You don't need to manage anything. Just go all-out and remember to pit.

Not in my experience...tyres are cooked after 2 and a half laps, and I have to slow down! For me it ruins the idea of a longer race, it would be nice to have some longer races with no tyre wear, if you want to force people to pit then fine leave the fuel consumption on, although it seems pointless.
 
Today's and yesterday's daily race schedule is a joke. I don't feel comfortable with any of them and I herefore never returning to it.

Here we go again, if you start on the pole at tokyo youre screwed, starts you at the top of 1st gear, by the time you get shifted the whole pack is there , massive penalties, bout ready to go to PC2
You can use the shifter. Put in in 2nd gear and your problem is solved. If you dont have the shifter or even dont have a racing wheel than I cannot help you :)
 
That sharp left with the dip in the esses on the hill at Bathurst? Yeah, that corner can go to hell.

Find the fastest pace you can maintain that is also smooth and consistent. On my best days I can do every lap of the race within less than a second of each other, but of course that means you won't be matching your qualifying times. Just keep from spinning the tires or sliding too much and you should be good.

The one makes sounds boring... and now two of them. Bathurst sounds interesting, i think i give it a try even if GR.3 not my favorite class is.
 
No need to be rude, i race every day and todays races are mostly awful especially for lower classes maybe race C offers some chance of a clean race the others well.... Brands hatch one make is a mess, a standing start is not suited to C/C drivers as its so bunched up contact is almost guaranteed. Tried the race twice so far quali 3rd both times punted into the sand at Druids and down to last, out of the 32 cars in two races there where 5 blue SR the remaining racers where all red. Will give Brands one more go though, surely it can't happen three times in a row?
Edit: Well didn't get knocked off at turn two this time, got slowly eased off by someone trying to go down the inside in turn one. The race was a lot cleaner though only 2 or 3 red at the end, guess i was really unlucky on my first two tries....
Race 4 and was pretty much 50/50 red blue, unfortunately i got red. 43 manner points lost in 4 race B's.
Lost so many points heading for a reset so going to try Race C only had time for one lap quali which bagged me 2nd on the grid, got a few Beetles in the race flying the yellow n red flag.
I was right about C was mostly clean, obviously starting 2nd helped a lot managed to get this though....

Race B is for Brands Hatch GP or Indy??? (added doubt)
 
Well I know the race choices today are not the best selection but I have a good "vibe" that I can improve with the two one
make races so I shall see how I get on with them in a few hours, roll on work finishing!
 
Total chaos on Brands during Race B for me today. Did 2 races, starting 7-8. I didn’t have much time to qualify. The standing start was murderous, as I got punted off at turn one in both races and fell way back. During the second race I somehow managed to get 7 seconds worth of penalties that I had to scrub off. Net result of those 2 races: finished 14/16 and 11/12. Lost over 1200 DR and 13 SR. I may give it another go later tonight or practice for Sunday with the SNAIL guys.

Two track I love today, too bad it's hard to love the people racing there as well. Another day of dodging missiles and defensive driving to stop noses from attempting to force you off in corners where overtaking is not feasible.

The big decision is, try to qualify well and start in front to risk getting punted off at the start / first lap, or start in the back for a relaxed first lap yet have to deal with the backfield by default.

For me I am going to go with trying to deal with the backfield option and see how things go then if not making progress try qualifying with a best lap.
 
I don't think some people realise the TT is fwd. Maybe they think it has quattro and driving it all wrong.

Yes I was, it seems you should turn on ASM to go faster. Yes I'm not doing that, so done for today again, without racing again.
 
Met Blacki2k2, qualified 7th and finished 6th. -400DR :ouch:

OUCH! If I was to finish that high I'd be rolling in DR. I take it you were a naughty boy and were being punished by being matched with the lower ranks?

Yeah, that's what I keep thinking. That I might need to deliberately sabotage my SR in order to get fairer matchmaking. XD

I dunno if that's what I should do, though... Either that, or git gud. XD

Just keep plugging away. I used to get mismatched against the higher ranks but most of my races lately have been my DR and the DR above mostly, with maybe a random higher DR thrown in. I'd rather be mismatched and have a clean battle at the back than tank my SR deliberately just for the sake of improving my DR.
