-Sorry for the double post-

Won my 2nd race at Suzuka with the Miata. Projected to finish 11th, had a near spin out on turn 1 after someone hit me from behind, but I counter-steered and was eventually able to take 1st in Lap 2 without looking back.

This has been discussed a number of times on the forums and I’m actually convinced that it’s true. If Polyphony Digital doesn’t confirm this, then it’s at least a sound enough theory.
I'd always assumed your door number depended on when you enter the event - if I enter 10 minutes before the start time I get door number 1, 2 or 3, if I enter 1 minute before I get 14,15 +......

Had a lot of fun racing GR1 Suzuka Daily C race the other day using the Toyota TS030 GT-ONE (I have not raced GR1 before). Set a terrible one lap qualifying time of 2:01:9xx (3 trips into the sand) so started 17th. Got involved in some opening lap carnage, but recovered to 10th really enjoying catching and overtaking the drivers ahead. Decided not to improve my qualifying time, and went from 18th to 8th, and then 13th to 7th in the next races. I then bought the Porsche 919 and went from 19th to 9th, and then 18th to 4th. The matchmaking was pretty mixed; the rare DRS, a few DRA, mainly DRB and the odd DRC, but overall the drivers were very good to drive with.

That’s also a possibility, though the more I play a particular race (today’s Race A) and the more gains on the grid I make in previous races, the higher my door number gets. And I’ve enteted at different times. Sometimes I’m the early bird, other times I’m a straggler.

Nations Cup was a nightmare tonight (S,S / A,S level).
Qualified 2nd (should've been 1st really). Was t-boned three times - first lap, middle of race, and last corner. I sometimes wonder how some drivers have an 'S, S' rating.
Why do some drivers have this mentality of smashing into players in front because they cannot accept the driver in front is quicker/better than them?
I have an hour maximum to practise because of other commitments, then my night of racing is ruined by selfishness and banditry.

Good old Monza, even after years of racing on this track in other games, t1 is still chaos most of the time. I start 7th, get crashed to last place in the first corner by the guy who started 9th, finish 6th.

1:47.1 in the lambo. Still lots of time left in it. I don’t change tires during the pit stop but I keep it all full power for the entire race. It seems to work ok.

I skipped Monza Completely today, went for dragon's trail and for the first few races it was pretty clean but after some time it became a smash fest, at some point I lost my temper and start giving back... I got 5 poles and was only able to win one race because of the dirty drivers.

as much as i love dragon trail its a SR nightmare , the amount of blind people who NEVER check their inside line , bam they turn in on you and guess who takes the damn penalty? lost 40 SR points today although i had consistently top 5 finishes

Monza and Dragontrail are about even in carnage today, there's more time to recover on Monza at least. Short cut the second part of the chicane and knock someone out is a popular strategy, it's the usual 95% cross the finish with a penalty. I ended up with penalties as well as apparently when someone clips you before taking the short cut at T1, the time penalty goes to you...

I also had a disconnect after finishing during the timer countdown, 22 sec left to go to finalize results, and still got the full DR hit and SR loss from disconnecting. Fix your **** PD.

Yup was absolutely brutal tonight, got a few replays to upload in the morning

There was one guy throughout all the day at Dragon Trail being an absolute cod piece, ramming, dive bombing, side banging, weaving - everything basically. His user name mentioned a colour that might be related to grass, a vegetable that comes in a pod and a number that's more than 1 but less than 3 and was in a Redbull liveried Beetle. After being relentlessly rammed and dive bombed by him throughout the day I lost my rag. I was 2 cars behind him on the main straight and saw him deliberately side swipe a 911, spinning him out. So I did my first ever deliberate ram and boy it felt good! He went from 5th to dead last and when the race finished I put a message up to him "THAT'S instant karma pal". He wasn't very happy about it, i can't figure out why haha!

I was pole and doing fine and would've won the race at Dragon Tail with the 650S but I clipped a corner in the bus stop and screwed up, finished 3rd, the two Porsches ahead of me were about 0.07 seconds apart at the finish line, holy cow.

Did the FIA nation race
Qualified 3rd and finished 3rd
I got push in the 1st corner and then "pinballed" in the 2nd and 3rd corners
in total lost -21 SR point:mad: from 99 to 78:grumpy:
Tried hard to get back to 3rd finish

I still can't get Monza right since I still feels track limit on this game is too narrow.

Monza turned into derby mode again, time to take a break. I did go from 16th to 3rd in the race before last. Still cost 4 SR from all the people using my bumper as a braking point, A/S sure is aggressive again tonight. 13th to 7th last race, yet again -4 SR for getting used as a brake. How come B/S drivers are better at braking in slipstream than A/S?

Had some fun, getting 2nd in the Miata .6 behind the winner, who qualified almost 2 seconds faster lap than I did, which is odd. We ran 1-2 for 4 laps never seperated by more than .7.

But Dragon tail was brutal, i kept backing off to avoid rear ending a slower driver as we battled for 12th or 13th place in our Corvettes. After a few crashed in the chicane I was up to 11th, heading to the last turn battling a Mustang for 10th and a slower car was on the inside scrubbing off a penalty. I tried going on his inside, over the curb, 5 second penalty, sliding tying to stay on the inside, but crossed up, tapped the crawling car, dropped my DR, got more time added, 16th place.

There should be a course for scrubbing penalty time by slowing outside the line on the straight before the finish. Or as I prefer, a little at a time if it happens early, and not in the last turn of course...I slowed on the inside line of the main straight. Smh

My first Gr. 3 win :gtpflag:

Wasn't the top tier race of course, but still proud to be able to do it in the M6 without any assists.

Bit unsure about my maneuver at the beginning of lap 2, I moved to the left in front of the Dutch guy before turn 1 shorty before the braking zone. When driving I thought it was more predictable but in the replay the move was not so slow and pretty late and I'd probably have been pissed off a bit if I was the Dutch guy. Thankfully he didn't bump into me and I guess it was "legal" as I only switched the driving line once, but still a rather annoying move from myself.

I have quick question, does anyone know what time the daily race tracks are updated in the US?

@Qyn

* they just switched over to the new races. (2:30pm for Daily Race C and 2:40pm for daily race A and B) - Hong Kong/Singapore Time zone

** That would be 10:30pm for Daily Race C and 10:40pm for Daily Race A and B (San Francisco time zone)

*** 1:30am for Race C and 1:40am for Race A and B (Washington DC time zone)

Got it. Thanks! I've been kicked out of races recently only to have new tracks when trying rejoin.

Last night race, Actually I don't think I can manage to top 4 even on top 7 but lot of carnage in front really give me big advantage.

RX7 one make say whaaaaaat

But I do hate all willow springs variations so Gr1 at maggiore today. Not sure I fancy brands hatch

Has anyone had drivers serving their penalties at the main straight on last lap and they try to block you so you don't take the position? This happened to me yesterday at dragon three or four times. I don't know why they don't accept they had been penalised and just give up their position, I got a couple of penalties that in my opinion wasn't my fault and I just served my penalty letting the other drivers pass or just assuming the time penalty to the final race time.

I did that yesterday as a guy rammed me off the track and got me a 7 second penalty so tried losing it on the straight but didn’t manage to lose it all so not only did I slow down at the end it still added a further 7 seconds to my time

Brands Hatch:

So disappointing race for me, BUT, what happened to me after pitting,

at min 35 -

I just lost control over DS4!

It was happening in FM6 sometimes but never here!
I have 3.5mm headphones in gamepad and that is some weird conflict!

A short question: there's this "no naming and shaming" cleverness here, so I can not name who "I'm proud of". But it seems to be no problem with the videos showing some idiots ruining the game?
