to SR-99 again. (And a much better livery for now)
A third account? Geez. Does that tie you with @suprajef ? I'll figure out your account name, pretty soon. Or, maybe @Oshawa-Joe will. He got mine. I guess mine's not really secret. I gave it away twice.BTW, I also have a new super secret profile Mr @sturk0167![]()

For me, it's a means to an end. Sure, you could do some bashing, but I created a 2nd account to preserve my original one. I set a personal goal to get to 50,000 DR points. I'm not good enough to do it straight up. I'll only be using my original account to race when I know I'll be able to compete for a podium spot (gaming the system, for sure). Since there aren't a lot of car/track combos that I'm good at, I would hardly ever be able to race, without a second account, for which I don't care about it's ratings (that makes me dangerousIs an alt account just an opportunity to bash?
I dunno just askin.
He's been on the run awhile.Pigems is doing it to hide from the R.C.M.P., I believe.
I think I figured out what it is. No sure yet, though. If it's the one I think it is, then yeah, you made it pretty obvious.I’ve been wanting to race the past couple weeks but my son is always on his account(the one I used to share with him) so I can’t use that one much, so I made a new one that I can use anytime. I didn’t hide the name very well though.![]()

Reminds me when there was a daily race with the Daihatsu VGT at East Outer Loop during the beta. Good times.IMO Tokyo’s layouts seem to be best for certain sorts of cars.
