Nothing to do with the thread but after one daily race at the new blue moon I decided to leave sport mode and try completing the offline gt leage.... Oh boy it is BORING! I rather get punted and penalised all race long in sport mode than racing such useless AI.

I love to set them under pressure. They will always crash or spin off

But yes, compared to the intense online races, this is just a sunday drive for me now ;)

The only time I don't like that track (or its variations) is when it involves classes N400+. There's a lot more wall crashing, both intentional and unintentional.

One of the few times I've gotten a clean race there was in Gr.3. 1st place was a long way in front of me, and 3rd was so far behind I didn't have to worry.

need 5 or 6 races to adapt with this reverse Catalunya , at early days I only can drive this track with AMG GT3 since it have better accel and more shorter but last 2 races I already back with BMW.

I still can doing some divebomb or other thing with rated down my SR like before so I think I done have any problem, even though once I get it I confuse about how to make it gone like before :boggled:

This evening on Tokyo there was the "dive bombing festival" :nervous: at te first turn..

If anything, I’ve learned that you’ve just got to deal with it. Not saying you haven’t. I’ve been working on my confidence as a player for the past month. I try to do each of the daily races at least once. The good news about DR/SR is that, like a credit score, it can be repaired.

Only had time to get in one race today (Race A) with the MR-2 and the new penalty system seems to be working pretty well. I started in 10th place, 4 players either rage quit or got DQ’d due to unobserved penalties, which put me at 6th and I got bumped up to 4th at the end of the race due to more unobserved penalties.

I’m actually okay with this. It’s really going to level the playing field. Also, I don’t recall getting a single orange down arrow despite being bumped a few times by overzealous drivers. So it seems to be putting the blame more on the instigators.

That’s just my observation on one race. Maybe I got lucky, but I hope it stays this way.

In some kind of protest and as a result of big disappointment bcs no new tracks added, yesterday I did 0km, after Wednesday's record of 507.

Now will try Willow Springs:

Edit: or no, not sleeping, big cold and headache seems like resulted that I forget to drive!

Thank you Kaz on beautiful update!

When is the last time Panorama has been a daily? Come on. We get Kyoto and Maggiore every week.

Welcome back
Cheers bud 👍

It was horrible

Anyway.... the new SR system  - got bumped twice on Blue Moon last night and received no orange SR warnings and got clean race bonus!!!!!!

Edit: I couldn't believe it... you know that moment when you think ffs and expect the orange to pop up, or at best you pass the sector with no SR marker... then I passed the sector and that little green sign appeared... I was like wooooohoooo :D

A) BB Raceway -- One Make (MR2)
B) Maggiore East Reverse -- Gr.4
C) Yamagiwa -- Gr.3
As expected another oval variation, few others to go for the week, plus I feel sad when I have to see a track called east reverse. Why, how does that even make sense
Oh whatever it’s in GR4, so it will probably involve going flat out throughout the “track”

Thanks! Gonna spam Race C later, hopefully the new penalty system goes easy on me :nervous:

It seems the sensitive penalties were an experiment on the new track?
Though you can't scrub penalties anymore without really slowing down.

I got hit hard from behind in lap 2, 2 sec penalty, never even went down a millisecond. Yet I also got bumped into and pushed off the track without any penalties registering. On the Bluemoon Daily B that would have caused plenty of time penalties.

So basically business as usual at Yamagiwa.

Last race on Bluemoon I got bumped on the inside, used as a guard rail, 2 sec penalty.
Then the same person caused a crash right in front of me, could not avoid, 10 sec penalty.
Much harder bump on Yamagiwa only 2 sec, used as a guard rail, nothing.

It's the East section of Maggiore, backwards. What's not clear?
No worries, all is clear now
Edit: for avoidance of doubt, it was an ironic comment on the existence of a reversed and east track not on its name

Thanks for the info! 👍
Weird how only the newer tracks have updates regarding penalties though (Monza had very strict shortcut penalties when it was added in 1.11, and now the equally strict Bluemoon raceway variation in regards to collision penalties)

Just raced Yamagiwa. These penalty changes are weird. Almost every lap I had to swerve around someone who was crawling along a straight trying to burn off a penalty. The only penalty I got was spacing out on that short chicane near the end and flying into the wall because I didn't brake. I was actually too scared to try to burn it off on curves, so I became one of the road hazards burning off a 3 sec penalty as well. :/

It kind of cemented for me that allowing people to scrub off penalties is a bad game design decision as it just creates mayhem for others. Penalties should stick and be tallied at the end of the race.

One weird thing that happened -- on that chicane after the downhill a Porsche and I collided, and then they bashed into me twice again. I didn't get a penalty at all. Didn't get a message that the other driver did, but I'd assume so? Or maybe if the other driver already has a penalty, I don't get one? (that actually might be a good idea if that doesn't already happen)

I imagine the first one make race with the F1500T-A is gonna be a graveyard for safety ratings.
Thanks for the info! 👍

its like they have to manually setup each track with its own penalties

Awesome. Don't care about getting a message about the other driver tbh, all I care about is me NOT getting one for being hit.

For track limits that obviously makes sense, but for collision detection? The only way I can see collision detection needing to be different per track is to make it more lenient on an oval so bump drafting is possible, however that isn't the case.

@Nuschel01!

I was in a few races in the R32 with you the other evening... firstly with 2 of the top 10 and then with the laggy Italian who nailed everyone just after the beginning of the race. I also benefited from the Fin who wiped you out on the chicane at the end of lap 1 (and who then went too wide on T1/T2 himself) :O

What‘s your ID? I had like +20 races that day, won 7 or 8 late in the night. Was good fun :)
