On another note : I just had the weirdest experience. Joined the Race C today for my first race. Had no sounds except the engine all race.
Grid start was chaos and I had 16.5 sec of penalty time from accelerating in a straight line before T1. Really... I don't even think I made any contact but hard to tell considering no audio cues( visually nothing happened) so I pulled over to run it out and ran the rest of the race in last place with noone near me.


Halfway through the race I get bumped... By no one... But it gave me a 5sec penalty and a 1 sec penalty to someone who was halfway round the track from me. No lag at all so....wtf?... Then I finish the race down to SR B when I started the race at SR S (99).... WTH even happened?

So that was fun. I spent all week making up for a disasterous run on Tokyo last week just to have a glitchy single race and now I'm back to square 1... Fun fun fun. May take a few days off sport mode til this gets fixed.

I don't even know what to think. I settled in for a good long night of racing and now I'm sitting here after one race considering quitting the game for a while. I worked hard to get my rating back to normal and now its all for nothing:irked: waste of firggin time

Edit: kudos says I lost 45 SR points in one race. In ONE race... where I ran by myself the entire race..... Why even try....

I'm really bummed. I love this game and I feel really let down tonight. Looks like I'll have a productive weekend without any gaming:guilty:

It's very glitchy indeed. The sounds keep messing up and lag is still a big issue. In one of the races I did a laggy car started jumping around taking out all the cars around him, then continued driving as normal. After the race he complained other people were taking him out all the time.

Anyway the 10 lap race with the red bull junior is quite boring tbh. I ran out of steam after just a few races and just didn't care for the car anymore. I worked hard on the daily B to get back to SR 99 after Monza last night, and now the daily C is just bleh. Plus I kept forgetting to press gas at the start waiting for auto drive to get going :)

I think I'll give the VR time trials a go and then switch to Wipeout VR. First night this year I won't be racing sport mode...
 
I really loved the RedBull Jr!!! Got seventh in the leaderboard, yeah!

Got some wins! And even did a big comeback! My wheel disconnected in the first turn after staring from pole. It took a long time for it to get ready again. Still, I managed to finish 3rd. I saved the replay!
 
I did a few time trials in VR, however driving alone is kinda boring, so I played Wipeout VR instead.
Nurb and Brand's hatch are always fun so I'll be back in sport mode tomorrow!

My first ever race at Nurb was ruined by disconnection. 2nd place :banghead::banghead::banghead::grumpy:

Waiting the game end to know how many DR I would lose:mad:

I witnessed that run, you went from last and came back through the field very nice. You had extremely good pace in that car eh?

I think i went from from 18 to...maybe 12th cant remember. Damn tho my best time was almost 4 seconds slower than your qualy time... dont know how you went that low hahah.

Honestly from my experience, yeah you do. I find EU and Asia to be equally clean, but if I have to choose a cleaner region the EU is one bit cleaner. But both regions are way cleaner than the US

also must take into consideration US is the most populated server, so you’re bound to deal with a higher ratio of scrubs trying to climb through the lower levels you’re at. once you get over 50-55k there is great racing to be found. i’ve had many great close clean racing across the dailies and fia seasons.

Fair enough. Maybe my time zone also has something to do with this
I'll try and check again when I'm S in the US
 
Are you 🤬 kidding me today's selection is pretty dam good to say the least, I would be spending hours today around the ring and brands hatch.
But wait..... My T500 won't work and there is no way I'm going to enter either with a controller as my
S / S rank will turn to 🤬.

Down my Race C. Every race I’ve gone forwards 3-5 places (3 races so far)
DR gone down 500, 500 then 2000!

Any ideas why?

Because you're matched with lower rank players.

If you're DR:S you have to finished Top 3 no matter where your grid is and how much places you improved.
 
Nice 3rd place at brands. Good platform to start on today. Only decent race today. Here's a nice shot of my car.

I’m DR A and finished ahead of some A and B and behind some A and B. But relative to qually. So I should do a better qually then?

the algorithm is, your DR with get deducted if you finish behind anyone whose DR point is lower than you (points not rank.)

so, to keep getting DR points or even just maintain your current points you have to finish well, that usually comes with good qualification times.

for example I got matched with about 14 DR D as DR:A and I got only 14 DR points along with the victory, pole, fastest lap and clean race.

If your quali is putting you in the lower half of the field, yeah get abetter quali
In the end almost all of the DR gain is solely on your finishing position. Upper half would mostly suffice at your ranking
